  • Since 2000s in Korea, apartment building tended to become goods or assets rather than houses. Therefore, conflicts between supplier and consumer were aggravated, and the defect dispute has been increased rapidly. This dispute enlarges to defect lawsuit and it is social and economical matter. The landscape work in apartment building is main work for a resident that appearance and convenient facility which lawn, tree, fountain, chair, playground, and etc. A number of defects surround landscape work are important issue in defect lawsuit, but, a related research is a minority, and a regulation is incomplete. Therefore, this study is basic study for standard of landscape defect type. As case study on defect lawsuit, draw a landscape defect type in apartment building.

수공간 변천에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Transition of Water Spaces)

  • Water plays significant roles in constructing architectural structures. This is because a comfortable human life is impossible without proper distribution of water. Here the notion of water space is introduced in the field of the modern architecture. This study examines the typological variations of water space in the outdoor space of architectural structures and concludes the contents discussed. Unlike the traditional architecture, the modern architecture takes the types of water into account. And in the modern architecture the multiple considerations of water space are being made for the public, not for the specific customers.

세슘 원자분수 주파수표준기 개발 현황 (Progress in Developing a Cesium Atomic Fountain Frequency Standard)

  • 최근 정보 통신 및 우주 항공 분야 등에서 정밀한 시계에 대한 필요성이 증가함에 따라 현재의 원자시계 보다 더 우수한 원자시계에 대한 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하여 새로운 원자시계에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히, 레이저 냉각기술이 발명됨에 따라 레이저 냉각된 원자를 이용하여 원자시계를 제작하려는 연구들이 있는데, 그 중에서 원자분수 방식을 이용하는 주파수표준기가 차세대 원자시계로 기대되고 있다. 원자분수 주파수표준기는 이미 프랑스 LPTF에서 제작하여 그 불확도가 3$\times$$10^{15}$인 것으로 알려져 있다. 한국표준과학연구원에서도 1996 년부터 원자분수 주파수 표준기 개발을 위한 예비실험으로 원자의 온도를 수 $\mu$K 까지 냉각하였으며, 자유낙하하는 원자의 형광을 관측하여 온도를 측정하였다. 이러한 일련의 예비실험을 통하여 레이저 냉각 기술 및 형광측정 능력 등을 확보하고 본격적인 원자분수 주파수표준기 제작에 착수하였다.   • Recently. with the rapid development in large sea water systems. there occurs much interest in the study of erosion-corrosion. In this study. the mild steel(SB41) was tested by using of a erosion-corrosion test apparatus with fountain-jet and was investigated under the environments of liquid, air-liquid 2 phase flow and solid particle-liquid 2 phase flow. Main results obtained are as follows : 1. The weight loss by corrosion-erosion in air-liquid 2 phase flow are more increased than that in only liquid solution. 2. Effect of air-liquid 2 phase flow on corrosion-erosion sensitivity becomes more sensitive in natural seawater than that in distilled water. 3. The corrosion potential by corrosion-erosion in air-liquid and solid particle-liquid 2 phase flow becomes noble than that of only liquid solution.

효율적인 정도 생성기 및 새로운 순열 기법을 가진 LT 코덱 구조 (A LT Codec Architecture with an Efficient Degree Generator and New Permutation Technique)

  • In this paper, a novel hardware architecture of the LT codec is presented where non-BP based decoding algorithm is applied. Novel LT codec architecture is designed with an efficient degree distribution unit using Verilog HDL. To perform permutation operation, different initial valued or time shifted counters have been used to get pretty well permutations and an effect of randomness. The codec will take 128 bits as input and produce 256 encoded output bits. The simulation results show expected performances as the implemented distribution and the original distribution are pretty same. The proposed LT codec takes 257.5 cycle counts and $2.575{\mu}s$ for encoding and decoding instead of 5,204,861 minimum cycle counts and 4.43s of the design mentioned in the previous works where iterative soft BP decoding was used in ASIC and ASIP implementation of the LT codec.

