  • In this paper, we consider the fuzzy differential equations (equation omitted) where F(t, x(t)) is a continuous fuzzy mapping on [0, $\infty$) ${\times}$ E$\^$n/. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the solution ${\Phi}$(t) of the fuzzy differential equations is equiasymptotically stable in the large and uniformly asymptotically stable in the large.

  • This paper is proposed an adaptive fuzzy bilinear synchronization design for uncertain $L\ddot{u}$ chaos system. It is assumed that the $L\ddot{u}$ chaos system has unknown parameters. First, The $L\ddot{u}$ chaos system can be reconstructed via TS fuzzy bilinear modeling. We design an adaptive fuzzy bilinear synchronization control scheme based on TS fuzzy bilinear $L\ddot{u}$ chaos system with uncertain parameters. Lyapunov theory is employed to guarantee the stability of error dynamic system between TS fuzzy bilinear $L\ddot{u}$ chaos system and the proposed slave system and to derive the adaptive laws for estimating unknown parameters. Simulation results is given to demonstrate the validity of our proposed synchronization scheme.

  • Stability issues of linear Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy modles are thoroughly investigated. At first, a systematic way of searching for a common symmetric positive definite P matrix (common P matrix in short), which is related to stability, is proposed for N subsystems which are under a pairwise commutativity assumption. Robustness issue under modeling uncertainty in each subsystem is then considered by proposing a quadratic stability criterion and a method of determining uncertainty bounds. Finally, it is shown that the pairwise commutative assumption can be in fact relaxed by interpreting the uncertainties as mismatch parts of non-commutative system matrices. Several examples show the validity of the proposed methods.

  • The VDC(Vehicle Dynamic Control) is a control system whose target is to improve stability of a vehicle under lateral motion. A lateral vehicle motion, especially on a slippery road, can lead to a hazardous situation, and the situation can even worsen by the driver`s inappropriate response. In this paper, two VDC systems, a fuzzy-based controller and an LQR-based controller have been developed. The controllers take as input the yaw rate and the sideslip angle of either body or rear wheel, and they yield the direct yaw moment signal by which the vehicle can gain stability during cornering. Simulations have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the control system. The results indicated that the controllers can successfully improve vehicle stability under potentially dangerous driving conditions.

  • This paper focuses on the modeling and intelligent control of the new Eight-Rotor MAV, which is used to solve the problem of the low coefficient proportion between lift and gravity for the Quadrotor MAV. The Eight-Rotor MAV is a nonlinear plant, so that it is difficult to obtain stable control, due to uncertainties. The purpose of this paper is to propose a robust, stable attitude control strategy for the Eight-Rotor MAV, to accommodate system uncertainties, variations, and external disturbances. First, an interval type-II fuzzy neural network is employed to approximate the nonlinearity function and uncertainty functions in the dynamic model of the Eight-Rotor MAV. Then, the parameters of the interval type-II fuzzy neural network and gain of sliding mode control can be tuned on-line by adaptive laws based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach, and the Lyapunov stability theorem has been used to testify the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system. The validity of the proposed control method has been verified in the Eight-Rotor MAV through real-time experiments. The experimental results show that the performance of the interval type-II fuzzy neural network based adaptive sliding mode controller could guarantee the Eight-Rotor MAV control system good performances under uncertainties, variations, and external disturbances. This controller is significantly improved, compared with the conventional adaptive sliding mode controller, and the type-I fuzzy neural network based sliding mode controller.

  • This paper investigates a robust neuro-fuzzy control (NFC) method which can accurately follow the speed reference of an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) in the existence of nonlinearities and system uncertainties. A neuro-fuzzy control term is proposed to estimate these nonlinear and uncertain factors, therefore, this difficulty is completely solved. To make the global stability analysis simple and systematic, the time derivative of the quadratic Lyapunov function is selected as the cost function to be minimized. Moreover, the design procedure of the online self-tuning algorithm is comparatively simplified to reduce a computational burden of the NFC. Next, a rotor angular acceleration is obtained through the disturbance observer. The proposed observer-based NFC strategy can achieve better control performance (i.e., less steady-state error, less sensitivity) than the feedback linearization control method even when there exist some uncertainties in the electrical and mechanical parameters. Finally, the validity of the proposed neuro-fuzzy speed controller is confirmed through simulation and experimental studies on a prototype IPMSM drive system with a TMS320F28335 DSP.

  • This paper proposes the fuzzy modeling and robust stability analysis of wind farm based on prediction model for wind speed. Owing to the sensitivity of wind speed, it is necessary to study the dynamic equation of the variable speed wind turbine. In this paper, based on the least-square method, the wind speed prediction model which is varied by the surrounding environment is proposed so that it is possible to evaluate the practicability of our model. And, we propose the composition of intelligent wind farm and use the fuzzy model which is suitable for the design of fuzzy controller. Finally, simulation results for wind farm which is modeled mathematically are demonstrated to visualize the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • A new intelligent adaptive control scheme was proposed that combines the control based on interference observer and fuzzy adaptive s-curve for flight path tracking control of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The most important contribution is that the control configurations don't need to know the uncertainty limit of the vehicle and the influence of interference is removed. The proposed control law is an integration of fuzzy control estimator and adaptive proportional integral (PI) compensator with input. The rated feedback drive specifies the desired dynamic properties of the closed control loop based on the known properties of the preferred acceleration vector. At the same time, the adaptive PI control compensate for the unknown of perturbation. Additional terms such as s-surface control can ensure rapid convergence due to the non-linear representation on the surface and also improve the stability. In addition, the observer improves the robustness of the adaptive fuzzy system. It has been proven that the stability of the regulatory system can be ensured according to linear matrix equality based Lyapunov's theory. In summary, the numerical simulation results show the efficiency and the feasibility by the use of the robust control methodology.

  • With reasonable control selections on the space of functions, various application models can take the shape of a well-defined control system on mathematics. In the credibility space, controlability management of fuzzy differential equation is as much important issue as stability. This paper addresses exact controllability for fuzzy differential equations in the credibility space in the perspective of Liu process. This is an extension of the controllability results of Park et al. (Controllability for the semilinear fuzzy integro-differential equations with nonlocal conditions) to fuzzy differential equations driven by Liu process.

  • In this paper, we proposed an intelligent digital redesign method for a class of fuzzy-model-based controllers, effective fur stabilization of continuous-time nonlinear systems. The TS fuzzy model is used to expend the results of the digital redesign technique to nonlinear systems. The proposed method utilized the recently developed LMI technique to obtain a digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. The intelligent digital redesign problem is converted to equivalent problem, and the LMI method is used to find the digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. The stabilization conditions of TS fuzzy model are derived for stabilization in the sense of Laypunov stability. In order to demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed controller design methodology, we applied this method to the single link flexible-joint robot arm.
