  • This study analyzed the tooth brushing behavior and oral health status of foreigner immigrant workers and obtained the following results. Statistical significance based on different general characteristics. Gender, educational background, period of stay, health insurance, medical expense coverage, and whether or not one has friends or regular gatherings were significant traits for frequency, while age, marital status, income, and health insurance were traits for part (p<0.05). Statistical significance (p<0.05) was found in marital status and health insurance for time used to brush teeth, period of stay and whether or not one attends a regular gathering for tooth brushing training, and gender, educational background, period of stay, roommate status, medical expense coverage, and whether or not one attends a regular gathering for supplemental oral product usage. The averages of decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index and community periodontal index of treatment needs (CPITN) for general characteristics were 6.98 and 3.03 respectively, and gender, roommate status, income, health insurance for DMFT index, and gender, age, marital status, educational background, roommate status, income, health insurance for CPITN were statistically significant (p<0.05). Tooth brushing frequency and part showed statistical significance (p<0.05) for DMFT index based on tooth brushing behavior, while tooth brushing part and time used to brush teeth were significant for CPITN. DMFT index was high at 8.34 for '3 times or more' in tooth brushing frequency, while DMFT index was high at 7.91 and CPITN was low at 2.94 for tooth brushing part. '3 minutes or longer' in time used to brush teeth was the lowest in CPITN at 2.88. As a result of analyzing the correlation between tooth brushing behavior and DMFT index, CPITN, tooth brushing frequency and part in DMFT index, and tooth brushing part and time used to brush teeth in CPITN showed significance (p<0.05). Based on the above results, we must promote the significance of brushing teeth and implement continuous training for correct tooth brushing management to enhance the oral health of foreign immigrant workers.

  • This study investigates significant factors in mathematical learning and examines the inter-grade and gender-based differences of elementary students. Five factors that are counted to affect the view of mathematical learning are (1) confidence, (2) utility, (3) aversion, (4) practical ability, and (5) traditional view of mathematical learning. The factor analyses on third graders and sixth graders each illustrate the features of inter-grade factors. The result also indicates that the factors may vary depending on the traits and circumstances of students surveyed. Third graders are more likely to be positive compared to sixth graders in terms of confidence and practical ability, which calls for implementing 'doing mathematics' and reinforcing the method of mathematical learning in the general educational field.

The subjects who had been supported by acquittances have more significant social support index. The quality of life has significant differences in number of admissions, gender and occupation. Also, when the perceived stress of kidney transplantation recipients is lower and social support is higher, the quality of life is higher. The perceived stress has 28.1% increment of quality of life. Adding social support, both of them affect 34.8% increment of quality of life. Conclusion: To decrease the factor to cause the stress of kidney transplantation recipients, it is necessary to have social support networks and to develop plans and programs to increase the quality of life of recipients.

  • Research suggests that medical students frequently experience mental health problems such as stress, burnout, and depression, which may, in turn, affect suicidal ideation and behaviors. Since mental health problems profoundly impact academic achievement and professionalism, it is vital to understand factors influencing students' mental health and identify strategies to provide the necessary support. Some relevant influencing factors range from the personal level, including gender, personality traits, perfectionism, and social support, to the environmental level, including the grading system, educational phases, exposure to patients' death, mistreatment, and culture of medicine. In this regard, a comprehensive mental health support system that encompasses environmental interventions, as well as personal-level support, is needed. Simultaneously, proactive approaches that address the improvement of self-care and alleviation of systemic burdens are essential, together with the predominant reactive approaches focusing on problems and deficits. Altogether, we proposed a framework for enhancing mental health constructed by four categories (personal-reactive, environmental-reactive, personal-proactive, environmental-proactive) based on the intervention level and goal of support. All four categories have important implications, and one cannot replace the other, but expanding environmental-proactive support will allow more students to learn how to pursue health independently. We expect that this comprehensive framework for enhancing mental health could expand support systems for medical students' personal and professional development.

  • At a specific juncture in industrial development, animation emerges as a product imbued with discernible features characteristic of the mechanical replication era. Through the integration of technology, it continually gives rise to postmodern cultural traits. Notably, the trajectories of postmodernism in China and Western Europe exhibit divergence. Following the reform and opening up, both postmodernism and modernism found acceptance and became interwoven. Chinese animated films, influenced by postmodernism, actively challenge traditional animation norms, exemplifying postmodern characteristics such as deconstruction, intertextuality, indeterminacy, collage, and diversity. This article endeavors to delve into the discourse surrounding postmodernism in both Western and Chinese contexts. It aims to scrutinize the manifestation of postmodern features, particularly with regard to ethnic elements, traditional mythological texts, and gender representations in Chinese animated films. Consequently, it becomes imperative to contemplate the affirmative adaptation and independent development of postmodernism within the unique Chinese milieu. Building upon an analysis of noteworthy traditional animated film genres and developmental trends in China, this study focuses on animated films from the 21st century, specifically Monkey King: Hero is Back, Big Fish & Begonia, Dahufa, White Snake and Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. The paper seeks to explore the overarching characteristics of postmodernity reflected in the linguistic environment of postmodernism in China.
