  • Conventional modal analysis techniques are known to be inappropriate for asymmetrical rotor systems. when the equations of motion are written in the stationary coordinates, due to the presence of time varying parameters. This paper presents a generalized modal analysis method for asymmetrical rotor systems in the stationary coordinates, employing the modulated coordinates and the lambda matrix formulation. A numerical example with a flexible asymmetric rotor model is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modal analysis method. As an application of the proposed method, modal analysis is also performed with an open cracked rotor system.

  • This paper presents a fault detection and isolation(FDI) method based on Generalized Likelihood Ratio(GLR) test for the tightly coupled SDINS/CPS system. The GLR test is known to have the capability of detecting an assumed change while estimating its occurrence time and magnitude, and isolating the changing part. Once a fault is detected even if we don't know if the fault occurrs at either INS or GPS, multi-hypothesized GLR scheme performs the fault isolation between INS and GPS, and find which satellite malfunctions. However, in the INS faulty case, it turned out to fail to accomodate the fault isolation between accelerometer and gyroscope due to the coupling effects and a poor observability of the system. Hence, to isolate the INS fault, it needs to change the attitude of the vehicle resulting in enhancing the degree of observability.

  • The container transportation problem is a kind of generalized pickup and delivery problem(GPDP), and a typical NP-hard problem of which polynomial algorithm has not yet been developed. In this problem, trucks have to transport containers from origins to destinations, while have to satisfy several restrictions such as request time, cargo closing time, driver's break time. In this paper, we present a straightforward heuristic and a user-interactive truck dispatching system which supports decision makers.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 선택적 다중 경로 페이딩 채널에서 필터 뱅크 기반의 직교 주파수 분할 다중 데이터 전송 시스템을 위한 새로운 DFE 등화 기법을 제안하였다. 기존의 OFDM 시스템과 비교하여 제안된 시스템의 복잡도가 증가하지만 비트 오류율에 있어서 나은 성능을 얻을 수 있었다. 시뮬레이션 결과 특히 낮은 SNR 태널 환경에서 제안한 기법이 우수한 성능을 보였다.

Display System Design Based On The Abstraction Hierarchy

  • Plant monitoring algorithm developments seem to be saturated which means that display system to show the results from the algorithm should be the well-defined and interactive tools for operator's diagnosing, controlling, restoring the abnormal plant situations. On the other hand, very little generalized display design concepts and evaluations are available. Events that are unfamiliar to operators and that has not been anticipated by designers may cause great threats to the nuclear power plant system safety operation. The abstraction hierarchy, considered most popular display design methodology but not generalized for nuclear power plant design space, has ken proposed as a representation frame work that can be adopted to design interfaces and supports operators in diagnosing overlooked events that should have been considered to operate plant safely. However most practical plant display systems do not fully stick to this design concept but partially rely on their philosophy from design experiences. Abstraction hierarchy display design concept will be do scribed and the trend of Advanced Control Room(ACR) CRT design will also be presented with the conventional display for the several type of plants. Consequently this complementary material should be of interest to designer and regulators concerned with nuclear power plant.

마찰보상을 통한 서어보제어계의 정밀 안정화 제어 (Precision Stabilization Control of Servo-system by Using Friction Compensation)

  • This paper presents a stabilization control designed to improve position stabilization performance of a position servo-system(turret) mounted on a manuvering platform(vehicle). In the consideration of the motion of the platform, a dynamic model of the stabilization system is derived and shows the viscous and stick-slip friction torques are the major source of stabilization errors. An extended generalized minimum variance control which consists of a feedforward disturbance compensation as well as a pole placement feedback control is suggested to reduce the stabilization errors caused from the friction disturbances. This modeling and control are applied to a small experimental set-up and the experimental results confirm the accuracy of the model and the effectiveness of the suggested control.

A Generalized Multicarrier Communication System - Part II: The T-OFDM System

  • Precoding of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with Walsh Hadamard transform (WHT) is known in the literature. Instead of performing WHT precoding and inverse discrete Fourier transform separately, a product of two matrix can yield a new matrix that can be applied with lower complexity. This resultant transform, T-transform, results in T-OFDM. This paper extends the limited existing work on T-OFDM significantly by presenting detailed account of its computational complexity, a lower complexity receiver design, an expression for PAPR and its cumulative distribution function (cdf), sensitivity of T-OFDM to timing synchronization errors, and novel analytical expressions signal to noise ratio (SNR) for multiple equalization techniques. Simulation results are presented to show significant improvements in PAPR performance, as well improvement in bit error rate (BER) in Rayleigh fading channel. This paper is Part II of a three-paper series on alternative transforms and many of the concepts and result refer to and stem from results in generalized multicarrier communication (GMC) system presented in Part I of this series.

웨이블릿 신경 회로망을 이용한 혼돈 시스템의 일반형 예측 제어기 설계 (Design of Generalized Predictive Controller Using Wavelet Neural Networks for Chaotic Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 혼돈 시스템을 제어하기 위해 웨이블릿 신경 회로망을 예측기로 사용하여 일반형 예측 제어기를 설계하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 방법에서는 웨이블릿 신경 회로망의 각 파라미터에 대한 학습은 예측 오차를 이용한 경사 하강법에 의해 수행되며, 제어 신호는 웨이블릿 신경 회로망의 출력과 기준 신호 사이의 제어 오차를 최소화함으로써 생성된다. 한편, 모의 실험을 통해 본 논문에서 제안한 제어기를 각각 연속 시간 혼돈 시스템인 Doffing 시스템과 이산 시간 혼돈 시스템인 Henon 시스템에 적용하여 제어기의 효율성을 확인하고 아울러 신경 회로망을 이용한 예측 제어의 결과와 비교함으로써 제어기의 우수성을 검증한다

문서기술언어 SGML에 의한 전문 데이터베이스의 구축 (Construction of Full-text Database by SGML)

  • 문서기술언어 SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language, 표준 범용 마크업 언어)과 그 전문 데이터베이스(도표나 화상 포함)에의 적용에 대하여 해설하였다. SGML을 적용한 전문데이터베이스의 구조는 SGML로 작성한 DTD (document type definition)로 표현하고 텍스트자체는 DTD에 따른 범용 마크업을 사용하여 기술한다. 본고에서는 장, 절, 단락 등의 계층구조와 각주, 도표, 화살 등의 비계층 구조로 되어 있는 문서 구조를 어떻게 표현하는가에 대하여 예를 들어 해설하였다. 그러고 SGML의 효과, 전자 출판, 검색 시스템, 하이퍼텍스트, SGML 관련 도구 등에 대해서도 해설하였다.
