  • 본 논문에서는 고효율, 저가격의 400W급 태양광 Module Integrated Converter (MIC)를 소개한다. 제안하는 MIC는 Interleaved flyback 토폴로지를 기반으로, 계통 주기 내에서 DCM과 CCM의 모든 동작 영역을 활용할 수 있게 설계되어 도통 손실 및 전력 용량을 개선한다. 또한 새로운 출력 제어 전류 알고리즘을 통해 기존의 Flyback의 CCM 영역에서의 제어문제를 해결하여 개발된 Flyback MIC의 실효성을 획득한다. 최종적으로 400W급 시제품을 제작하여 타당성 검증 및 결과를 제시한다.

  • In this paper, novel three-port active power decoupling (APD) method for applying 250[W] micro-inverter. This type using third port for active power decoupling stores the surplus energy and supplies sufficient energy to grid. Conventional decoupling circuit is applied in single phase grid connected micro-inverter especially single-stage configuration like flyback-type DC-AC inverter. In this passive power decoupling method, electrolytic capacitor with large capacitance is needed for decoupling from constant DC power and instantaneous AC power. However the decoupling capacitor is replaced with film capacitor by using APD, thus the overall system can achieve smaller size and long lifespan. Proposed three-port flyback inverter is verified by design and simulation.

  • In generally, grid connected single-phase flyback inverter is operated as boundary or discontinuous conduction mode. However, the flyback inverter can be operated in continuous conduction mode (CCM) due to its operating conditions in spite of it is designed to operate under boundary or discontinuous conduction mode. This situation causes unintended distortion to output current. In this paper, a current shaping method on unfolding bridge to reduce the output current distortion.

  • A flyback type power converter circuit for switched reluctance motor drives is presented. In this converter circuit, the energy extracted from an off going phase is stored in an additional capacitor. The energy stored is used to either be returned to the source frequently or energize the conducting phase during the conduction interval through the transformer. The additional switch to pass the energy stored in the capacitor to the source or the conducting phase is switched under a relatively low voltage condition. Its switching frequency is relatively high so that the size of the transformer can be reduced. The design guideline for the capacitor and the transformer is described. The effectiveness of the presented converter circuit is compared to other circuits through the analysis and experiment.

  • In this paper, an analysis for leakage inductance of transformer in active clamped flyback inverter is presented. In the active clamp circuit of flyback inverter, the leakage inductance influences on the voltage across the primary switch and the resonant capacitor. Therefore, it is essential to optimize the leakage inductance design. In order to verify the theoretical analysis for the leakage inductance, PSIM simulation is used.

  • The design of a gate driver power supply for a three-phase inverter using a silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET. The requirements for the power supply circuit of the gate driver for the SiC MOSFET are investigated, and a flyback converter using multiple transformers is used to make the four isolated power supplies. The proposed method has the advantage of easily constructing the power supply circuit in a limited space as compared with a multi-output flyback converter using a single core. The power supply circuit for the three-phase SiC MOSFET inverter for driving an AC motor is designed and implemented. The operation and validity of the implemented circuit are verified through simulations and experiments.

  • Ringing during the scan time deteriorates the picture quality of television receiver. By tuning the stray reactance of the flyback transformer(FBT)to harmonics of the retrace pulse, the ringing can be suppressed and this is, what is called, the harmonic tuning methed. But finding the conditions for the ringing to cease in lossy FBT and satisfying these conditions at design stage require much time and experience. In this paper, the conditions for the ringing to cease in loss-included equivalent circuit are derived and a new method, unharmonic-tuning method, is suggested.

  • This paper deals with the active clamp ZVS flyback converter for semiconductor plasma etching system. The proposed converter has the characteristics of the good power facter low switching noise and efficiency improvement. The characteristics are verified through simulation results. Furthermore the ringing effect due to output capacitance of the main switch can be eliminated by use of active clamp circuit.

Family of Isolated Zero Current Transition PWM Converters

  • In this paper a family of zero current transition PWM converters which employs a simple auxiliary circuit is introduced. This soft switched auxiliary circuit is only composed of a switch and a capacitor. The proposed converters are analyzed and various operating modes of the ZCT flyback converter are discussed. Design considerations are presented and the experimental results of the ZCT flyback converter laboratory prototype are illustrated. The experimental results confirm the validity of theoretical analysis.

  • The conducted differential mode (DM) EMI in a flyback converter are analyzed. Circuit modeling of passive components and PCB pattern for the EMI simulation are presented. Using the model, high frequency noise path is analyzed. The analyses are verified with simulations by identifying the peakings of the EMI pattern.
