This study was performed to assess the efficacy of high voltage pulsed galvanic current for the healing of wounds in rabbits. Skin wounds were created laterally on the flank of 12 domestic rabbits($3{\times}3cm$). The wounds of each group were treated with an intensity of 170 V at a frequency of 70 pulses per second, which was applied for 30 minutes a day for 10 days. The experimental groups were randomly assigned to either EXP I (n=3), EXP II(n=3), EXP III(n=3) or control(n=3). Each group was stimulated under the following conditions : 1) EXP I (Negative polarity), 2) EXP II (Change in polarity, negative electrode stimulation during the first 3 days and then positive electrode stimulation from 4 to 10 days), 3) EXP III(Positive polarity), 4) control(No stimulation). An active electrode was placed over the wound and a dispersive electrode on the buttock. The rate of wound closure was compared with the original wound size, evaluated by a tracing film in each measurement period. Finally, on the wound in each group, skin tissue was excised for histological evaluation after treatment for 10 days. The results obtained are as follows : 1) It was found that the control group did not show a complete remodeling of epitherial layer and had a chronic inflammatory response. Judging from the irregularity of intercellular space and the loose alignment of connective tissue, these findings show that wound healing was delayed. 2) EXP I showed a significant bactericidal effect, but a moderate response of vasodilation. The rate of wound closure was slower when compared with EXP II, III. 3) EXP II showed a complete remodeling of epitherial layer and a positive repair of connective tissue. Its rate of wound closure was best when compared with the others. 4) EXP III had a slower rate of wound closure than EXP II, but judging from the greater proliferation of collagen fibers and the dense alignment of connective tissue, this positive electrode was very effective in the formation of neo - connective tissue.
Purpose: This study studied and investigated the oral health behavior of students in the Department of Dental Technology at D College at D City. Methods: A self-administrated survey was conducted by students currently enrolled at the Department of Dental Laboratory Technology at D College (June 4, 2015 ~ June 12, 2015), and 320 copies that were available for statistical processing were statistically analyzed by using the SPSS 19.0 Program. Results: Among the survey respondents, 91.6% had experience of dental treatment. The highest response regarding the frequency of tooth brushing appeared to be 'twice' with 44.7%. The responses regarding the time of tooth brushing appeared to be highest for 'before sleeping' with 65.3%, which was followed by 'after breakfast' with 60.6%. To the question asking which areas are brushed during tooth brushing, the response of 'teeth, gum, and tongue' appeared to be highest with 44.4%. Among the respondents, 64.7% experienced scaling, however, the experience rate for scaling appeared to increase in proportion with the increase of class year (p< .001). Regarding the subjective feel for the importance of oral health and necessity of tooth brushing, the scores appeared to be both 4.56. However, the score appeared to be 3.27 regarding one's subjective perception of one's own oral health condition. Regarding one's subjective oral health knowledge level depending on gender, female students showed a meaningfully lower rate (3.12 points) compared to male students (3.29 points) (p< .05), and depending on class, the knowledge level appeared to be meaningfully higher along with the increase in class year (p< .001). The experience of receiving oral health education appeared to be 78.4%, and 88.8% of the respondents responded that there is need for oral health education, however, the intent to participate in an oral health education program appeared to be 56.6%. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it could be concluded that oral health management behaviors and awareness of the students at the Department of Dental Technology at D University to prevent oral diseases were rather poor.
objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate job satisfaction of dental hygienist who were employed at the private dental clinic in Ulsan, Korea methods: The date obtained from some dental hygienists during 1 month. the survey was performed by face-by-face interview questionnaire consisting of 23 items and 6 point Likert type response format. The respondents were 77 from dental hygienists. The adjusted response rate was 88.5%(77/87). Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, independent T-test, ANOVA, chi-square and correlation. all statistical analyzed were conducted using Statistical Package for SPSS 11.5 result: In each factorial duty contentment, the level of the self-conceit from their own job was the highest. on contrary, the level of their monthly earnings was the lowest. In such a case as there was experience to move to another dental hospital, the job satisfaction was higher than nothing to move. conclusion: The dental hygienist who is in charge of protecting and hygiene of the teeth and the disease of oral has much influence of oral health. job satisfaction the dental hygienists have for their own job can influence themselves and even patients. So, making the job satisfaction higher is necessary to improve the quality of general dental hygiene.

