  • This study was undertaken to define the effect of ChungGongGo extract on norepinephrine-induced arterial contraction in rabbit. In order to investigate the effect of ChungGongGo extract on rabbit's contracted vascular ring detached from common carotid artery, vascular ring with intact or damaged endothelium was used for the experiment using organ bath. To analyze the mechanism of ChungGongGo extract-induced relaxation, ChungGongGo extract was infused into contracted vascular ring which had been pretreated by $N{\omega}$-nitro-L-arginine(L-NNA), Methylene blue(MB), and $Ca^{2+}$ was infused into contracted vascular ring induced by NE or KCl after treatment of ChungGongGo in $Ca^{2+}$-free solution. The results were as follows: ChungGongGo extract had an effective relaxation to the contracted vascular ring by NE in 1.0mg/ml and 0mg/ml level. ChungGongGo extract had an effective relaxation to the intact endothelium vascular ring, but when endothelium was removed, vascular ring did not relax. ChungGongGo extract-induced relaxation was inhibited by the pretreatment of L-NNA and MB. Pretreatment of ChungGongGo extract inhibit the contraction by influx of extra-$Ca^{2+}$ in contracted vascular ring induced by NE in $Ca^{2+}$-free solution. As mentioned above, we suggest that ChungGongGo relaxes vascular ring through suppress influx of extra-cellular $Ca^{2+}$ by the action of nitric oxide from endothelium.

  • Purpose: The neural processing of children with overweight/obesity (CWO), may affect their eating behavior. We investigated the visual information processing of CWO under response control condition, by event-related potential (ERP) study, an electrophysiologic study for cognitive mechanism. Methods: Seventeen CWO (mean age: $10.6{\pm}1.9$), and 17 age-matched non-obese children (NOC), participated in the study. Neurocognitive function tests and visual ERP under Go/NoGo conditions, were implemented. Area amplitudes of major ERP components (P1, N1, P2, N2, and P3) from four scalp locations (frontal, central, parietal, and occipital), were analyzed. Results: For Go and NoGo conditions, CWO had significantly greater occipital P1, frontocentral N1, and P2 amplitudes compared with NOC. P2 amplitude was significantly greater in CWO, than in NOC, at the frontal location. N2 amplitude was not significantly different, between CWO and NOC. For CWO and NOC, Go P3 amplitude was highest at the parietal location, and NoGo P3 amplitude was highest at the frontal location. In Go and NoGo conditions, P3 amplitude of CWO was significantly less than in NOC. Conclusion: The greater P1, N1, and P2 suggested hyper-vigilance to visual stimuli of CWO, but the smaller P3 suggested insufficient mental representation of them. Such altered visual processing, may affect the eating behavior of CWO.

  • In this study, Ni nanoparticle supported by graphene oxide (GO) (Ni-GO) is successfully synthesized through hydrothermal synthesis and calcination, and Cr(VI) is extracted from aqueous solution. The morphology and structure of Ni-GO composites are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), trans mission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and XRD confirms the high dispersion of Ni nanoparticle after support by GO. Loading Ni on GO can obviously enhance the stability of Ni-GO composites. It can be calculated from TGA that the mass percentage of Ni is about 60.67 %. The effects of initial pH and reaction time on Cr(VI) removal ability of Ni-GO are investigated. The results indicate that the removal efficiency of Cr(VI) is greater than that of bared GO. Ni-GO shows fast removal capacity for Cr(VI) (<25 min) with high removal efficiency. Dynamic experiments show that the removal process conforms to the quasi-second order model of adsorption, which indicates that the rate control step of the removal process is chemical adsorption. The removal capacity increases with the increase of temperature, indicating that the reaction of Cr(VI) on Ni-GO composites is endothermic and spontaneous. Combined with tests and characterization, the mechanism of Cr(VI) removal by rapidly adsorption on the surface of Ni-GO and reduction by Ni nanoparticle is investigated. The above results show that Ni-GO can be used as a potential remediation agent for Cr(VI)-contaminated groundwater.

  • Various video conferencing and collaboration applications have emerged due to the global epidemic of new viral infections. In addition to real-time video conferencing, video conferencing applications provide features such as chat and file sharing on various platforms. Because various personal information is stored through functions such as chatting, file and screen sharing, these video conferencing applications are the major target of analysis from a digital forensic investigation. In the case of applications that provide cross-platform, the form of stored data is different depending on the platform. Therefore, to utilize data of video conferencing application for forensic investigation, preliminary research on artifacts stored by platform is required. In this paper, we used the video conferencing applications GoToWebinar and GoToMeeting and analyzed the artifacts generated. As a result, we list the main data from a digital forensic investigation. We identify data stored for each platform provided by GoToWebinar and GoToMeeting and organize artifacts that can estimate user behavior. Also, we classify the data that can be acquired according to the role and environment within the video conference.

