세라이트필름과 폴리에틸렌 필름의 방청효과 및 기계적 물성 비교 (Comparison of Anti-rust Effect and Mechanical Properties of Celite Film and)

  • 세라이트는 내부 공동이 매우 넓어서 그 내부에 다양한 분자성 물질을 저장할 수 있으며, 세라이트 분말은 PE 필름 내부에 잘 분산될 수 있어서 세라이트를 함유한 PE 필름을 제조할 수 있었다. 표면을 계면활성제로 처리하여 극성을 낮춘 세라이트를 함유한 PE 필름 그리고 표면 처리하지 않은 세라이트를 이용한 PE 필름 등 2 가지 필름을 제조하였다. 제조된 필름내부의 세라이트 내부 공동에는 방청물질인 dicyclohexylamine, dicyclohexylamine nitrite 또는 diisopropylamine 등이 스며들게 하여, 포함된 방청분자들이 서서히 외부로 방출되게 함으로서 필름 백 내부에 포장된 철물에 대한 방청효과를 지속적으로 발휘하도록 하였다. 여러가지 밀봉필름 백 내부의 방청물질 농도 변화를 gas chromatography를 이용하여 한 달간 각 필름 백의 방청물질 발산 지속기간을 비교하였고, 실제로 실험실에서 사용되는 철물을 대상으로 6 개월에 걸쳐 방청실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과 세라이트 필름은 일반 PE 필름에 비해 방청효과가 뛰어나며, 방청물질 발산 지속기간이 우수하였다.

  • The influence of ambient gases on field emission performance of Mo-field emitter array(FEA) in the frit-sealing step of field emission display(FED) packaging process was investigated. Mo-tip FEA was mounted on the glass substrate having a surrounded frit(Ferro FX11-137) and fired at $415^{\circ}C$ in the ambient gases of air, $N_2$ and Ar. The Ar gas was proved to be most proper ambient among the used gases through evaluating the turn-on voltage and field emission current of the fired Mo-tip FEA devices. It was confirmed that the Mo surface fired in Ar ambient was less oxidized when compared with another ones annealed in air and Ar ambient by the AFM, XPS, AES and SIMS analysis. Finally, the 3.5 inch-sized Mo-tip FED, which was packaged using frit-sealing process in the Ar ambient, was proposed.

  • 수소연료전지자동차(FCV)의 냉온기동, 가속, 주행성능, 수소연료충전시간, 및 항속거리 등의 기술 항목들은 2015-2020년경의 수요자요구를 충족하는 것으로 보인다. 그러나 짧은 내구성, 높은 가격 및 부족한 수소공급인프라 등은 본격적인 FCV 상용화를 위하여 극복해야 할 과제이다. 가격저감 및 내구성 향상 등 연료전지자동차의 상용화를 위하여 개발되고 있는 기술과제들을 중심으로 수소연료전지자동차의 기술동향을 분석한다.

양송이 버섯의 MAP및 CA저장 효과 (Effect of M.A.P. and C.A. storage on quality of Mushrooms(Agaricus bisporus) during storage)

  • In order to study the effect of modified atmosphere packaging(M.A.P.) and controlled atmosphere(C. A.) storage on keeping freshness of mushrooms (Agricus-bisporus). Mushrooms was packaged with polyethylene(P.E.) film (40${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 60${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and C.A. conditions(CO2 concentration of 2%, O2 concentration of 2%) and storage at 0$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, RH(relative hummidity) 92$\pm$1%. Gas composition in film was changed rapidly at early of storage, but it kept a constant level after 14 days of storage, and then kept at the level of 6~9% CO2 and 2~5% O2. Weight loss was 5% in non-packed mushrooms after 3 days of storage, but P.E. film, CO2 treated, C.A. conditions were 5% after 21 days of storage. Flesh firmness of the mushrooms was continuously decreased throughout storage period and the lowest of flesh firmness changed was 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-P.E. film packing. Discoloration of the piteous of mushrooms appears to be the most Important factors to determine its marketability, L value of it appears to be of the high values at P.E. film packing and C.A. conditions during period. Large amount of ethanol and acetaldehyde were produced from the 7 days during storage, large contents of mannitol and trehalose were at the 14 days and 7 days during storage.

은처리 세라믹과 키틴을 첨가한 LDPE 필름을 이용한 딸기의 저장 (Storage of Strawberries Using Low Density Polyethene Film Filled with Silver-coated Ceramic and/or Chitin)

  • The quality changes of strawberries packaged using low density polyethylene (LDPE) film filled with 3% silver-coated ceramic (WC30) and filled with it and 0.1% chitin (CWC) were investigated during storage at 2$0^{\circ}C$ for 5 days. In gas composition within film bag, CWC and WC30 kept higher CO2 concentration than LDPE without silver-coated ceramic and chitin (CO) did during 5 day storage. The weight loss of strawberries during storage was the smallest in WC30 and the largest in CWC in 5 days. Hardness of strawberries was the highest in WC30 and the lowest in CO during 5 day storage. pH of strwberries was increased a little until 1 day and was not changed after 1 day storage, and soluble solid content was not changed during storage. Vitamin C content was decreased significantly until 2 day storage and decreased a little after 2 days. There is no differences in the change of vitamin C content among the packaging materials. In color measurement, lightness was the highest in WC 30 and in sensory evaluation, all characteristics also had the highest scores in WC30. In conclusion, better quality of straberries was shown in WC30 than in CWC and CO during storage.

