This paper introduces an experimental study on the grazing incidence sound absorptions for duct silencers filed with a glass wool and consisted of a perforated panel. The experimental results are discussed in comparison with the normal incidence sound absorption. And also the transmission loss for duct silencers are measured and compared with the sound absorption performances. From the experimental results, it is shown that the resonance frequency bandwidth on the transmission loss and sound absorption coefficient for duct silencers has a good agreement.

Morphological evolution of amorphous carbon film is investigated by molecular dynamics simulation. Here, energetic carbon atoms (75 eV) are deposited on the diamond (001) substrate to find effect of incidence angles. At normal and near-normal incidences ($0^{\circ}{\sim}30^{\circ}$) atomically smooth surfaces are observed during their growth. However, rough surfaces emerge and develop into a ripple structure at grazing incidences ($60^{\circ}{\sim}70^{\circ}$). The different growth modes according to the incidence angles can be described by impact-induced displacements of atoms. Downhill transport along any sloped surfaces is predominant for the case of normal incidence. As the incidence angles become grazing, uphill transport is allowed along the surfaces, which have smaller slopes than incidence angle, so the surface features can be amplified. Impact-induced transport and self-shadowing effect can be responsible to the initial growth of seeding structures at a grazing incidence, which would be grown up as tilted columnar structures in further depositions.

Tile present study was carried out to investigate the incidence of bovine brucellsis in Cheju-do during the period from 1985 to 1990. The results were summarized as follows. 1. In the total 239,238 cattles tested. 1180(0.49%) were positive by standard tube agglutination test during the period from 1985 to 1990. 2. The major causes of incidence on brucellosis was grazing with carriers and repeated incidence in a herd. 3. The 13 Brucella abortus biotype 1 isolated from 10(50％) of 20 cattles slaughtered on brucellosis in 1990.

The study was conducted in the Bangladesh Agricultural University campus, Mymensingh, from July 1988 to June 1990. Five grazing fields consisting of five different vegetations were selected for this study. The specimen were collected from this study. The specimen were collected from the grazing fields by dragging method. The results revealed that two species of ticks namely Boophilus microplus and Haemaphysalis bispinosa were collected from five different vegetation. The highest incidence of both B. microplus and H. bispinosa were recorded during winter season and lowest in Monsoon for the year of 1988-89 and 1989-90. These two species were significantly occurred in Winter followed by Monsoon and Autumn.

XeCl 엑시머 레이저로 펌핑되는 쌍공진기형 색소레이저와 2단 증폭시스템을 개발하여 원격계측 시스템에 적합한 두 개의 파장을 동시 또는 순차적으로 출력하였다. 개발된 쌍공진기는 1200 g/mm의 회절격자를 갖는 grazing-incidence 방법에서 제 1차 및 제 2차 회절차수를 이용하여 구성되었다. 출력특성은 스펙트럼 선폭이 10 pm이하이고, 펌프 에너지에 대하 전체효율은 6% 이상이다. 또한, 파장가변 영역은 제 1차 및 제 2차의 회절차수에 대해 각각 434-470 nm, 436-468 nm 이며, 2단의 증폭기의 증폭이득은 37dB, 추출효율은 9%이다. 개발된 레이저 증폭시스템에서 Coumarine-450의 색소로 발진하고, 이의 출력 6 mJ을 원격계측시스템에 적용하여 수원상공의 NO$_2$의 가스농도분포를 측정하였다. 이 결과 개발된 색소레이저 시스템은 원격계측 시스템의 광원으로 매우 적합함을 확인하였다.

The HFMX((High Flux Macromolecular X-ray crystallography) beamline at Pohang Accelerator Laboratory uses beams from a multi-pole wiggler. Two horizontal and vertical slits relevant to high heat-load are installed at its front-end. In order to treat high heat-load with reducing beam scattering, the horizontal slit has two Glidcop blocks with a grazing incidence angle of $10^{\circ}$ of a grazing-incidence knife-edge configuration. The blocks adjust the slit gap by being translated along guides by two actuating bars, respectively. Water flowing through holes, drilled along the actuating bars, cools the heat-load of both blocks. The vortical slit has the same structure as the horizontal slit except its installation direction with respect to the vacuum chamber and its grazing incidence angle. By virtue of a pair of blocks translating on guides, no alignment between both blocks is required and the installed slits show stable operating performance. The cooling performance of the two slits has been also shown to be acceptable. In this paper, the detailed explanation for the design of the two slits is presented and their operating performance is discussed.

The Si$_{1-x}$ Gex/Si surface alloy (x = 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5), which are prepared by solid source MBE and have the SiGe epilayer thickness of 50$\AA$, are annealed with different parameters. The surface structure analyses of the heterostructure samples are made on a triple-axis X-ray diffractometer in grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXRD) geometry. It has been found that with different annealing time (1.5h, 18h, 64h) and annealing temperature (550 $^{\circ}C$, 750 $^{\circ}C$), the SiGe epilayer experienced different strain relaxation process, which was deduced from the GIXRD measurements of the in-plane (220) diffraction peak of Si(001) substrate and the relevant (220) surface diffraction of SiGe epilayer. The results show that the stress relieving and the lateral strain relaxation in the SiGe/Si heterostructure can be promoted by correct annealing, which is very helpful for the preparation of SiGe/Si strained superlattice with fine strain crystallization..
