전파무향실용 페라이트 전파흡수체의 설계 (A Design of Ferrite Electromagnetic Wave Absorber for Anechoic Chamber)

  • Electromagnetic wave absorbers for anechoic chamber are needed to broaden the useful frequency bandwidth, reduce the thickness, and decrease the weight. There are various absorbers proposed for the above conditions, but they could not decisively solve it the alone requirements. The Electromagnetic wave absorber made by a conventional ferrite tile has, for example, broadened the useful frequency bandwidth by the way of forming air layer(practically use urethane foam, etc.) on the ferrite tile. Therefore, an air layer is formed between a reflection plate and a sintered Ni-Zn ferrite tile of 7 mm in thickness, which has reflectivity less than -20 dB from 30 MHz to 600 MHz in bandwidth. Accordingly, in this paper, a broadened electromagnetic wave absorber will be designed, which has the reflection characteristics less than -20 dB from 30 MHz to 6000 MHz in the bandwidth. Then we will design a super broadband electromagnetic wave absorber by inserting square Ferrite Cylinders Type with the thickness less than 11 m and with the frequency band from 30 MHz to 6000 MHz under the above tolerance limits. The purpose of this research is on the development of a universal anechoic chamber for measuring radiated electromagnetic wave or immunity of electronic equipments, GTEM-cell, wall material for prevention TV ghost, etc.

  • A new rapid prototyping process, as a transfer type of Variable Lamination Manufacturing by using expandable polystyrene foam (VLM-ST), has been developed to reduce building time, apparatus cost including the introduction and the maintenance and additional post-processing. The objective of this study is to propose a VLM-ST process and to develop an apparatus for implementation of the process. Design criteria of the apparatus were defined and the techniques were proposed to satisfy the design criterion. In order to examine the efficiency and applicability of the developed process, various three-dimensional shapes, such as a world-cup logo, a knob shape and a character, Son-o-kong, were fabricated on the apparatus in which unit shape layer (USL) was generated to build up each layer.

  • According to the rapid development of the electric industry, the demand of the frequency allocation and the usage of electromagnetic wave are increased due to automation of modem society. Electromagnetic wave absorbers for anechoic chamber are needed to broaden the effective frequency bandwidth, reduce the thickness, and decrease the weight. There are various absorbers proposed for the above conditions, but they could not decisively solve the above requirements. The Electromagnetic wave absorber made by a conventional ferrite tile has, for example, broadened the effective frequency bandwidth by the way of forming air layer(practically in urethane foam, etc.) on the ferrite tile. Therefore, an air layer is formed between a reflection plate and a sintered Ni-Zn ferrite tile of 7 mm in thickness, which has reflectivity less than -20 dB from 30 MHz to 400 MHz in bandwidth. In this paper, a broadband electromagnetic wave absorber are designed, which has the reflection characteristics less than -20 dB from 30 MHz to 8,000 MHz in the bandwidth. A super broadband electromagnetic wave absorber is achieved by inserting square Ferrite Cylinders Type with the thickness less than 23.5 mm and with the frequency band from 30 MHz to 8,000 MHz under the above tolerance limits. The purpose of this research is on the development of a universal anechoic chamber for measuring radiated electromagnetic wave or immunity of electronic equipments, GTEM-cell and also a wall material for preventing TV ghost, etc.

코어백 방식을 이용한 동시사출 성형 공정 최적화 연구 (Optimization of Multi-component Injection Molding Process Based on Core-back System)

  • Injection molding have been used for manufacturing various fields of automotive interior trims for years. The demands on the injection molding technique are grown with the further development of the automobile technique and the design presentations for cost reduction and environment-friendly. This paper shows that multi-component injection conditions are different from general injection, also shows how to optimize part design and mold design and how to manufacturing through the efficient use of multi-component injection in development process using core back system. To fulfill this purpose, all influential process parameters related to the quality of automobile parts were analyzed in terms of the correlation between them. Base on that, a innovative process will be developed by injection engineers to implement it in practice.

