The purpose of this research is to seek the suggestions applicable to Korean green-growth(development) policy and the realization of low carbon society by looking around the promotion policy and the process, the promotion system, main environmental policy in each city about the business for environmental model city in Japan which has been promoted in a city in order to realize low-carbon society. Japan had selected 13 local governments as an environmental model city as a part of a policy to build low-carbon society in 2008~2009, and Japan has formed information sharing between cities and provinces, the spread of information sharing and the free competition among local governments for an environmental model city through Zero Carbon City Promotion Council consisting of local governments and specialists. When examining these cases in Japan, the green-growth policy promoting currently in Korea needs to be converted from the central government-dominated policy to the local government-dominated policy and Koreaneeds to make more effort to develop software programs in order to realize green-growth social system.

In this work, the (K1-xAgx)(Ta0.8Nb0.2)O3 (x=0.1-0.4) ceramics were fabricated using mixed-oxide method, and their structural and electrical properties were measured. All specimens represented a pseudo cubic structure with the lattice constant of 0.3989 nm. When 0.4 mol of Ag was added, second phases induced from metallic Ag and K2(Ta,Nb)6O16 phase were observed. Dielectric constant and dielectric loss of K(Ta0.8Nb0.2)O3 specimen doped with 0.3 mol of Ag were 2,737 and 0.446, respectively. The curie temperature was about -5℃, which does not change with Ag addition. The remanent polarization began to decrease sharply around 12~15℃, and the temperature at which the remanent polarization began to decrease as the applied voltage increased shifted to the high temperature side. The electrocaloric effect (ΔT) and electrocaloric efficiency (ΔT/ΔE) of the (K0.7Ag0.3)(Ta0.8Nb0.2)O3 ceramics were 0.01024℃ and 0.01825 KmV-1, respectively.

La0.7-xCexSr0.3MnO3 specimens were fabricated by a solid state reaction method and structural and electrical properties with variation of Ce4+ contents were measured. All specimens exhibited a polycrystalline rhombohedral crystal structure, and the (110) peaks were shifted to low angle side with increasing the amount of Ce4+ contents. As Ce4+ ions with different ion radii and charges are substituted with La3+ ions, electrical properties are thought to be affected by changes in the double exchange interaction between Mn3+-Mn4+ ions due to distortion of the unit lattice, a decrease in oxygen vacancy concentration, and an increase in lattice defects. Resistivity gradually decrease as the amount of Ce4+ added increased, and negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR) properties were shown in all specimens. In the La0.5Ce0.2Sr0.3MnO3 specimens, electrical resistivity, TCR and B-value were 31.8 Ω-cm, 0.55%/℃ and 605 K, respectively.

La0.7Sr0.3-xMgxMnO3 (LSMMO) (x=0.05~0.20) specimens are fabricated by a solid phase sintering method, and the sintering temperature and time are 1,300℃ and 2 hours, respectively. The dependence of the crystalline structure according to the amount of Mg2+ contents is not observed, and all specimens show a polycrystalline rhombohedral crystal structure, the X-ray diffraction (110) peaks move to the high angle side with increasing the amount of Mg2+ contents. LSMMO specimens exhibit a granule-shaped microstructure with an average grain size of 1 ㎛ or less. Resistivity gradually decrease as the amount of Mg2+ contents increased. And in the La0.7Sr0.1Mg0.2MnO3 specimen, resistivity and B25/65-value are 36.7 Ω-cm and 394 K at room temperature, respectively. LSMMO specimens show a variable-range hopping (VRH) electrical conduction mechanism, and the negative temperature of coefficient of resistance (NTCR) is approximately 0.37~0.38%/℃.

(La0.7Sr0.3)(Mn1-xFex)O3 (LSMFO) (x = 0.03, 0.06, 0.09, 0.12) precursor solution are prepared by sol-gel method. LSMFO thin films are fabricated by the spin-coating method on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate, and the sintering temperature and time are 800℃ and 1 hr, respectively. The average thickness of the 6-times coated LSMFO films is about 181 to 190 nm and average grain size is about 18 to 20 nm. As the amount of Fe added in the LSMFO thin film increased, the resistivity decreased, and the TCR and B25/65-value increased. Electrical resistivity, TCR and B25/65-value of the (La0.7Sr0.3)(Mn0.88Fe0.12)O3 thin film are 0.0136 mΩ-cm, 0.358%/℃, and 328 K at room temperature, respectively. The resistivity properties of LSMFO thin films matched well with Mott's VRH model.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the consistency of socially responsible consumer attitudes and behaviors toward environment problem. The major findings were as follows; 1. Amidst dynamic business environment, creating competitive advantage, source of competitiveness, is a critical issue for international port operations. To overcome limitations of prior studies adopted cross-sectional approach, this study reviews a way to continually sustain and create competitive advantage, based on the case of Busan port in South Korea. Development plans, operations and management practices from2005 to 2014 were investigated and reviewed. Results revealed that enhancement of infrastructure, new engine to sustainable growth, green and safety, and partnership enhancement were a source of creating competitive advantage. The results help theoretical advances on competitiveness and its durability, and provide useful insights for creating competitive advantages and future improvement in international port operations.
Electricity is basic need for country development. But at the present time proper planning and policy is require at high pace for power generation network extension due to the increasing population growth rate. Present study aimed to analyze the present and future demand for electricity at household level in Province of Balochistan of Pakistan via simulation modeling. Data of year 2004-2005 was used as baseline data for electricity consumption to predict future demand of electricity at both rural and urban domestic level up to subsequent 30 years, with help of LEAP software. Basically three scenarios were created to run software. One scenario was Business-As-Usual and other two were green scenarios i.e., solar and wind energy scenarios. Results predicted that by using alternative energy sources, demand for electricity will be fulfill and will also reduce burden on non-renewable energy sources due to the greater potential for solar and wind energy present in Balochistan.
This paper focuses on how an integrated or systemic approach is needed to both investigate and connect different kinds of interdisciplinary inquiry and knowledge within and beyond universities to encourage more productive collaboration with the other three ‘macro stakeholders’ - government, business, and the wider community. In this way universities can and should provide a greater leadership role in sustainability, innovation and policy studies. Such a framework is needed to also help to change the view of many that academics should just play a supporting role of providing specialised technical expertise only to the other macro stakeholders. The interdisciplinary and collaborative framework developed here is applied to the on-going water crisis in Malaysia - an exemplary complex problem-solving basis for seeking sustainable policy solutions to diverse challenges. As further discussed, this was applied also in practice to a multi-stakeholder seminar on addressing the difficult policy challenges of the Malaysian water industry and sector.
Such Hinterland in New Busan-Jinhae Port are so placed as to do harm to their surrounding residential areas due to traffic, noise and dirt, etc. according to the current plan. So they are likely to fail to serve as harbors and residential districts. Because this is responsible for a conflict between harbors and urban functions, plans for the use of such areas should be well planned enough to achieve win-win results by getting rid of a conflict between the harbors and urban functions by creating manufactural and industrial complexes and green parks close to harbor logistics, by consolidating the functions of the cities through exchanges, commercial business and educational facilities and by adding comfort facilities at the hinterland of Ungdong and Myeongji.
