This study investigated the allowance usage practices and factors affecting saving behavior from 291 elementary school students in Susan. Frequency distributions, Pearson product-moment correlations, and logistic regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. Two-fifths of the respondents did not regularly receive allowance. Many parents did not guide what children spent their money on before using it. Children spent their allowances on buying snacks, stationary, and playing in the game room. Only a small number of the respondents kept a record, but many children saved money. On the other hand, in the logistic regression analysis, the significant variables explaining children's saving behavior were parents' guidance before using allowance, record-keeping, and doing household work for an allowance. These results imply that parents are in the best position to give children positive experiences towards financial management.
Due to the trend of shift to digitalization of the storyboard in 1990's, many a number of storyboard related softwares were born. With this change of trends, however, there was an undeniable lack of tangible data showing the advantage of such digitalization of the storyboard using software technology over conventional methods of doing the same job. In this study, therefore, we have selected the top five storyboard software suits in terms of their frequency in use and a sample group of 85 people to give an analysis on their usability. The result of this analysis revealed two underlying tendencies regarding this issue. Firstly, all of the five softwares selected lacked interactive presentational features, suggesting the directives for the next phase of software development. Secondly, our experiments in this study showed that the most prominent benefit of using the softwares is the higher efficacy in delivering necessary information through real-time based replays, rather than the digitalization of the contents themselves. We expect that the findings of our study would serve as a new model for future software enhancement for the developers. And for the users of such softwares, too, the findings of this study is expected to help them understand what kind of benefits they can expect as they use these storyboard softwares.

Recently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan has reported on a plan for the "effective use of radio waves" to be promoted in the 2020s. This includes promotion of the effective use of public frequencies, reviews of frequency allocation and transition systems, and spectrum usage fee system. Based on the proposals in this study, concrete systems for revising related laws, such as the Radio Law, will be designed and implemented. In addition, the government will jointly conduct research and development as well as verification tests in cooperation with industry, academia, and government. A plan to improve the system for the effective use of radio waves will then be devised. This study examines the policy directions of the frequency utilization system that Japan plans to use for radio waves in the 2020s. The policy directions are analyzed selectively while considering the radio waves utilization system in Korea, and implications for domestic applications are derived. Based on the research from this study, analyzing the radio policies of advanced countries, including those of England and the United States, and utilizing them to establish an effective use plan of radio waves in Korea are deemed necessary.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the frequency of convenience food consumption at convenience stores (CVS) and the CVS usage patterns of middle and high school students as well as to understand students' attitude toward sodium and sugar reduction. Methods: We used an online questionnaire for data collection. The questionnaire comprised five distinct categories: general characteristics, CVS usage, frequency of consumption according to convenience food menus at CVS, attitude toward sodium and sugar reduction, and adherence to dietary guidelines. Results: A total of 75 students from Seoul (14 middle school students and 61 high school students) participated in the study. Most respondents visit CVS 3-5 times a week. CVS are predominantly used during weekdays, mostly during lunch, and dinner. The students mostly checked the caloric content and expiration date as food labeling information. The participants were aware of the need to reduce their sugar and sodium intake. Among frequent CVS convenience food consumers, there was an increased consideration of the need to reduce their sugar and sodium consumption, despite their actual selection of foods with high sugar and sodium content. Additionally, they did not check the sugar and sodium levels indicated in food labeling. Further, the dietary action guide from the Ministry of Health and Welfare were poorly followed by most students. Conclusions: There is a need for nutrition education specifically addressing the sugar and sodium content of the convenience foods predominantly consumed by students. Additionally, educating students with frequent convenience food consumption to actively check the sugar and sodium information on food labels could help promote healthier food choices.
The congestion in wireless sensor network increases the ratio of data loss and causes the delay of data. The existing congestion protocols for wireless sensor network reduces the amount of transmission by control the sampling frequency of the sensor nodes related to the congestion when the congestion has occurred and was detected. However, the control method of sampling frequency is not applicable on the situation which is sensitive to the temporal data loss. In the paper, we propose a new congestion control, ACT - Adaptive Congestion conTrol. The ACT monitors the network traffic with the queue usage and detects the congestion based on the multi level threshold of queue usage. Given network congestion, the ACT increases the efficiency of network by adaptive flow control method which adjusts the frequency of packet transmission and guarantees the fairness of packet transmission between nodes. Furthermore, ACT increases the quality of data by using the variable compression method. Through experiment, we show that ACT increases the network efficiency and guarantees the fairness to sensor nodes compared with existing method.
Objectivs : The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the use of oral hygiene devices and to improve oral health care continuously by encouraging the use of oral hygiene devices. Methods : The survey was carried out by questionnaire research targeting 395 respondents in metropolitan area in June-August 2009. The collected data is analyzed by statistics program SPSS version 12.0. 1. General characteristics of subjects are analyzed by percentage and descriptive statistics. 2. Recognition about how to use oral hygiene devices, usage of oral hygiene devices, recognition of dental brush usage, Effect after using oral hygiene devices are analyzed by mean difference test(t, F verification). 3. Effect after using oral hygiene devices, relation of oral hygiene devices usage with subjective oral health status, oral hygiene devices usage and participation in education are analyzed by Correlation, Regression analysis. Results : 1. Investigation shows that most oral health devices are rarely used except toothbrush(4.57) in case of the use of oral hygiene devices. 2. In the case of awareness of oral hygiene devices usage, almost everyone knows how to use dental brushes(MEAN 4.16) the most. And the next ones are like these-tooth picks(MEAN 3.38), dental floss(MEAN 3.28), mouth rinse(MEAN 3.24). And they don't know how to use the other oral hygiene devices usage. 3. respondents who use dental floss(${\beta}$=.238, p<.001), interdental brush(${\beta}$=.242, p<.001) and water pik(${\beta}$ =.180, p<.05) recognize that the result and effect after using them are more positive than the others in different case. 4. Respondents who use toothbrush(${\beta}$=.119), dental floss(${\beta}$=.120) and interdental brush(${\beta}$=.136). frequently evaluate their subjective oral health status positively in case of frequency of using oral hygiene devices and subjective oral health status(p<.05). 5. Respondents who use toothbrush and interdental brush properly and frequently, who are older than the others show more concern about participating in education of "How to use oral hygiene devices" than the others(p<.05). Conclusions : In conclusion, to prevent oral disease, the opportunity of participating in education about correct knowledge and proper way should be expanded. And we should contribute to oral health improvement through developing, executing and informing systematic, popular oral health education with active one.