팽창성 혼화제를 이용한 온돌단열용 경량기콘크리트의 제조 및 생산 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Prefoamed Lightweight Cellular Concrete using Expansive Admixture for On-Dol system Floor)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve overall performance of prefoamed lightweight cellular concrete for On-Dol system floor. This study includes 4 sections as follows. \circled1 Analysis of the structural characteristics of On-Dol System focusing on the lightweight cellular concrete insulation layer. \circled2 Establishment of the mixing design equations. \circled3 Development of some admixtures used with foaming agent. \circled4 Improvement of the equipment for onsite production. This study has proven that, compared with the current existing one, the newly developed lightweight cellular concrete has been reduced the usage of cement by 20% and the cracks caused by cement drying shrinkage up to 80% but has shown the increased compression strength by 20% at 7 days curing period. The volume contraction of freshly prepared cellular concrete by the loss of foam was hardly found in newly developed lightweight cellular concrete.

  • In this paper, we proposed a beam tilting microstrip patch array antenna for the reception of satellite signals by using low cost copper etched polyester films and foams. The configuration and coupling mechanism of the proposed antenna are similar to the dipole Yagi-Uda antenna. It is composed of 3 layers of polyester films and three layers of foam. In order to prevent unwanted radiation and coupling loss by microstrip feeding networks and parasitic patches, a stacked layer with rectangular slots above the driver patch array is inserted. The 16${\times}$8 element microstrip Patch way antenna is Presented by experimental results. Its beam patterns are affected by many parameters such as sizes of the patches, gap between the patches. characteristics of the substrates, feeding method, etc. Owing to its complexities of various design parameters, both simulation and experiment were performed. The fabricated antenna received DBS signal from KOREASAT 3 by doing nothing but adjusting azimuth direction.

  • In the developement of LNG cargo, the current concern focuses on the slim design of insulation layer to increase the LNG carrying capacity. Not only thermal stability with BOR(Boil-Off Rate) but structual stability against the LNG weight and the sloshing phenomenon must be also considered. In this paper, we applied the stitched sandwitch composite called the 3X-Board which is stitched through the core thickness direction using glass fiber to the LNG cargo. We evaluated the thermal and structural characteristics of 3X-Board by changing the core thickness and the material, in order to explore a validity for the slim design through the finite element analysis.

  • 수소제조용 SMR(steam methane reforming) 공정에 사용될 수 있는 FeCrAl 다공체의 지지체-촉매의 결합력을 향상시키기 위하여 PEO(plasma electrolytic oxidation)법을 이용하여 FeCrAl 표면에 산화물을 형성시켰다. 열처리, 저전압, 고전압, 전해질 농도 등의 공정 조건에 따른 산화막의 형성 거동 및 형성된 산화물의 상분석 등을 진행하였다. PEO 공정을 이용하여 형성된 산화막은 다른 공정에 의하여 형성된 산화막과 비교할 때 치밀한 특징을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 향후 SMR 공정에 사용될 수 있는 FeCrAl 다공체의 내구성 및 수명 향상에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대되었다.

Preconcentration and Determination of Trace Cd(II) and Pb(II) in a Water Sample by Organic Precipitate Flotation with 8-Hydroxyquinoline

  • An organic precipitate flotation of Cd(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) was investigated by the coprecipitation with lanthanum 8-hydroxyquinolinate. Trace amounts of Cd(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) with a significantly large amount of La(Ⅲ) were simultaneously precipitated in a 1,000 mL sample solution with the ethanolic 8-hydroxyquinoline solution. The pH was adjusted to 9.0 with 2 M ammonia solution. The precipitates were floated with the aid of tiny nitrogen bubbles and supported by the stable foam layer of sodium lauryl sulfate. The floats were collected on the fritted glass filter by a suction. The material collected was dissolved with 5.0 mL of ethanol and 1.5 mL of concentrated nitric acid, and then diluted to 25.0 mL with a deionized water. The analytes were determined by a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The recoveries of the analytes spiked in the sample were 94.8% for Pb(Ⅱ) and 92.0% for Cd(Ⅱ). This flotation technique is simple and rapid, and also applicable to the determination of trace Cd(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) at lew ppb levels.

  • As part of recent low-energy policies, thermal insulation standards for buildings are being tightened every year. In addition, the conventional styrofoam insulating material has a problem that the thickness of the heat insulating material to achieve a standard heat permeability is rapidly increased. Due to the thick insulation, there is a high risk of spreading vulnerable structures such as fire due to lack of space between buildings. On the other hand, the method of using the insulation as a formwork is known to be excellent cost saving effect through the reduction of the formwork usage and the simplification of the external insulation work. In order to solve this problem, this study aims to fabricate a multi-layered insulator that combines high-performance phenolic foam insulation and styrofoam insulation and evaluate the deflection characteristics for use as formwork.