Rethinking the US Presidential Election: Feminism and Big Data

  • The 2020 US Presidential Election was a highly-anticipated moment for our global society. During the election period, the most intriguing issue was who would be the winner-Trump or Biden? Among the possible main themes of the 2020 election, from the COVID-19 pandemic to racism, this study focused on feminism ('women') as a main component of Biden's victory. To explore the character of Biden's supporters, this paper focused on internet spaces as a source of public opinion. To guide the data analysis, this study employed four indices from empirical studies on Big Data analytics: issue salience, attention diversity, emotional mentioning, and semantic cohesion. The main finding of this study was that the representative keyword 'women' appeared more prevalently within content related to Biden than Trump, and the keyword pairs indicated that female voters were the main reason for Trump's failure but the root cause of Biden's victory. The results of this study indicated the role of the internet as a forum for public opinion and a fountain of political knowledge, which requires more rigorous investigation by researchers.

해안 가로의 지속가능성 향상을 위한 가로 시설물 연구 - 제주도 해수욕장 주변 가로시설물을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Street Facilities for the Sustainability Improvement of the Coastal Street - Focused on the Street Facilities around Jeju Island Beach -)

  • In Korea, which has three sides of the sea, various waterfront spaces are being developed and developed along with various coastal landscapes. However, there are a lot of cases that do not consider the regional characteristic of the coast or the characteristic of the coastal landscape. In many cases, the street facilities cause the landscape degradation and the use inconvenience because of incongruity with the scenery, aging and lax management. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect the specificity of the coastal landscape in planning and directing the street facilities, harmonizing with the surrounding natural environment, and consideration of sustainability. However, there is no research or planning index for sustainable street facilities considering the coastal characteristics. Therefore, this study suggests plan elements to improve the sustainability of the street facilities on the shore and proposes them as basic plan elements, and suggests what kind of improvements should be made to improve the sustainability of coastal facilities in Korea. Based on the plan elements derived from the plan, we checked the problems and complementary points of coastal street facilities in Korea by analyzing the current status of the street facilities around the Jeju Island beach from a sustainable point of view, and suggested plan indicators that should be supplemented to improve sustainability. We surveyed the street facilities such as walkway blocks, benches, pagoda, drinking fountain, trash cans, bicycle shelters, fences, guide maps, streetlights, and shower rooms in 10 beaches in Jeju Island. This study analyzed the sustainability characteristics of the each factor of these facilities by surveying the reflectivity of the 23 plan indicators from the six aspects derived from the sustainability planning factor as conformity, partial reflection, non - reflection, and nonconformity. The results of the analysis showed that the functional aspect was the highest with 68.3%, the material aspect (53%), the landscape aspect (22.3%), the productive aspect (14.7%) and the morphological aspect (12.2%), and maintenance / management (10.6%). In addition, the facilities with the lowest fitness in each aspect are bicycle shelter in landscape aspect, bicycle storage box and trash can in form aspect, shower room in material aspect, trash can in functional aspect, showroom, guide maps and drinking fountain in product aspect, showroom In maintenance aspect. In order to improve the sustainability of coastal facilities in the future, it is necessary to complement the administrative and landscape aspects. In coastal facilities, it is necessary to consider the sustainability planning index, especially for showers, taking into account the specificity of beaches. Consideration should be given to various aspects of sustainability for bike shelters and trash facilities. Through this study, we have proposed the plan elements to systematize, supplement, and improve the planning index for sustainability improvement in coastal facilities planning.

