The Index of Learning Styles (ILS) instrument based on the Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model was used to determine distribution of learning styles of 125 South Korean business students enrolled in a South Korean institution of higher education. Results show that greater proportion of South Korean business students surveyed in this study prefer sensing over intuitive, visual over verbal, reflective over active, and global over sequential learning styles. The majority of business students have a balanced learning style in all four dimensions of the Felder-Silverman model. Among the students that do not have a balanced learning style, students with sensing, visual, reflective, and global learning styles dominate. Gender difference in learning style preference was not statistically significant for any of the four dimensions.

Three major Asian countries, Korea, China, and Japan, shared 18.3% of global GDP and 14.2% of global trade volume in 2005. When considering this number, cooperation of these three countries is very important. Also, it is needless to say that we need efficient international logistics system in Asia. The key point to realize efficient international logistics system is unit load system utilizing pallets and containers. To build up efficient logistics system among Korea, China, and Japan, we need 'total palletization' with standardized pallets. We may regard 'total palletization' as an 'efficient highway of North-Eastern Asia logistics.' In this study, we will suggest two kinds of effects, which logistics standardization among Korea, China, and Japan will make. One is the effect on economy and trade, and the other is the effect on logistics business and environments.

Purpose - This paper aims to review cold chain management, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, to explore the cold chain process of delivering temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products, and to identify areas for further development. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper, based on literature review and corporate analysis, reviews the development and status of the cold supply chain system, including its important role in the pharmaceutical industry. Results - Logistics in this field requires more stages than are typically needed. Due to the unique characteristics of the market, few companies can provide the services; currently, only few global companies with large networks and high technologies can afford to do so. Expanding pharmaceutical markets to meet global demand will require cold chain development, especially in "pharmerging" markets. Conclusions - Cold chain is a highly sensitive market in terms of products being carried within the chain that itself is a complex system. However, at the same time, it is a niche market with new opportunities. Hence, a sound cold chain infrastructure is needed to satisfy companies, governments, and customers for both commercial and public reasons.

In the last several years, South Korea's shipbuilders have been dominating global shipbuilding. Thus, many global suppliers in the shipbuilding industry, especially German supply companies, are eager to get the Korean major shipbuilders as their customer. This study analyzed the different ways of business behaviours of German and Korean businessmen regarding customer-supplier relations. Furthermore, this paper aims to examine the kinds of challenges the international businessmen are confronted with and how this affects everyday business between German suppliers and Korean customers, using several case examples. Finally, backgrounds of cross-cultural problems and conflicts of German-Korean business relations are identified and explained.

This study analyzes on localization plans to successfully enter ASEAN market more rapidly growing than over-saturated the Asian or North American mobile game markets based on the Vietnamese market. Vietnamese smartphone market is the fastest growing in ASEAN based on its young aged population of average 28.2 year-old and low 3G service charges. Considering one of the most common activities through smartphones is the mobile game, the smartphone demand increase can be forecasted to be based on the growth of Vietnamese game market. Global strategies for exporting products to the global market can be classified into 'standardization' and 'localization'. From among these, Korean game companies are making profits by localization plan. But the Vietnamese mobile game market still has entry barriers. Therefore, this study is to contribute to Korean mobile game companies' localization plans for the Vietnamese market by finding and supplementing limits of the Vietnamese mobile game market based on literatures and statistics materials.

The information technology, in the digital economy era, does a very important role not only for the country's administrative management innovation but also for the business and for the everyday life. Specifically, the e-business for the company or organization is defined as "using the Internet and IT, rescheduling of business process management activities to increase productivity and efficiency and to create new business opportunities." Thanks to the Korea's recent efforts, overall level of informatization and digitalization is able to receive high praise. But the e-business readiness (e-readiness) level is still expected a lot of room for improvement. In this paper, I try to analyze the informatization level of Korea's by the EIU's e-business readiness index and IT industry competitiveness index, to prepare a full-scale e-business era of global competitiveness through any preparation that could do to improve the situation from the analysis of statistical data.

Electrical product safety certification is for public safety. Korea electrical safety certification (KC) is being tested and certified on the base of Korean electrical appliance safety act and KC scheme. There are operating system and Electrical safety standards in the KC scheme. KC' operating system was adapted from japan operating system of Japan certification scheme. But KC certification' electrical safety standard was adapted from IEC standards of IECEE CB scheme. So There are many problems such as difference of version between KC standards and IEC standards, discrepancy between operating system and standards. Therefore, This paper analyzed the reason of discrepancy and proposed the improved KC certification operating system in order to reduce cost and to save time in the procedure of issuing KC approval for public safety in using electrical products and also for global competence.

Air pollution problem has been one of the most urgent global environmental problems since UN Framework Convention on Climate Change accepted in Rio Conference, 1992. International environmental regulations of global community to reduce the green house gases have Influenced the domestic environmental policies. Recently, various policy have been made to cope with foreign environment restrction and active supports for development of related technology have been carried out in our government confrontation strategy still leaves much to be desired. It is noted that the disaster such as fire, explosion, collapse has been rapidly increased caused by strength deterioration of steel structures at petrochemical plant during fire. In this regard, it is stressed out that the legal requirement for fire proofing for steel structures at petrochemical plant should be carefully reviewed since the current legal requirement such as Industrial Safety & Health Law, Architectural Law has a conflict and different way of approach. In addition, it is our point of view that the present law should be revised to consolidate into single law including engineering design criteria to reflect unreasonable legal requirement. It is further our point of view that the performance certificate for fire proofing like UL-1709, basis of maintenance should be appropriately and reasonably provided in line with global practice.
