Tourism is a sector that plays an important role in the economic growth of Indonesia. Bandung as the capital of West Java province is known as the city with diverse tourism potential, both in the attractiveness of the city and surrounding natural beauty. DHR is a three stars resort hotel in the city with a strategic location. As a three stars resort hotel, DHR has been experiencing occupancy rate problems, consequently, it cannot often reach the set targets, both during high season and low season. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of hotel performance that influences consumer staying back decision in the future. Questionnaires have been distributed to hotel guests to gather information regarding their interest and the performance assessment of the hotel services and facilities, and staying back decision in the future. Discriminant Analysis and Hypothesis Testing are used to determine which hotel performance variables will directly affect consumer staying back decision. The result of this study provide marketing strategy that should be implemented by the hotel management in order to increase its occupancy rate.

We consider an insured who wishes to determine his optimal reporting strategy over a given planning horizon, when he has option of reporting of not reporting his at-fault accidents. Assuming that the premium in future period is continually adjusted by the insured's loss experience, the insured would not report every loss incurred. Rather, considering the benefits and costs of each decision, the insured may want to seek a way of optimizing his interests over the planning horizon. The situation is modeled as a dynamic programming problem. We consider an insured's discounted expected cost minimization problem, where the premium increase in future period is affected by the size of the current claim. More specifically, we examine two cases ; (1) the premium increase in the next is a linear function (a constant fraction) of the current claim size; (2) the premium increase in the next period is a concave function of the current claim size. In each case, we derive the insured's optimal reporting strategy.

This research proposes the use of a patent analysis methodology that can suggest promising technology in the ICT sector at the micro-level. This approach identifies core patents from the technology field, groups them as research frontiers (RFs), and develops a visualized network based on the citing relationships to monitor the relationship among RFs. In addition, it calculates a "promising index" based on the growth potential, impact, and marketability of patents to ultimately derive promising RFs. To illustrate the proposed approach, this research presents analysis results for a chosen area, which is the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) technology field. By proposing promising technological fields at the micro-level, the proposed methodology will serve as a useful decision-making support tool in selecting R&D projects, technology planning, and determining technology policy direction.
This study develops a framework and instruments to diagnose the current knowledge management(KM) status of an organization and to suggest future KM implementation directions. Based on the comprehensive review of KM literature and KM case studies, we derive three main aspects(strategic, social and technical aspect) and seven critical factors(KM strategy, knowledge worker, organizational strucuture, organizational culture, KM processe, organizational knowledge, and information technology) for the successful KM implementation. The instruments developed in this study include every specific measurement items of each critical success factor, which are expected to help not only suggest a context-sensitive KM strategy but also evaluate current KM status of a designated organization. By introducing two dimensions of KM evaluation(effectiveness and necessity), a more holistic and contingent view of KM can be assured. Academic contributions as well as practical implications are discussed. Study limitations and future research directions are also provided.
Using the Sunflower movement as a case study, this article seeks to articulate a theoretical framework to evaluate online "free spaces" as tools for political mobilization. To this end, this article conducts a thematic and content analysis of 151 posts on the official Facebook page of the Sunflower movement. Key results uncover four thematic functions among posts - expressive, informative, informative-support, and promotional - that overlap, in which the expressive theme prevails, and two thematic topics discussed by posts - damages by protesters and their ideology of freedom. I conclude that: (1) combining the logistic and thematic dimensions of posts enables a specific understanding of an online free space's political viability and anticipates the campaigns it will connect itself to; (2) the networked nature of the Sunflower movement page prompts the reconceptualization of (i) online free spaces as nodes through which various political campaigns and struggles are thematically connected by a political ideology; (ii) inactivity as a strategy where protest capital and followers accumulate to prepare and empower future mobilizations.
In this paper, we introduce ETRI AI Strategy #3, "Leading Future Technologies of Network, Media, and Content." Its first goal is "to innovate AI service technology to overcome the current limitations of AI technologies." Artificial intelligence (AI) services, such as self-driving cars and robots, are combinations of computing, network, AI algorithms, and other technologies. To develop AI services, we need to develop different types of network, media coding, and content creation technologies. Moreover, AI technologies are adopted in ICT technologies. Self-planning and self-managing networks and automatic content creation technologies using AI are being developed. This paper introduces the two directions of ETRI's ICT technology development plan for AI: ICT for AI and ICT by AI. The area of ICT for AI has only recently begun to develop. ETRI, the ICT leader, hopes to have opportunities for leadership in the second wave of AI services.
This paper investigates the interaction among the paradigm of Low-Carbon Society (LCS) and the megatrends in field of population, environment, geopolitics, and energy. The paradigm of LCS is regarded as a 'social will' trend, distinguished from other 'phenomenal' trends. The qualitative analysis shows that the megatrends and the LCS paradigm have positive/neutral/negative impacts on one another, while some impacts can be reversed to other types of impact with the conditions having ripened. In quantitative analysis, the correlation between the LCS paradigm and the economy is traced with our Integrated Assessment Model, looking into such response options as population control, increase in labor force participation, and productivity enhancement to maintain utility level despite the pursuit of LCS paradigm. The future challenges in national strategy and S&T policy are suggested, based on the interaction analyses.

Experts are concerned about the lack of troops and security vacuum due to the low birth rate in the Republic of Korea. They consider policies to expand the proportion and role of female soldiers to address these issues. In this regard, We would like to introduce the successful use of female personnel in the Ukrainian military and draw implications for the Korean military. This will provide a clue to offset the shortage of troops in the Republic of Korea.
The Purpose of this study is to analyze the green design strategies in residential building, based on case study of Solar Decathlon in USA. This study could provide the basic reference data and theocratical foundation for finding new green design strategies and applicability of green design for korea. The Solar Decathlon is an green design competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate the green residential building with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. As a result of the analysis of this study, the green design strategy is identified and analyzed design issues related in energy, materials, and indoor/outdoor environment. Also, it is useful to find best green design strategy with more economical and environmental benefits presented by renewable energy and design solutions. This study is based on selected 18 green housings of Solar Decathlon from 2002 to 2013. This result is helpful to understand the green design strategies for green residential building's design of modern residential building, and expect future green residential building design approach.
Due to rise in a more sophisticated consumer and free distribution of foreign goods domestic department stores have been confronted with the need to change marketing strategy. The VMD strategy has become increasingly important as the means in reaching the contemporary consumer who has been sensitized to a visual style of marketing strategy. The use of VMD organizational elements have enabled us to create basic planning data that more accurately reflect our current marketplace trends,. The positive influence and supporting role of visual merchandiser is needed more than ever and will be an important part of future profit and customer satisfaction regardless of whether the customer is driven from image buying values and product-quality issues.