In evaluation of blast-induced vibration, peak particle velocity (PPV) is generally calculated by using attenuation relation curve. Calculated velocity is compared with the value in legal requirements or the standards to determine the stability. Attenuation relation curve varies depending on frequency of test blasting, geological structure of the site and blasting condition, so it is difficult to predict accurately using such an equation. Since PPV is response value from the ground, direct evaluation of the structure is impractical. Because of such a limit, engineers tend to use the commercial numerical analysis program in evaluating the stability of the structure more accurately. However, when simulate the explosion process using existing numerical analysis program, it's never easy to accurately simulate the complex conditions (fracture, crushing, cracks and plastic deformation) around blasting hole. For simulating such a process, the range for modelling will be limited due to the maximum node count and it requires extended calculation time as well. Thus, this study is intended to simulate the elastic energy after fractured zone only, instead of simulating the complex conditions of the rock that results from the blast, and the analysis of response characteristics of the velocity depending on shape and size of the fractured zone was conducted. As a result, difference in velocity and attenuation character were calculated depending on fractured zone around the blast source appeared. Propagation of vibration tended to spread spherically as it is distanced farther from the blast source.
It was reported that radiopharamaceuticals induced radiation adaptive response (RAR) in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Individual variations of RAR were not studied well. The purpose of this study was to evaluate individual variation of RAR in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Peripheral lymphocytes were collected from 23 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-diethylenetriamine$ pentaacetic acid $(^{99m}Tc-DTPA)$ renal scintigraphy, 18 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-methylene$ diphosphonate $(^{99m}Tc-MDP)$ bone scintigraphy and 21 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-tetrofosmin\;(^{99m}Tc-TF)$ scintigraphy were collected before and 4 hours after injection of radiopharmaceuticals. The lymphocytes were exposed to challenge dose of 2 Gy gamma rays using a cell irradiator. Numbers of ring-form (R) and dicentric (D) chromosomes were counted under the light microscope. and used to calculate the frequency of chromosomal aberration [Ydr=(D+R)/total number of counted lymphocytes]. Adaptation index (k) was defined 3s ratio of Ydr in conditioned lymphocytes over Ydr in unconditioned lymphocytes. Coefficients of variance of k in $^{99m}Tc-DTPA,\;^{99m}Tc-MDP\;and\;^{99m}Tc-TF$ were 35%, 34% and 21%, respectively k was not dependent upon age, sex, and underlying diseases. There was a wide variation of RAR induced by radiopharmaceuticals among patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures. It remains to be determined for causes of such variation.

In this paper, we propose an implementation and an algorithm of 'Jitter and Glitch Removing Circuit' for UHF RFID reader system based on ISO/IEC 18000-6C standard. We analyze the response of TI(Texas Instrument) Gen2 tag with a reader using the proposed algorithm. In ISO/IEC 18000-6C standard, a bit rate accuracy(tolerance) is up to +/-22% during tag-to-interrogator communication and +/-1% during interrogator-to-tag communication. In order to solve tolerance problems, we implement the Jitter and Glitch Removing Circuit using the concept of tolerance and tolerance-accumulation instead of PLL(DPLL, ADPLL). The main clock is 19.2MHz and the LF(Link Frequency) is determined as 40kHz to meet the local radio regulation in korea. As a result of simulations, the error-rate is zero within 15% tolerance of tag responses. And in the case of using the adaptive LF generation circuit, the error-rate varies from 0.000589 to zero between 15% and 22% tolerance of tag responses. In conclusion, the error-rate is zero between 0%-22% tolerance of tag response specified in ISO/IEC 18000-6C standard.
