Entropy and Similarity Measure of Interval-valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

  • In this paper, we introduce concepts of entropy and similarity measure of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs), discuss their relationship between similarity measure and entropy of IVIFSs, show that similarity measure and entropy of IVIFSs can be transformed by each other based on their axiomatic definitions and give some formulas to calculate entropy and similarity measure of IVIFSs.

Noise-tolerant Image Restoration with Similarity-learned Fuzzy Association Memory

  • 본 논문에서는 이미지 복원에 사용되는 기존의 FAM (Fuzzy Associative Memory)에 유사성 학습을 채택하여 개선된 FAM을 제안한다. 이미지 복원은 노이즈가 존재하는 버전에서 원 이미지에 가깝게 복원하는 것을 의미한다. 얼굴 인식과 같은 중요한 적용 문제에서 이 프로세스는 잡음에 강하고 견고하며 빠르며 확장 가능해야한다. 기존의 FAM 은 강력한 퍼지 제어를 통하여 도메인에 적용 할 수 있지만 실제 응용 프로그램에서는 용량 문제가 있지만 단순한 단일 계층 신경망이다. 유사성 측정은 복구 된 이미지와 원본 이미지 사이의 제곱 평균 오차를 최소화하기 위해 FAM 구조의 연결 강도와 관련이 있다. 제안된 알고리즘의 효과는 실험에서 랜덤 노이즈로 인한 오류 크기가 현저히 낮아지는 것을 확인하였다.

  • We have designed a multiple-valued fuzzy Approximate Analogical-Reseaning system (AARS). The system uses a similarity measure of fuzzy sets and a threshold of similarity ST to determine whether a rule should be fired, with a Modification Function inferred from the Similarity Measure to deduce a consequent. Multiple-valued basic fuzzy blocks are used to construct the system. A description of the system is presented to illustrate the operation of the schema. The results of simulations show that the system can perform about 3.5 x 106 inferences per second. Finally, we compare the system with Yamakawa's chip which is based on the Compositional Rule of Inference (CRI) with Mamdani's implication.

퍼지 유사 척도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fuzzy Similarity Measure)

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 유사 척도가 제시된다. 제시된 퍼지 유사 척도는 유사도를 결정하기 위해서 유크라디안 거리와 함께 데이터와 클러스터 대표값들 사이의 상대적 거리를 고려한다. 클러스터의 경계선은 경쟁이 심한 곳에서는 축소되며 경쟁이 심하지 않은 곳에서는 확장된다. 본 논문의 결과는 상대적 거리를 유사 척도로 사용하는 가능성을 보인다.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy set based machine-cell formation algorithm for cellular manufacturing is presented. The fuzzy logic is emoloyed to express the degree of appropriateness when alternative machines are specified to process a part shape. For machine grouping, the similarity coefficient based approach is used. The algorithm produces efficient machine cells and part families which maximize the similarity values.

  • Dealing with uncertainty is always a challenging problem. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets was presented to manage situations in which experts have some membership and non-membership value to assess an alternative. Hesitant fuzzy sets was used to handle such situations in which experts hesitate between several possible membership values to assess an alternative. In this paper, the concept of intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set is introduced to provide computational basis to manage the situations in which experts assess an alternative in possible membership values and non-membership values. Distance measure is defined between any two intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy elements. Fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution is developed for intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set to solve multi-criteria decision making problem in group decision environment. An example is given to illustrate this technique.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis of Winding Short in BLDC Motors Based on Fuzzy Similarity

  • The turn-to-turn short is one major fault of the motor faults of BLDC motors and can appear frequently. When the fault happens, the motor can be operated without breakdown, but it is necessary to maintain the motor for continuous working. In past research, several methods have been applied to detect winding faults. The representative approaches have been focusing on current signals, which can give important information to extract features and to detect faults. In this study, current sensors were installed to measure signals for fault detection of BLDC motors. In this study, the Park's vector method was used to extract the features and to isolate the faults from the current measured by sensors. Because this method can consider the three-phase current values, it is useful to detect features from one-phase and three-phase faults. After extracting two-dimensional features, the final feature was generated by using the two-dimensional values using the distance equation. The values were used in fuzzy similarity to isolate the faults. Fuzzy similarity is an available tool to diagnose the fault without model generation and the fault was converted to the percentage value that can be considered as possibility of the fault.

상대적 소수 함수에 기반을 둔 새로운 유사성 측도와 언어 근사에의 응용 (A New Similarity Measure based on RMF and It s Application to Linguistic Approximation)

  • 상대적 소속 함수(RMF)에 기반을 둔 새로운 유사성 측도를 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 RMF는 퍼지 부분 집합간의 상대성을 쉽게 나타내기 위해 제시되었다. 이러한 RMF의 형태는 매개변수값들에 따라 결정되기 때문에 매개변수 값들만을 조정해 줌으로써 퍼지 부분 집합간의 상대성을 쉽게 나타낼 수 있다. 그러므로 퍼지 부분 집합을 이용해 주관성을 표현할 때 개인이나 문화차이간의 상대성을 쉽게 반영해 줄수 있다. 이 경우이들 매개변수들은 퍼비 부분 집합의 구조를 결정해 주는 특징점들이라고 할수 있다. 결과적으로 퍼지 부분 집합간의 유사성 정도가 RMF의 매개변수들을 이용해서 빠르게 계산될 수 있다. RMF에 의해 퍼지 부분 집합간의 유사성 정도를 계산하기 위해 유클리디안 거리를 사용한다. 한편, 제안된 유사성 측도의 응용 분야로 새로운 언어 근사 방법을 제시하고 수치적인 예를 보여준다.

Using Fuzzy Rating Information for Collaborative Filtering-based Recommender Systems

  • These days people are overwhelmed by information on the Internet thus searching for useful information becomes burdensome, often failing to acquire some in a reasonable time. Recommender systems are indispensable to fulfill such user needs through many practical commercial sites. This study proposes a novel similarity measure for user-based collaborative filtering which is a most popular technique for recommender systems. Compared to existing similarity measures, the main advantages of the suggested measure are that it takes all the ratings given by users into account for computing similarity, thus relieving the inherent data sparsity problem and that it reflects the uncertainty or vagueness of user ratings through fuzzy logic. Performance of the proposed measure is examined by conducting extensive experiments. It is found that it demonstrates superiority over previous relevant measures in terms of major quality metrics.

구간 결정값을 갖는 의사결정시스템의 양방향 퍼지 추론망 (A bidirectional fuzy inference network for interval valued decision making systems)

  • In this work, we proesent a bidirectional approximate reasoning method and fuzzy inference network for interval valued decision making systems. For this, we propose a new type of similarity measure between two fuzzy vectors based on the Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operator. Since the proposed similarity measure has a structure to give the extreme values by choosing a suitable weighting vector of the OWA operator, it can render an interval valued similarity value. From this property, we derive a bidirectional approximate reasoning method based on the similarity measure and show its fuzzy inference network implementation for the decision making systems requiring the interval valued decisions.
