  • Collision avoidance for the aircraft can be stated as a problem of maintaining a safe distance between aircrafts in conflict. Optimal collision avoidance problem seeks to minimize the given cost function while simultaneously satisfying the constraints. The cost function can be a function of time or input. This paper addresses the trajectory time-optimization problem for collision avoidance of the unmanned aerial vehicles. The problem is difficult to handle, because it is a two points boundary value problem with dynamic environment. Some simplifying algorithms are used for application in on-line operation. Although there are more complicated problems, by prediction of conflict time and some assumptions, we changed a dynamic environment problem into a static one.

  • With role-based access control, access decisions are based on the roles that individual users have as part of an organization. In this paper, we propose a new RBAC model that a user delegate a permission to another user with function-unit for practical organization. A function-unit delegation is more safe than existing delegations on RBAC model. And FuRBAC model has a authentication to supervise security problems.

  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a safe, noninvasive and useful technique for exploring brain function. Especially, for the study of cognition, the technique can modulate a cognitive performance if the targeted area is engaged, because TMS has an effect on cortical network. The effect of TMS can vary depending on the frequency, intensity, and timing of stimulation. In this paper, we review the studies with TMS targeting various regions for evaluation of cognitive function. Cognitive functions, such as attention, working memory, semantic decision, discrimination and social cognition can be improved or deteriorated according to TMS stimulation protocols. Furthermore, potential therapeutic applications of TMS, including therapy in a variety of illness and research into cortical localization, are discussed.

  • This paper describes a collision avoidance method for planning safe trajectories for multi-robot system in common work space. Usually objects have been approximated to convex polyhedra in most previous researches, but in case using such the approximation method it is difficult to represent objects analytically in terms of functions and also to describe tile relationship between the objects. In this paper, in order to solve such problems a modeling method which approximates objects to cylinder ended by hemispheres and or sphere is used and the maximum distance functions is defined which call be calculated simply. Using an objective function with inequality constraints which are related to minimum distance functions, work range and maximum allowable angular velocities of the robots, tile collision avoidance for two robots is formulated to a constrained function optimization problem. With a view to solve tile problem a penalty function having simple form is defined and used. A simple numerical example involving two PUMA-type robots is described.

  • In this paper, driving functions of the Korea High-speed Trains were decomposed based on systems engineering architecture. In order to analyze the driving function, various systems engineering tools and methods were used. Moreover, interfaces of decomposed driving functions were analyzed to figure out purposes of the driving functions. Through activity modeling of driving function of the Korea High-Speed Trains, main functions were derived when starting, speeding and stopping. When the high speed train is speeding, pre-departure checks and wheel slide prevention are essential driving activities for the safety and when the high speed train runs high speed, maintaining driving stability by monitoring bogie hunting and monitoring drivers' safe operation by vigilance systems is important. Furthermore, when the train is braking, the driver should checks brake and suspensions as safety actions.

  • Recently, biometrics and location information are being used for authentication in many devices. However, these information are stored as plaintext in safe device or, stored as ciphertext in authentication server it is used for authentication in plaintext by decrypting. Therefore, the leakage of authentication information as well as hacking can cause fatal privacy problems. In this paper, we propose a technique that can be authenticated without exposing authentication information to ciphertext using function encryption.

This paper presents a new collision risk model formula that is one modification model on the basis of one approach to the evaluation of collision risk using sech function produced in earlier studies. And as a tool of the evaluation field of ship collision, this paper applied the new model in appraising the collision risk and represented how to decide the safe range of own ship's action. Moreover this paper also analyzed theoretically how to determine the coefficients as described in the new modification model, and suggested the appropriate values as applicable.
