Film insert melding is one of the surface processes that enhances functional or aesthetic qualities of an existing product's surface. In general, film insert molding consists of three processes including thermoforming, trimming and injection molding. Thermoforming, which is the first process of film insert molding, is the most important process because the variation of film thickness has an effect on the mold design and process conditions for the subsequent processes, that are, trimming and injection molding. This study is focused on predicting the film thickness distribution through film insert thermoforming process using commercial FEM code. In order to describe rheological behavior of thermoplastic film (ABS), G'Sell's viscoelastic constitutive law was adopted. The numerical model of film insert thermoforming was established, and the simulation to predict film thickness distribution was performed. Comparison between the results of simulation and experiment was made to validate the proposed finite element analysis.
Weight loss of fear packed with corrugated paperboard box(FC) laminated with functional MA film after 60 days storage at 5$^{\circ}C$ was 1.0%, and that of LDPE, CE film was 0.6-0.7%, while that of control(Corrugated Paperboard box) was 2.8%. Total ascorbic acid content of pear ill MA films and FC package was higher than that of control. Titratable acid of control changed 37%, but that of the others packages changed below 27%. Soluble solid content of control changed 27%, while the others changed below 2%. Reference in overall appearence of pear were not found among packaging methods. Corrugated paperboard box(FC) laminated with Functional MA film can be used as packaging material for pear packaging.

We developed that the film fibers which was vacuum-metalized silver on the PET film played a part increasing durable on the alkali, antibiotic and another functional property. For this usage, PET film fibers with fine denier vacuum-metalized silver manufactured through changing the micro slitting machine's drive process.
Apples are one of the most produced fruits in Korea, with 2,423,000 tons of fruits produced in Korea in 2018, of which 365,000 tons (MAF, 2018) account for about 15% of the total production. For quality safety after harvesting apples, the application of MA(modified atmosphere) packaging technology (Mostofi et. al., 2008) is being actively studied. In addition, the effects of functional packaging materials that have added functions such as fireproof, antibacterial, high-blocking, degradability, and far-infrared radiation have been studied (Chung et al., 2009). In addition, there are reports of the effects of quality changes (Park et al., 2007) and MA storage methods on the quality of apples by packing apples with functional MA films((Park et al., 2004). But there are only few reports on quality safety by analyzing the correlation between the change of reducing sugar and total sugar and preference during storage by packing Geochang, Yeongju, and Yesan apples in functional MA film. Therefore, this study aims to propose a method to secure the quality safety of apples by investigating the effect of sugar change on the preference of apples during storage by packing apples in three regions in functional MA films.

We present ferroelectricity of Bi-doped ZnO film probed by piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM), which is one of the Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques. Perovskite ferroelectrics are limited to integration of devices into semiconductor microcircuitry due to hard adjusting their lattice structure to the semiconductor materials. Transition metal doped ZnO film is one of the candidate materials for replacing the perovskite ferroelectrics. In this study, ferroelectric characteristics of the Bi-doped ZnO grown by pulsed laser deposition were probed by PFM. The polarization switching and patterning of the ZnO films were performed by applying DC bias voltage between the AFM tips and the films with varying voltages and polarity. The PFM contrast before and after patterning showed clearly polarization switching for a specific concentration of Bi atoms. In addition, the patterned regions with nanoscale show clearly the local piezoresponse hysteresis loop. The spontaneous polarization of the ZnO film is estimated from the local piezoresponse based on the comparison with LiNbO3 single crystals.

Ultraviolet curable coating solution was prepared with poly(ethylene glycol) acrylate oligomer and various mono and multi-functional acrylate monomers. The optical properties of UV cured coating layer on PET film with acrylate coating solution containing metal oxides, such as fumed silica and alumina, were also investigated to reduce light reflection on films. Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate which has 575 of average molecular weight was used as oligomer acrylate, and pentaerythritol triacrylate and dipentaerythritolpenta-/hexa acrylate were used as multi-functional acrylate monomers. Also, butyl acrylate was used to improve the adhesion as well as to reduce glass transition temperature to give a better flexability. 1-hydroxy cyclohexyl phenyl ketone was used as photoinitiator. We found out the metal oxides in acrylate coating solution showed a homogeneous dispersion from energy dispersive spectroscopy data. Transmittance and light reflection of coated PET film was measured with UV/vis spectrometer and gloss meter, respectively. When 1.00 g of both metal oxides was added into coating solution, the transmittance and the glossiness were reduced from 90% to 30% and from 190 GU to 35 GU, respectively. However, adding up to 1.00 g of the metal oxide into coating solution did not affect on the hardness of coating layer and adhesion between coated layer and PET film. Conclusively, we can control transmittance and light reflection of coated film by adjusting the amounts of metal oxide in coating solution.
Weight loss of table Grape packed with control(Corrugated paperboard box), LDPE, CE(MA film masterbatched by ceramic powder treated cemical reagent) and FC box(laminated by CE film pouch) at 25 C after 10 days were 5.6%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.7%, respectively. Weight loss of control was 7.29times higher than that of FC box. Total ascorbic acid content(TAA) of table grape after 10 days was 3.42 mg% for control, was 5.33 for LDPE and 5.14mg% for CE, 4.98mg% for FC. TAA of LDPE and CE showed to higher than that of control, especially TAA of FC was 33% higher than that of control. Titratable acid of LDPE and CE was high compare to control, and acidity of FC was 6% higher than that of control. References in overall appearance of LDPE, CE and FC were better than that of control. Corrugated paperboard box(FC) laminated with functional MA film showed to be able to used as packaging box of table grape.
The light-emitting properties of poly(2-triethylgermyl-1,4-phenylenevinylene) (TEG-PPV) are compared with those of the silyl-substituted PPV homologue, poly(2-trimethylsilyl-1,4phenylenevinylene) (TMS-PPV). The precursor polymer is solution-processable. After carrying out thermal elimination on the precursor polymer film, the resulting fully conjugated polymer film was found to exhibit high thermal stability in air, and absorption that is shifted to the longer wavelength region owing to the extension of the n-conjugated system. TEG-PPV exhibits efficient green light emission; the maximum PL emission of a TEG-PPV thin film was found to be at 515 nm. The HOMO and LUMO energy levels were also determined using photo-emission spectroscopy. The performance of the TEG-PPV EL device was found to be comparable to that of the TMS-PPV device.

We proposed the two-dimensional (2D) / three-dimensional (3D) convertible modified integral imaging system using functional polarizing film named $imazer^{TM}$, which transfer or scatter the incident light ray according to the polarizing direction of ray. When the incident light rays transfer to $imazer^{TM}$, the rays generate 3D image through the process of the modified integral imaging system. However, the scattered light rays generate 2D image through the simple backlight scheme when the incident rays are scattered by the film. The proposed method can be implemented the partial 3D display system without any mechanical movements. In this paper, we propose and verify our system using some basic experiments and its results.
