  • A structural dynamic analysis can be divided into a time domain analysis and a frequency domain analysis. The time domain analysis makes use of a direct integration method or a mode superposition method and the frequency domain analysis applies a DFT method. Generally the DFT method is more effective method in case of calculating response of periodic excitation. But in case of transient excitation exact solution can not be acquired. So, by modifying the response or increasing the period accuracy of solution can be enhanced. Accordingly this study analyzed dynamic responses of structures under aperiodic moving load in time domain and frequence domain. Consequently it is concluded that exact solution would be get enough using DFT method by increasing the duration of free vibration or modifying the dynamic response.

  • The calculation of the natural frequencies versus Young's modulus of carbon nanotubes with modified continuum shell is the subject of current research. When designing these tubes, it is important to understand their frequencies because excessive vibrations might cause fatigue. These tubes are designed and built to meet specific needs and have been suitably modified to investigate their vibratory response. There are numerous uses for carbon nanotube free vibration analysis in the mechanical sciences. The fundamental frequency with Young's modulus for clamped-free and simply supported end conditions, which is connected to the carbon nanotubes, is calculated theoretically for chiral single carbon nanotubes. When Young's modulus rises, so does the frequency curve pattern. Young's modulus influences the single-walled carbon nanotube's dynamic response by simulating it as a modified continuum shell. The Young's modulus of chiral tube and the value of frequency increased as the chiral tube's index increased. The results are checked against past studies to ensure the problem's validity and are determined to be accurate.

  • A 1/4 car model(2 DOF system) is employed to evaluate the performance included a quadratic cost functional in frequency domain. The design procedure of feedback control to optimize the performance index results in a modified Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian problem and cultivates a quite simple control algorithm. Computer simulation result is shown that the LQG method using frequency shaped performance index is outstanding in ride comfort and its response converges to the steady state very rapidly in comparison with the known passive suspension, classical design methods LQR/ and LQG.

  • In this paper the driving-condition-dependent optical transmission characteristics of an STN LCD are studied. The optical transmission properties are measured for the applied voltage waveform is varied. Also, the optimum ranges of the M signal frequency and the frame frequency are investigated. An LCD is modeled by the equivalent circuit to study the effect of the parameter variation on the frequency response.

  • The natural frequency of an one-link flexible robot manipulator may be varied due to many kinds of causes and this natural frequency is regarded as the uncertain element. Utilizing measured state the robust controller is designed for bounding every system response within a certain neighborhood of the zero state.

  • In the most of acoustic system with low flow rate and low pressure level, one-dimensional, linear modeling techniques are used very well. At low frequency, the tube is modeled as inertia element and cavity as capacitance element, and to extend the range of frequency normal mode oscillators are represented. Bond graph modelling techniques are proposed to predict TL (Transmission Loss) and time response which is impossible by transfer matrix in muffler system. A simple acoustic filter which consists of several tubes and cawities is analyzed in both time and frequency domain.
