  • Recently, the modular network was proposed in a way to keep the size of the neural network small. The modular network solves the problem by splitting it into sub-problems. In this aspect, fuzzy systems act in a similar way. However, in a fuzzy system, there must be an expert rule which separates the input space. To overcome this, fuzzy-neural network has been used. However, the number of fuzzy rules grows exponentially as the number of input variables grow. In this paper, we would like to solve the size problem of neural networks using modular network with the hierarchic structure. In the hierarchic structure, the output of precedent module affects only the THEN part of the rule. Finally, the rules become shorter being compared to the rule of fuzzy-neural system. Also, the relations between input and output could be understood more easily in the Proposed modular network and that makes design easier.

  • To solve the frequency variation of speech patterns which consist of LPC sequences, new membership function view from LPC, spectrum and the relations between the order of LPC and spectrum is proposed. To solve the time variation, multi-secation equi-segmentation method which equally divide the speech section into several section are applied. False recognition mainly occur at time when the same syllable is placed at the same utterance. To reduce the error, fuzzy inference is executed using the proposed membership function and weights are assigned into sectional certainty and then the decision method for recognized the section up to the third candidate. To testify the validation of this method, we experimented the recognition test of 28 DDD area names. The recognition rate of the fuzzy inference by the triangle membership function is $92\%$. That of the combined method of the fuzzy inference and the dicision method is $92.9\%$ and that of fuzzy inference by the proposed membership funtion is $93.8\%$.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the weights of obstacle factors against mutual access of towed trailers of car-ferry between South Korea and China using Fuzzy-AHP. To this end, factors were first selected through literature research and finally selected through in-depth interviews with a group of experts in cargoes who are currently in car-ferry companies. Selected high rank obstacle factors included unstable service provision, limited policy support, and additional costs being incurred and among them, unstable service provision was identified as the most serious obstacle factor through analysis. Eleven measurement variables selected include insufficient supply of container yard, trailer insurance and management issues, insufficient special equipment, insufficient specialized manpower, limited input service courses, insufficient marketing and public relations strategies, and increasing transportation costs and among them, increasing equipment returning costs due to unbalanced cargo gathering were identified as the most serious obstacle factor through analysis followed by limited input service courses, insufficient special equipment, delays in procedures, and occurrence of additional procedures in order of precedence.

  • This paper describes a heuristic search technique carrying out collision avoidance for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles(AUVs). Fuzzy relational products are used as the mathematical implement for the analysis and synthesis of relations between obstacles that are met in the navigation environment and available candidate nodes. In this paper, we propose a more effective evaluation function that reflects the heuristic information of domain experts on obstacle clearance, and an advanced heuristic search method performing collision avoidance for AUVs. The search technique adopts fuzzy relational products to conduct path-planning of intelligent navigation system. In order to verify the performance of proposed heuristic search, it is compared with $A^*$ search method through simulation in view of the CPU time, the optimization of path and the amount of memory usage.

  • Soft set theory by Molodtsov is applied to ideals in BCC-algebras. The notion of soft BCC-ideals of soft BCC-algebras and idealistic soft BCC-algebras are introduced, and several examples are provided. Relations between a fuzzy BCC-ideal and an idealistic soft BCC-algebra are given, and the characterization of idealistic soft BCC-algebras is established.

  • In this paper, we suggested an evaluation model for satisfaction of e-Learning. This model was composed decision of evaluation criteria, analysis of consciousness structure for evaluation factors using the Fuzzy Structural Modeling method, decision of weights for evaluation factors considering intersectional dependence relations and evaluation of satisfaction of e-Learning. The case study of this model was done for comparative analysis between teachers and students of e-Learning in high school.

  • Category F Rel of fuzzy sets and relations does not form a topos. J. Harding, C. Walker and E. Walker [3] showed that FRel has a tensor product and V. Durov [1] introduced basic definitions related to the notion of vectoid endowed with a tensor product. In this paper, we show that FRel forms a quasi topos. Also we show that there are quasi power objects in FRel. And by the use of the concepts of FRel and quasi topos, we get the logic operators of FRel. Moreover, we show that FRel forms a vectoid.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notions of (dual) residuated frames for a fuzzy logic as an extension of residuated frames for classical relational semantics. We investigate the relations between residuated connections and residuated frames on Alexandrov topologies based on [0, ∞]. Moreover, we study their properties and give their examples.

  • In this paper, we will define comonotonically additive interval-valued functionals which are generalized comonotonically additive real-valued functionals in Shcmeildler[14] and Narukawa[12], and study some properties of them. And we also investigate some relations between comonotonically additive interval-valued functionals and interval-valued Choquet integrals on a suitable function space cf.[19,10,11,13].
