  • The general aim of this article is to explicate what can be researched in our field based on the new understanding on the ability of human visual intelligence. To follow this aim, three key discussions were followed. The first is to explain why the human visual intelligence research is so important in our field and how it was neglected. The basic orientations of the research questions used in its framing and in answering are reviewed. After reviewing traditional research orientations, as the second discussion, alternative, more useful perspective for thinking about human visual intelligence is suggested. And the possibility of contribution for the future research in general is discussed. In doing so, human visual intelligence was defined in rather practically oriented ways rather than theoretically oriented ones. More practical perspectives were suggested. The third discussion is to show how to use the alternative perspectives of human visual intelligence in the areas of educational technology research. It was hoped that the article lays out conceptual groundwork for generation of educational technology research frameworks which can be used for the research conduct, reproduction and sharing by adopting practically oriented views on human visual intelligence as a new territory of educational technology research.

  • It is important that ubiquitous technology changes paradigm of thought, not simple definition in the 21st digital era. Characteristics of ubiquitous computing are pervasive, disappearing, invisible, calm through environment. As IT Technology develops, designers, computer scientists, chemists, performance artists cooperate in order to find out the best way to make desirable digital clothing in the future, with the merit of each part. Digital clothing defines clothes of new generation equipped computer, digital installations. Digital clothing design demands intercept of electromagnetic waves, light-weight and esthetic appearance, for it is attached high-technology equipment near body. The purpose of this study is to analyze design features of digital clothing according to ubiquitous characteristics. The methods of this study are documentary research of previous study and case study. In the theoretical study, ubiquitous characteristics are function-intensive by convergence, interactivity, embedded mobility and human & emotion-oriented attributes. Based on ubiquitous characteristics, digital clothing design classified function-intensive design by convergence, design for Interactivity and multi-sensible & emotion-oriented design, because embedded mobility is a basic element of ubiquitous environment. The early days digital clothing design is function-intensive design, and have esthetic appearances and design for interactivity increasingly. Recently digital clothing design is expressed multi-sensible and emotion-oriented design.

Convergence design in digital stage can be defined as a social phenomenon which different function of product move toward one direction for greater efficiency. Slow fashion is based on the Slow Movement. (This is a movement with similar principles to the Slow Food Movement, as it promotes an alternative mass production, such as fast fashion.) The aims of this research are to study slow fashion that has appeared in the fashion industry through various approaches for convergence designs, and to find the possibility of use for slow fashion. The research method consisted of carrying out case studies and analyzing literatures and proceeding cases. The characteristics of convergence designs are classified into technical convergence, emotion-oriented convergence and complex convergence. Technical convergence has an effect on slow fashion as a multi-functional design. Second, emotion-oriented convergence affects social-cultural design. Slow fashion related to a complex convergence design reveals emotion-oriented deign. Slow fashion is related to convergence design is to expect contribute to provide a good source for the future fashion industry and fashion market.

  • In this study, we introduce trends in neural-network-based deep learning research applied to dialogue systems. Recently, end-to-end trainable goal-oriented dialogue systems using long short-term memory, sequence-to-sequence models, among others, have been studied to overcome the difficulties of domain adaptation and error recognition and recovery in traditional pipeline goal-oriented dialogue systems. In addition, some research has been conducted on applying reinforcement learning to end-to-end trainable goal-oriented dialogue systems to learn dialogue strategies that do not appear in training corpora. Recent neural network models for end-to-end trainable chit-chat systems have been improved using dialogue context as well as personal and topic information to produce a more natural human conversation. Unlike previous studies that have applied different approaches to goal-oriented dialogue systems and chit-chat systems respectively, recent studies have attempted to apply end-to-end trainable approaches based on deep neural networks in common to them. Acquiring dialogue corpora for training is now necessary. Therefore, future research will focus on easily and cheaply acquiring dialogue corpora and training with small annotated dialogue corpora and/or large raw dialogues.
