디지털 제조기술 기반의 차체 사이드패널 조립시스템 구현 (Implementation of an Assembly System for Automobile Side Panel Based on Digital Manufacturing Technologies)

  • Nowadays, the increasing global competition forces automobile manufacturer to increase quality and to reduce the cost and time for manufacturing planning. To solve these problems, automobile manufacturers try to apply digital manufacturing technologies. In this paper, a concept of method for planning the digital assembly system is proposed. Based on the requirements of assembly tasks obtained through product analysis, the function and sequence modeling for assembly process is executed using the IDEF0 and UML model. For implementation of digital assembly system, the selected components are modeled by using 3D CAD tools. According to the system configuration strategy, lots of the alternative solutions for the assembly system are generated. Finally, the optimal assembly system is chosen by the evaluation of the alternative solutions with TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. According to proposed procedure, digital laser welding system is implemented in DELMIA.

  • Adaptive mesh refinement scheme is incorporated with the boundary element analysis in order to get accurate solution with relatively fewer unnowns for magnetostatic field analysis. A new andsimple posteriori local error estimate is also presented. The local error is defined as an integraktion over the element of the difference between solutions from quadratic interpolation functions and linear interpolation functions and is used as the criterion for mesh refinement. Case study with a singular point reveals that adaptive meshes are more efficient in accuracy of solutions than uniform meshs generated by dividing al the elements evenly. The adaptive meshes give much better rate of convergence in global errors than the uniform meshes.

  • We study the global asymptotic stability, the character of the semicycles, the periodic nature and oscillation of the positive solutions of the difference equation $x_{n+1}=\frac{p+x_{n-k}}{q+x_n}+\frac{x_{n-k}}{x_n}$, n=0, 1, 2, ${\cdots}$. where p, q ${\in}$ (0, ${\infty}$), q ${\neq}$ 2, k ${\in}$ {1, 2, ${\cdots}$} and the initial values $x_{-k}$, ${\cdots}$, $x_0$ are arbitrary positive real numbers.

  • This paper presents a combinatorial method to compute the solutions of optimization problem. The present hybrid algorithm is the synthesis of an artificial life algorithm and the random tabu search method. The hybrid algorithm is not only faster than the conventional artificial life algorithm, but also gives a more accurate solution. In addition, this algorithm can find all global optimum solutions. And the enhanced artificial life algorithm is applied to optimum design of high-speed, short journal bearings and the usefuless is verified through this example.

  • The purposes of this research are investigating the domestic and foreign situations and presenting methods to be able to raise the competitiveness of the power IT industry. For the analysis of domestic situations, 70 companies related with power IT were surveyed. Thus, the problems the power IT industry is now facing are summarized and solutions for them are also suggested. If these solutions are practiced, the power industry could provide higher quality electricity and belong to the prior group of global power society.

  • This paper proposes a hybrid searching algorithm based on parameter identification for power system load models. Hybrid searching was performed by the combination of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and a complex method, which enhances the convergence of solutions closer to minima and takes advantage of global searching with PSO. In this paper, the load model of interest is composed of a ZIP model and a third-order model for induction motors for stability analysis, and parameter sets are obtained that best-fit the output measurement data using the hybrid search. The origin of the hybrid method is to further apply the complex method as a local search for finding better solutions using the selected particles from the performed PSO procedure.

  • In this paper, we consider the quasilinear elliptic system $\\div(|{\nabla}u|^{p-2}{\nabla}u)=u(a_1u^{m1}+b_1(x)u^m+{\delta}_1v^n),\;\\div(|{\nabla}_v|^{q-2}{\nabla}v)=v(a_2v^{r1}+b_2(x)v^r+{\delta}_2u^s)$, in $\Omega$ where m > $m_1$ > p-2, r > $r_1$ > q-, p, q $\geq$ 2, and ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N$ is a smooth bounded domain. By constructing certain super and subsolutions, we show the existence of positive blow-up solutions and give a global estimate.

저개발국가를 위한 적정기술과 공학설계교육에 관한 고찰 (A Short Review of Appropriate Technology and Engineering Design Education for Underdeveloped Countries)

  • During the past decades, dramatic technology changes affected the life of billions of people around the globe. Although these changes resulted to economic benefits, mostly for the developed countries, the undiscerning development also resulted to many side effects, such as environment pollution, scarce natural resources, global warming, and an increase of the gap between "those who have" and "those who have not", among others. Also, since these developments were based on high technologies, they were not suitable for 90% of the underdeveloped countries. In this review, the possible ways of increasing the quality of life in underdeveloped countries are described, by providing adaptive solutions using appropriate technologies. Some successful applications of appropriate and intermediate technology are introduced, and the need for a new undergraduate education course of engineering design based on appropriate technology is proposed for Korea.

  • In this paper we investigate the boundedness character of the positive solutions of the rational difference equation of the form $$x_{n+1}=\frac{a_0+{{\sum}^k_{j=1}}a_jx_{n-j+1}}{b_0+{{\sum}^k_{j=1}}b_jx_{n-j+1}},\;\;n=0,\;1,...$$ where $k{\in}N,\;and\;a_j,b_j,\;j=0,\;1,...,\;k $, are nonnegative numbers such that $b_0+{{\sum}^k_{j=1}}b_jx_{n-j+1}>0$ for every $n{\in}N{\cup}\{0\}$. In passing we confirm several conjectures recently posed in the paper: E. Camouzis, G. Ladas and E. P. Quinn, On third order rational difference equations(part 6), J. Differ. Equations Appl. 11(8)(2005), 759-777.

  • Nowadays, the increasing global competition forces manufacturing enterprises to apply new technologies such as laser welding to manufacturing of their products. In case of automotive industries, they interest in assembly system for BIW (Body in White) carrying out laser welding. In this paper, the method of implementation for digital laser welding assembly system is proposed. Based on the requirements of assembly tasks obtained through product analysis, process modeling is executed by using the IDEF0 and UML model. For digital assembly system, the selected components are modeled by using 3D CAD tools. According to the system configuration strategy, lots of the alternative solutions for the assembly system of welding side panels are generated. Finally, the optimal laser welding system is chosen by the evaluation of the alternative solutions with TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method.