This study used in vivo intracellular recording in rat hippocampus to evaluate the effect of lidocaine and MK-801 on the membrane properties and the synaptic responses of individual neurons to electrical stimulation of the commissural pathway. Cells in control group typically fired in a tonic discharge mode with an average firing frequency of $2.4{\pm}0.9$ Hz. Neuron in MK-801 treated group (0.2 mg/kg, i.p.) had an average input resistance of $3.28{\pm}5.7\;M{\Omega}$ and a membrane time constant of $7.4{\pm}1.8$ ms. These neurons exhibited $2.4{\pm}0.2$ ms spike durations, which were similar to the average spike duration recorded in the neurons of the control group. Slightly less than half of these neurons were firing spontaneously with an average discharge rate of $2.4{\pm}1.1$ Hz. The average peak amplitude of the AHP following the spikes in these groups was $7.4{\pm}0.6$ mV with respect to the resting membrane potential. Cells in MK-801 and lidocaine treated group (5 mg/kg, i.c.v.) had an average input resistance of $3.45{\pm}6.0\;M{\Omega}$ and an average time constant of $8.0{\pm}1.4$ ms. The cells were firing spontaneously at an average discharge rate of $0.6{\pm}0.4$ Hz. Upon depolarization of the membrane by 0.8 nA for 400 ms, all of the tested cells exhibited accommodation of spike discharge. The most common synaptic response contained an EPSP followed by early-IPSP and late-IPSP. Analysis of the voltage dependence revealed that the early-IPSP and late-IPSP were putative $Cl^--and\;K^+-dependent$, respectively. Systemic injection of the NMDA receptor blocker, MK-801, did not block synaptic responses to the stimulation of the commissural pathway. No significant modifications of EPSP, early-IPSP, or late-IPSP components were detected in the MK-801 and/or lidocaine treated group. These results suggest that MK-801 and lidocaine manifest their CNS effects through firing pattern of hippocampal pyramidal cells and neural network pattern by changing the synaptic efficacy and cellular membrane properties.

DCS (Distributed Control System), the main control system of power plants, is an automated system for enhancing operational efficiency by monitoring, tuning and real-time operation. DCS is becoming more intelligent and open systems as Information technology are evolving. In addition, there are a large amount of investment to enable proactive facility management, maintenance and risk management through the predictive diagnostics. However, new upcoming weaponized malware, such as Stuxnet designed for disrupting industrial control system(ICS), become new threat to the main control system of the power plant. Even though these systems are not connected with any other outside network. The main control systems used in the power plant usually have been used for more than 10 years. Also, this system requires the extremely high availability (rapid recovery and low failure frequency). Therefore, installing updates including security patches is not easy. Even more, in some cases, installing security updates can break the warranty by the vendor's policy. If DCS is exposed a potential vulnerability, serious concerns are to be expected. In this paper, we conduct the penetration test by using NESSUS, a general-purpose vulnerability scanner under the simulated environment configured with the Ovation version 1.5. From this result, we suggest a log analysis method to detect the security infringement and react the incident effectively.

It is a method to treat pain using medication, neurotomy, and surgery. And acupuncture, ultrasound, electric treatment, and magnetic treatment are applied as a alternative physiotherapy. Electronic therapy is useful but it can be affected by impedance of skin or subcutaneous tissue. So, percutaneous stimulation is leading therapy, that is very randomly. We developed the system which can stimulate parts of acupuncture point noninvasively using the focused magnetic field. And we designed the magnetic stimulation electrode which is considered efficiency of the magnetic stimulation. It can make similar stimulation with manual acupuncture. To confirm the availability and reliability we compared Meridian Electronic Potential(MEP) change between manual acupuncture and magnetic stimulation. From this result, we found out the MEP changes of manual acupuncture and magnetic stimulation were similar. And there were various response properties as changes of stimulation method, intensity, and frequency. Also, the MEP change can be induced by electromagnetic stimulation. We confirmed that it is possible to use electromagnetic stimulation as a acupoint stimulation or pain treatment instrument.
A fiber-optic magnetic sensor system for the detection of small ac magnetic field(200Hz-2 kHz) was constructed. Magnetic field sensing part was fabricated by bonding a section of optical fiber to amorphous metallic glass(2605SC) having large magnetostriction effect. And with the directional coupler, all fiber type Mach-Zehnder interferometer was constructed to measure the variation of the external magnetic field by translating it into the optical phase shift in the interferometer. The signal fading problem of the interferometer, which is due to random phase drifts originated from the environment, i.e., temperature fluctuation, vibrations, etc., was elliminated by feedback phase compensation. This allows the sensitivity to be maintained at the maximum by keeping the interferometer in quadrature phase condition. The frequency response of metallic glass was found to be nearly flat in the range of 90 Hz-2 kHz and dc bias field for the maximum ac response was 3.5 Oe. The interferometer output showed good linearity over the range $\pm$0.5 Oe. For 1 kHz ac magnetic field the scale factor S and the minimum detectable magnetic field were measured to be 8.0 rad/Oe and $3X10^{-6} Oe/\sqrt{Hz}$at 1 Hz detection bandwidth respectively.