마이크로 다공질 폴리머 폼의 UV 레이저 미세가공에 관한 기초 연구 (A Fundamental Study on UV Laser Micro Machining of Micro Porous Polymeric Foams)

  • Recently porous polymer has widely been applied to packaging, heat isolation, and sound absorption in various fields from the electrics to the automobiles industry. A lot of micro porosities inside foamed polymer provide lower heat conduction and lighter weight than non-porous polymer, because they involve gas or air during foaming process. In this paper experimental approaches of the UV laser micro machining behavior for Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) foamed polymer materials, which have different expansion rates, were investigated. From these results, the ablation phenomena were finally observed that the ablation is depended upon stronger photo-chemical than photo-thermal effect. This study will also help us to understand interaction between UV laser beam and porous polymer.

포장용 필름에 따른 풋고추의 저장중 품질 변화 (Plastic Films affect the Storage Quality of Green Chili Pepper)

  • 풋고추를 수확한 다음 신선도를 유지할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 산소와 이산화탄소의 투과도가 서로 다른 LDPE, SM250, CPP 및 MPD의 4가지 포장재를 사용하여 풋고추를 포장한 다음 1$0^{\circ}C$에서 저장하면서 품질특성을 측정하였다. LDPE로 포장한 시험구는 일반적으로 고추의 저장에 적합하다고 알려진 산소 농도 3-5%, 이산화탄소 농도 5% 이하의 공기 조성을 유지하였으며, 무게, ascorbic acid 함량 및 총균수에 있어서도 다른 포장재료에 비하여 우수한 특성을 나타내어 풋고추의 신선도를 유지하는 데에 적합한 플라스틱 포장재로 생각되었다.

국내 대학부속 한방병원 한약 포장팩의 사용 현황 및 효용성 연구 (Investigation of Pre-packed Herbal Medicine in Korean University Oriental Medicine Hospital and their Usefulness)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to know the present uses of pre-packed herbal medicine and their usefulness in Korean University Oriental Medicine Hospitals. Methods We selected 29 university hospitals to survey by using telephone and by mail. Results 1. The kind of packages that 29 hospitals uses were 2 layers, 3 layers and 3 layers with aluminum as the component layer, standing or non-standing pouch. 2. Total 24.1% hospitals are using 3 layers patch with aluminum because of their merits. The merits are preserving the quality of packaged drugs, blocking sun lights and beautiful looking, gas barrier properties and an opening convenience. 3. However, the 3 layers with aluminum packages were little bit more expensive and it can't be used in the microwaves. Conclusions This study revealed that 3 layers with aluminum packages were superior to any other packages because it can keep original flavor and properties, block sun light, and an easy opening convenience. Thus, aluminum contained 3 layer packages are better to preserve herbal medicines.

Characterization of Silica/EVOH Hybrid Coating Materials Prepared by Sol-Gel Method

  • In this study, the silica-based hybrid material with high barrier property was prepared by incorporating ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer, which has been utilized as packaging materials due to its superior gas permeation resistance, during sol-gel process. In preparation of this EVOH/$SiO_2$ hybrid coating materials, the (3-glycidoxy-propyl)-trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) as a silane coupling agent was employed to promote interfacial adhesion between organic and inorganic phases. As confirmed from FT-IR analysis, the physical interaction between two phases was improved due to the increased hydrogen bonding, resulting in homogeneous microstructure with dispersion of nano-sized silica particles. However, depending on the range of content of added silane coupling agent (GPTMS), micro-phase separated microstructure in the hybrid could be observed due to insufficient interfacial attraction or possibility of polymerization reaction of epoxide ring in GPTMS. The oxygen barrier property of the mono-layer coated BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film was examined for the hybrids containing various GPTMS contents. Consequently, it is revealed that GPTMS should be used in an optimum level of content to produce the high barrier EVOH/$SiO_2$ hybrid material with an improved optical transparency and homogeneous phase morphology.

고추의 품질보존에 대한 연구 (A Study on Quality Maintaining of Dried Red Pepper Fruits)

  • This study examined the quality change of red peppers during storage at various temperatures and humidities. It was observed that red peppers showed mold at aw 0.75(>25% water content), discoloration at aw 0.33(<10%) and browning at aw 0.75(>19%). The most ideal condition of the storage for red peppers was a 13∼15% water content and 60${\pm}$5% RH. The storage life for whole red peppers were 2.0 months at 40$^{\circ}C$, 13.6 months at 25$^{\circ}C$, 27.3 months at 15$^{\circ}C$, 30.0 months at 10$^{\circ}C$, and 65.0 months at -3$^{\circ}C$. During any storage period above, level of capsanthin, browning and capsaicin were changed for whole peppers. Browning appeared to be a crucial factor for marketable quality of stored red peppers. It was found that the level of capsaicin & capsanthin have a miner relationship with marketable quality for consumer. Storing red peppers in nitrogen and vacuum atmosphere packing condition was found to be better than storing them in air at various temperatures in terms of storage life and quality maintenance. The nitrogen gas packaged red peppers kept longer shelf life and better quality compared with vacuum packaging.
