  • Application of Blast Furnace Slag Powder in concrete as brisk in the world, and study in it is progressing in korea at most recent. When use Blast Furnace Slag Powder to concrete, there are profits that is minigation of hydration heat, increase late strength, increase of chemical resistancy, and superior effect on mobility because of powder single phase is over 4000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g blain is known to experience.

  • Recently, the use of the underwater concrete constructions with the antiwashout underwater concrete is increasing. In this study, we investigate the properties of pH, suspended solids, slump flow, box test, air contents of fresh antiwashout underwater concrete and the Unit weight, compressive strength of hardened antiwashout underwater concrete which Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag contents 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 60% at 7days and 28days age which is produced and cured in the water and sea water. As a result, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag contents 30% was excellent.

  • Circulating fluided bed(CFB) furnace which can use a variety of low-grade fuels because of high heat capacity and good mixing characteristic in its furnace have turned out to be effective system. There is no many research to predict performance considering total boiler system with water-steam side. Most of performance prediction model have focused on hydrodynamics or chemical mechanism in furnace. so, This study is aimed to develop performance prediction model which consider water-steam side.

  • The secondary air injection influences the flow of the combustion gas in the furnace. Therefore, the analysis of the furnace should be careful in the selection of the turbulent model with CFD. In this study, CFD results of several turbulent models were compared with experimental results. Analysis results suggest to select turbulent models in the furnace secondary air nozzle.

  • Silica bricks had been in arc-furnace roofs of various sizes and steelmaking practices. The resulting materials were examined with reference to mineral and chemical changes. Silica bricks develope definite zones while in service. These zones represent a concentration gradient through the brick that results from the thermal gradient across the brick and from the furnace atmosphere. There are major brick losses by spalling as well as by melting of the hot-face surface in an iron-oxide rich liquid.

  • This study was performed to verify the effect of workability in construction site using by high strength concrete with granulated blast furnace slag. For the satisfaction of the target strength, the optimized mixing ratio was drawn from the replacement ratio of granulated blast furnace slag and fly-ash. Results from the experiment and the application showed the outstanding quality of concrete and the effects of cost-down.

  • In this paper, image processing technologies was employed to monitor and visualize the conditions of the inside of furnace for glass. In order to capture the images of the furnace under the high temperature environment, specially designed camera system was used. From the experimental results we see that the developed software showed good information about the inside conditions such as a scum line and positions of bubbles.

  • Steel making using EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) consists of three major processes: molten steel making, slab casting and hot rolling. Orders from customers, which includes their requirements such as composition, order quantity with allowable range, width, thichness, and unit weight of coils etc, are grouped as charges for EAF to enhance the productivity of the furnace. This paper develops an efficient grouping algorithm for charges in the EAF by exploiting the order characteristics: the allowable ranges of furnace capacity, order quantity, and unit weight of coils. Numerical test shows that the proposed heuristic works very efficiently and the results are quite satisfactory.

  • In Our Country, the fire safety design is done by the standard furnace fire test. This is haphazard procedure, as the standard furnace fire endurance of structural elements has little relation to the structural element endurance in an actual Compartment fire. The standard furnace fire test results, though obtained at great cost, do not contribute to the understanding of the behavior of structural elements in an elevated temperature environment and can not be applied rationally in fire safety design. The response of a steel and reinforced concrete structure in fire is a very complex problem. Therefore, in this paper is explained about tendency of study for fire safety design in advanced nations.