With the advent of the era of ubiquitous computing, the number of wireless communication devices has been exponentially increasing, which phenomenon requires for the preparation for the upcoming shortage of frequency resource. Recently, in consequence, the concept of Cognitive Radio (CR) was introduced in which the wireless nodes periodically recognize and learn the external conditions of communication including the usage of the frequency spectrum. It is essential to assure sufficient range of frequency to satisfy the users of the increasing wireless network devices. However, since not only the frequency band for wireless communication is finite, but most part of them had already been assigned for the primary users of the wireless network service, it is very difficult to ensure the band of frequency for additional communication service. In this contribution, we analyze and describe the issues of designing and implementation of CR networks.
The purpose of this study was to find out the current status of smart phone usage, differences of developmental characteristics and time diaries between high- and low- usage groups. The study also tried predicting variables among children's personal and family environment factors in order to classify four year old children in the fifth year Panel Study on Korean Children into the two groups. Data was collected from 435 smart phone users and 157 of them who had started to use a phone before age 3.Frequency analysis, t-test and logistic regression were performed. The results showed that most 4 year old children started to use a phone in their fourth year and used it frequently. The low level groups of girls and all participants showed lower levels of behavior problems, and the low level group of all participants had a longer sleep times than the high level group had. Children's activity and social temperament were identified as predicting variables for classifying children into the two groups. The results suggested the necessity of measures preventing children from excessive smart phone usage in their early years and to consider children's temperament first.

This paper analyzed the background and status of studies for WRC-15 agenda item which considers additional frequency allocations to the fixed-satellite service in Ku-band and considered national future countermeasures. Satellite frequency can be acquired through compliance with the Radio Regulations for international registration and it has been recognized as the limited natural resource, and which leads to intensifying the competition among countries for the preoccupancy of it. Under the circumstances, WRC-15 is going to consider additional allocations to the fixed-satellite service in Ku-band and it is necessary to cope with the situation taking into account adequate protection of the existing services and future plan of frequency usage by the fixed-satellite service.
Rural Korea has been becoming heavily aged societies from the end of 20th century due to the massive depopulation of young generation and extension of the average span of human beings. Although rural communities in Korea had been traditionally based on closely webbed social relations, almost all of community self-help organizations disappeared in recent time with very strong urbanization trend. However, almost all rural villages in Korea have the village seniors' union -'NO-IN-HOE' in Korean speaking- of which members usually use, operate and maintain community facilities in terms of voluntary base. Using these facilities, most of public/common/private services and community activities have been being served or provided. So, the purpose of this study is to investigate the usage tendency of community facilities and needs of the rural elderly and to propose the improvement strategies for their optimum usage. For this purpose, data was gathered both from community (107 villages) and individual level surveys(881 older people). The statistical method used for data analysis was descriptive statistics. The major findings were as follows : It was found that the dominant family type of the rural elderly was elderly-only household (75%) with very limited economic capability. There are 2$\sim$3 common community facilities with village including the seniors' center -'KYOUNG-RO-DANG' in Korean speaking. Many of the elderly (74%) use the center once or twice per week. There are several rooms in the center, like as kitchen bathroom and health room, of which usage frequency differs respectively. Many rural elderly want assistance from out-of-village for good maintenance and free use of these facilities.