한강시민공원 시설이용도 및 만족도에 관한 연구 - 한강시민공원 뚝섬지구를 중심으로 - (A Study on Facility and Satisfaction of Han River Citizen's Park - A Case Study of Ttuksum District -)

  • 본 연구는 하천변 신규공원을 조성하거나 기존의 하천변 공원을 재정비할 때 전반적인 이용만족도를 높이기 위한 계획 및 설계에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자, 한강시민공원 뚝섬지구 이용자들을 대상으로 시설이용도 및 만족도 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 위하여 한강시민공원 뚝섬지구를 이용하는 이용자 374명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 표집은 편의추출법(convenience sampling method)을 사용하여 표본을 추출하고, 자기평가기입법(self-administration method)으로 설문에 응하도록 하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 뚝섬지구 이용자는 여성이 남성에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 접근성과 관련이 있는 거주지 분포에서는 대상지와 5km 이내에 거주하는 사람들의 이용이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2) 뚝섬지구를 이용하는 사람들의 방문 목적은 산책이나 휴식 및 운동 등이 높게 나타났으며, 동행인 특성으로는 친구, 가족과 함께 이용하는 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 이용 목적 및 동행인 특성별 시설이용도는 잔디광장이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 3) 뚝섬지구 공원시설 이용자 만족도는 잔디광장(3.95), 운동시설(3.73) 및 음악분수(3.72)가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 공원 특화시설 중 음악분수를 제외하고는 대부분 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 이용성 및 경관성에 대한 만족도는 접근성(4.03)과 야간경관(3.90)이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로, 향후에 이루어질 연구에서는 이러한 결론들에 대한 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 실증적인 검증 절차가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보여진다.

동축 반전 전기동력 수직이착륙기의 지면 효과에 대한 전산해석 (Computational Simulation of Coaxial eVTOL Aircraft in Ground Effect)

  • 로터 시스템을 사용하는 도심 항공 모빌리티(Urban Air Mobility, UAM)는 이착륙 시 버티포트(Vertiport)에서 지면 효과를 경험하게 된다. UAM의 안전한 운용을 위해서는 지면 효과가 비행체의 공력성능에 미치는 영향성이 선행적으로 분석되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM)를 적용하여지면 효과가 동축 반전 프로펠러를 장착한 쿼드콥터 형상 전기동력 수직이착륙기 전기체의 공력성능 및 후류 구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 동축 반전 프로펠러 시스템의 상하부 프로펠러에서 지면 효과 영향성은 상이하게 관찰되었다. 지면과의 이격 거리가 변화하더라도 상부 프로펠러의 성능에는 큰 변화가 없었지만, 지면과 가까워질수록 하부 프로펠러에서는 평균 추력과 토크 값이 크게 증가하였다. 또한 이격 거리가 감소함에 따라 추력 변동의 진폭이 증가하는 경향성이 나타났다. 지면 효과에 의해 프로펠러 후류는 하류 방향으로 충분히 전파되지 못하고 지면을 따라 발달한 Outwash 흐름에 의해 확산되었다. 프로펠러 시스템 사이에서 지면 확산 유동이 충돌하는 분수 와류(Fountain Vortex)의 형성을 확인하였다.

대구직할시(大邱直轄市) 두류공원(頭流公園) 도로조경계획(道路造景計劃) (Landscape Planning of Duryu Street Park in Taegu City)

  • This is a study on a landscape planning along the street 1~4, which are gateways to Taegu city and an important scenery. Therefore, emphasis was given to provide a bright, clean and beautiful first impression to visitors and citizens. The area is being developed for education and athletic park. Plans to construct a fountain, pergolas and a pond were set up to complement the active and passive facilities to the existing a athletic facilities in the area. Since D part in the area have alkali soil (pH 8.1), soil amendment is necessary for successful growth of trees and ground covers. When the area is filled or added with new soil for soil amendment, it will be important to use fresh soil which can support plant growth. It will be ideal to use ground covers and shrubs on the existing retaining walls along the street for keeping natural vegetation and slope stability instead of further cutting and reconstruction. It is not reasonable in technical and economic sense to remove rocks of the slope for planting trees. In order to harmonize plant color distribute, tall needle and broad leaf trees in the background as a screen, flowering trees were arranged in groups at front, and annuals were mass-planted along the footway. Natural-form-trees will be planted because they not only serve as a greenbelt but also are more economics in maintenance than formative trees.