  • In this study the nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning method with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF) and a completely dispersed solution of graphene oxide (GO) in the mixed solvent of dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone. The $0.4{\mu}m$ pore size microfiltration flat membrane was made by increasing layers of the PVdF/GO composite nanofiber. Also, transmembrane pressure (TMP) was measured in order to evaluate fouling of the PVdF/GO composite membrane which was introduced GO reducing biological fouling with the intrinsic antibacterial characteristics. The permeate experiments were carried out simultaneously for the PVdF/GO and commercialized CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) flat membranes with $0.01m^2$ effective area in the activated sludge solution of MLSS 4,500 mg/L. TMP of PVdF/GO membrane decreased up to 79% lower than that of CPVC for $10L/m^2{\cdot}h$ permeate flux without air supply. Also, for the case of run/stop operational mode, TMP of PVdF/GO membrane decreased up to 69% lower than that of CPVC for $10L/m^2{\cdot}h$.

  • In this study, a mixed matrix membrane was prepared by varying the contents of PEI-GO@ZIF-8 synthesized in PEBAX 2533, and the permeation characteristics of N2 and CO2 were studied. The N2 permeability of the PEBAX/PEIGO@ZIF-8 mixed matrix membrane decreased as the PEI-GO@ZIF-8 content increased, and the CO2 permeability showed different trends depending on the PEI-GO@ZIF-8 content. The CO2 permeability increased in pure PEBAX membrane up to PEBAX/PEI-GO@ZIF-8 0.1 wt%, but decreased at the subsequent content. The PEI-GO@ZIF-8 0.1 wt% mixed matrix membrane had a CO2 permeability of 221.9 Barrer and a CO2/N2 selectivity of 60.0, showing the highest permeation properties with improved CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity among the prepared mixed matrix membrane and we obtained a result that reached the Robeson upper-bound. This is due to the -COOH, -O-, and -OH functional groups of GO and the amine group bonded to PEI, which interact friendly with CO2, and the effect of ZIF-8, which causes gate-opening for CO2 while the fillers are evenly dispersed in PEBAX.

  • In this work, we successfully fabricated graphene oxide (GO) and GO-based PMMA composite fiber and nylon films. Dynamic mechanical and tensile properties of PMMA-GO composite fiber showed that GO is efficient reinforcement for polymer matrices. However, Nylon 6,6-GO composite films showed low reinforcement efficiency in terms of dynamic mechanical and tensile properties due to the colloid instability of GO in formic acid at a low pH level.

  • This paper provides the target observability analysis of time-to-go polynomial guidance law with bearing-only measurement. In this study, a direct approach is used to analyze the target observability. Since the observability condition of a constant-velocity target is given by the function of LOS angle only, the target observability characteristic is determined by substituting the closed form solution of LOS angle to the observability condition directly. The analysis results show that the target observability is depended on the choice of guidance gain, initial intercept condition and guidance command shape. After that this mathematical analysis result is evaluated and demonstrated by number of simulation.

  • Nanocomposites consisting of Sn nanoparticles and graphene oxide (GO) were electrophoretically deposited onto Cu current collectors that was used for anodes in Li ion batteries (LIBs). In order to optimize the electrochemical performance of nanocomposites as an anode material by controlling the oxygen functionality, the GO was subjected to $O_3$ treatment prior to electrophoretic deposition (EPD). During thermal reduction of the GO in the nanocomposites, the Sn nanoparticles were reduced in size, along with the formation of SnO and/or $SnO_2$ at a small fraction, relying on the oxygen functionalities of the GO. The variation in the duration of time for the $O_3$ irradiation resulted in a small change in total oxygen content, but in a significantly different fraction of each functional group in the GO, which influenced the Sn nanoparticle size and the amount of SnO (and/or $SnO_2$). As a result, the EPD films prepared with the GO that possessed the least amount of carboxylic groups (made by treating GO in an $O_3$ environment for 3 h) showed the best performance, when compared with the nanocomposites composed of untreated GO or GO that was $O_3$-treated for a duration of less than 3 h.
