  • In this paper we focus on a type of Unimodular polynomial pair used for digital systems and present some new properties of them which lead us to estimation of their autocorrelation coefficients and the moments of a Rudin-Shapiro polynomial product. Some new results on the Rudin-shapiro sequences will be presented in the last section. Main Facts: For positive integers M and n with $M\;<\;2^n$ - 1, consider the $2^n$ - M numbers ${\epsilon}_k$ ($M\;{\leq}\;k\;{\leq}\;2^n$ - 1) which form a collection of Rudin-Shapiro coefficients. We verify that $|{\sum}_{k=M}^{2^{n-1}}\;{{\epsilon}_k}e^{ikt}|$ is dominated by $(2+\sqrt{2})\;\sqrt {2^n-M}-{\sqrt{2}}$.

  • Laser thin film process with a Q-switch pulsed YAG laser was performed for micro machining. In this research, we performed basic Cr thin film on glass substrates removal machining experiments. Form experiments, it happens not only evaporration of thin film but also spatter and cohesion of melting substance in working region, when machining a Cr thin film by Q-switch YAG laser beam irradiation. Critical energy of surface irradiation type by irradiation direction of laser in a face composing thin film on the glass is higher than that of back irradiation type, but the latter is favorable because of spatter appearance. In case of image formation position when laser beam is irradiated, the defocus is permitted to a certain extent within forcus depth. Ifexceeds focus depth, formation of pattern is vanishing step by step.

  • Korean marks case for subjects and objects, but it is well known that case-markers can be dropped in certain contexts. Kwon and Zribi-Hertz (2008) establishes the phenomenon of Korean case drop on a single factor of f(ocus)-structure visibility and claims that both subject and object case drop can fall under a single linguistic generalization of information structure. However, the supporting data is not empirically substantiated and the tenability of the f-structure analysis is still under question. In this paper, an experiment was conducted to show that the specific claims of Kwon and Zribi-Hertz's analysis that places exclusive importance on information structure cannot be adequately supported by empirical evidence. In addition, the present study examines H. Lee's (2006a, 2006c) multi-factor analysis of object case drop and investigates whether this approach can subsume both subject and object case drop under a unified analysis. The present findings indicate that the multi-factor analysis that involves the interaction of independent factors (Focus, Animacy, and Definiteness) is also compatible with subject case drop, and that judgments on case drop are not categorical but form gradient statistical preferences.

  • Most of the architecture is constructed in cities. Urbanism or network, occurring in contemporary society, has changed the concept of space. For this reason, many architects now focus on the changes of the relationship between architecture and cities and the changes of modern life styles. Therefore, it is necessary for architecture, not to mention architects, to find out new design methods that are able to respond to the changes. This study starts form the thought that MVRDV, the group of architects in the Netherlands, makes a design in the process, connected with contemporary society, cities, informations, and techniques. The purpose of this study is that bring to light the MVRDV's way to design, datascape, as a new design method.

  • This study analyzed the works, introduced in the collections of Yohji Yamamoto in an aim to identify traditional aesthetic and design concepts. As the data to study the concept and expression of the designer, fashion photographs were gathered in a focus on collections since 1990's. The traditional aesthetic expressed in the works of Yohji Yamamoto were characterized by the external aesthetics and the internal aesthetics. The traditional aesthetic of external aesthetics were classified into the plasticity and the wearing, and those of internal aesthetics were divided into the moderation, expertness and aesthetic exclusion. The plasticity was extracted into line, form and color. The wearing was presented artist of purpose through the mutual text. The moderation was based on the moral goodness and the aesthetical beauty. The expertness represented the fitting method and mutual reaction of color. through the natural beauty. The aesthetic exclusion was expressed through simplicity, loftiness, and unbalance.

  • The purpose of paper is to examine about Street Furniture in swimming beach. The beach space is the very important place not only to spend in season but also to use 4-seasons in leisure culture. To offer better landscape in spacial beach; Gyeongpo, Naksan, Mangsang, Samcheok and Sokcho, such as regional atmosphere and identification are to analyze with design criteria. For the amenity of users through the improvement of landscape may be possible to work out future of beach surroundings. Accordingly material, form and color can be estimated systematically. This research suggests that design of street furniture is to be environmental and regional control. As a result, some proposal of Street Furniture by analysis, designer and officer have to focus on establishing a comprehensive plan for the attractive beach space.

  • In this paper, we focus on maximizing weighted sum energy efficiency (EE) for a multi-cell multi-user channel. In order to solve this non-convex problem, we first decompose the original problem into a sequence of parallel subproblems which can optimized separately. For each subproblem, a base station employs dirty paper coding to maximize the EE for users within a cell while regulating interference induced to other cells. Since each subproblem can be transformed to a convex multiple-access channel problem, the proposed method provides a closed-form solution for power allocation. Then, based on the derived optimal covariance matrix for each subproblem, a local optimal solution is obtained to maximize the sum EE. Finally, simulation results show that our algorithm based on non-linear precoding achieves about 20 percent performance gains over the conventional linear precoding method.

  • One of the interesting trends in genome research is the study about epigenetic modification above single gene level. Epigenetics refers study about heritable change in the genome, which accompany modification in DNA or Chromatin besides DNA sequence alteration. We used to have the idea that the coding potential of the genome lies within the arrangement of the four bases A, T, G, C; However, additional information that affects phenotype is stored in the distribution of the modified base 5-methylcytosine. This form of information storage is flexible enough to be adapted for different somatic cell types, yet is stable enough to be retained during mitosis and/or meiosis. Epigenetic modification is a modification of the genome, as opposed to being part of the genome, so is known as "epigenetics"(Greek for "upon" genetics). This modification could be methylation on Cytosine base or post translational modification on histone protein(methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation, Sumoylation)($Dimitrijevi\hat{E}$ et al 2005). In this review, we would like to focus on the relationship of DNA methylation and cancer.

  • The identification of unusual observations such as outliers and high leverage points has drawn a great deal of attention for many years. Most of these identifications techniques are based on case deletion that focuses more on the outliers than the high leverage points. But residuals together with leverage values may cause masking and swamping for which a good number of unusual observations remain undetected in the presence of multiple outliers and multiple high leverage points. In this paper we propose a new procedure to identify outliers and high leverage points simultaneously. We suggest an additive form of the residuals and the leverages that gives almost an equal focus on outliers and leverages. We analyzed several well-referred data set and discover few outliers and high leverage points that were undetected by the existing diagnostic techniques.

  • Synapses and neural circuits form with exquisite specificity during brain development to allow the precise and appropriate flow of neural information. Although this property of synapses and neural circuits has been extensively investigated for more than a century, molecular mechanisms underlying this property are only recently being unveiled. Recent studies highlight several classes of cell-surface proteins as organizing hubs in building structural and functional architectures of specific synapses and neural circuits. In the present minireview, we discuss recent findings on various synapse organizers that confer the distinct properties of specific synapse types and neural circuit architectures in mammalian brains, with a particular focus on the hippocampus and cerebellum.
