오리피스 유량계의 헌팅 원인과 영향인자에 관한 해석적 연구 (The Numerical Analysis about the Hunting Factors of the Orifice Meter)

  • Generally, the flow hunting is observed in almost all of the orifice meters but the intensity of the flow hunting is different at each metering system. So, we were getting some Questions as follows; why such a difference occurs and whether it influence to metering error rate or not. To investigate the flow hunting characteristics, we are trying to examine the flow characteristics around the orifice meter when the transient flow or pressure is generated at after the PCV(Pressure Control Valve) by 3D CFD method. And we have compared numerical results with experimental results at M - PCV station in order to clarify the relations with both the metering-pipeline diameter and flow rate. Finally, we can show some major factors influencing to the flow hunting and propose some correcting scheme of the flow hunting equation.

  • 일반적으로 유동헌팅현상은 대부분의 오리피스 유량계에서 관찰되나 유동헌팅의 크기는 각 계량 시스템에 따라 다르다. 이에, 실제 배관계통에서 배관경과 유동의 불안정성, 유동헌팅율간의 영향을 조사하고자 유량계 관경과 유량계 전후단 배관의 직경을 변경하면서 이에 따른 유동의 특성 변화와 헌팅율과의 관계에 대하여 1차원 배관망해석 모델을 구축하고 해석을 수행하였다. 결과적으로, 유량계 배관경과 전후단 배관경의 변화에 따른 차압변화량과 유동헌팅율의 영향을 분석하고 그 상관관계를 규명하였다.

  • 천연가스와 같은 기체유동의 계량에 있어서, 유동헌팅현상은 대부분의 오리피스 유량계에서 관찰되나 유동헌팅의 크기는 각 계량 시스템에 따라 다르다. 이러한 차이가 발생하는 원인과 이것이 과연 유동의 불안정성이나 계량오차와 실제로 연관되는지에 대한 검토를 위해, 선행연구에서 유동헌팅이 발생하는 근본적인 원인과 헌팅을 지배하는 관련인자에 대한 배관망해석 연구를 시행하였다. 이에 연계하여, 본 연구에서는 실제 유동의 불안정성과 헌팅률 간의 상관관계를 규명하고자 전산유체역학적 해석방법을 도입하여 오리피스 유량계를 대상으로 입구 압력변동의 크기, 발생 시간 및 유량에 따른 영향을 검토하고자 하였다. 결과적으로, 압력헌팅이 오리피스 전후방 차압비의 함수임을 증명하였고 3차원 CFD 해석을 통하여 유동헌팅에 영향을 주는 주요인자를 분석하고 상관관계를 규명하였다.

컨버터가 내장된 교류발전기 병렬운전중의 헌팅을 균압선을 이용해 제거하는 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Removing Method of Hunting by Equalizing Line during Parallel Running of alternator Equipped with converter)

  • This paper is a research for removing the alternators hunting which came about during the par-allel running. The four-pole six-phase alternator is equipped with the converter made out of twelve diodes to rectify all the waves. The hunting came about during the battery charging due to the hunting inducing point existed in r. p. m band 1575[rpm-1690[rpm] To remove the hunting inducing point We modified the four-pole six-phase alternator into the four-pole twevel-phase and increased the short-circuit ratio by decreasing the field coil pitch and increasing the field coil turns. But this method has two defects the first the alternator structure becomes complicating and the second the second the alternator equipped with the converter used in general purpose lately such as the car alternator can not be run in parallel wlthout modifying. To remove the defects the equalizing line was connected between the same phase of the alterna-tor to flow the synchronizing current which syncronize the phases of generator electromotive forces by which the alternator can be run in parallel without reference to the hunting inducing point and without modifying.

  • A cost-saving feeding rate contro method for a batch reaction process is proposed by reconfigurating the flow rate control loop where the feeding rate is estimated by differentiating weight measurement. While the existing control methods require either a flow rate measurement device or a flow rate estimator, the proposed method is devised not to require neither of these facilities by directly controlling the tank weight with a time-varying set point. Experimental evaluation in a pilot-scale unit shows that the proposed method can significantly reduce the actuator hunting of the existing method where the flow rate is estimated by differentiating the weight measurement.

차동PWM방식에 의한 유압실린더의 위치제어 (Position Control of a Hydraulic Cylinder by a Differential PWM Method)

  • This study deals with the position control of a hydraulic cylinder system operated by two port 3-way high speed solenoid valve in Pulse-Width-Modulation mode, instead of using conventional electro-hydraulic servovalve. Due to the complexity and the relatively poor reliability of the servovalve, an actuator using simpler and more study high speed solenoid valve will be presented. The high speed solenoid valve acts as converters of electronic pulse signal to hydraulic ones. It has been pointed out that there are practical problems to be solved in the PWM system, that is (1) accuracy of positioning control becomes considerably insufficient because the system is affected by on/off action of the solenoid valves, and (2) serious nonlinerality appears in the valve characteristics as a result of the switching behavior of the valves. As a method to overcome these defects, the differential PWM driving method of a hydraulic cylinder that improved the steady-state-error, flow rate nonlinearity in simple PWM, and the hydraulic hunting of dead time compensated-PWM driving is proposed in this study.

증발기 과열도제어에 따른 냉동장치의 동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of a Refrigeration System by Controlling the Evaporator Superheat)

  • An experimental study was performed for the analysis of dynamic characteristics of refrigeration system by controlling the evaporator superheat. Experimental data have been taken utilizing two different devices, thermostatic expansion valve(T.E.V.) and electronic expansion valve(E.E.V.), for the control of the evaporator superheat. The ranges of parameters, such as superheat, mass flow rate of refrigerant and inlet temperature of evaporator were 5-30.deg. C 90-170 kg/h and 10-25.deg. C, respectively. The data taken from the T.E.v.and E.E.v.were discussed with the control of the superheat, pressure drop, refrigerating capacity, compression work, evaporating temperature, condensing temperature and COP affecting performance characteristics of refrigeration system. In case of the refrigerant flow control with T.E..V., the superheat and pressure drop of the evaporator varied periodically, but the control with E.E.V., the parameters were very stable. In E.E.v.control, refrigerating capacity, compression work and evaporating temperature were decreased with increasing superheat, and the highest COP was obtained in the range of superheat from 5.deg. C to 15.deg. C.

전자(電子) 팽창밸브를 이용(利用)한 증발기(蒸發器)의 냉매(冷媒) 流量(유량) 제어(制御) 및 과열도(過熱度) 특성(特性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Study on Control of Refrigerant Flow Rate and Characteristics of Superheat in Evaporator using Electronic Expansion Valve)

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the characteristics of refrigerant flow rate control and superheat in an evaporator with an electronic expansion valve(EEV). The EEV used in this study was devised using a needle valve coupled with a stepping motor controlled by a personal computer. A Pill control equation was used to control the superheat of the evaporator and to set the superheat to $5^{\circ}C$. In order to determine an optimum running condition for the system, Pill parameters were varied for the wide range of values. The running condition of an air conditioning system with a PI control was reasonably stable compared with that of the Pill control. Experimental results for the PI control using parameter values, $K_p=1.5$, $T_i=400(sec)$ and $T_s=6(sec)$ show that the superheat reached its target value. When external disturbances were introduced to the system, the superheat target value was reached within about 3 minutes. When the EEV was applied to the air conditioning system driven by an inverter, room temperature control was excellent.

트랙터의 전자유압식(電子油壓式) 히치 제어(制御) 시스템에 관한 연구(硏究)(II) -견인력제어(牽引力制御)- (Electronic-hydraulic Hitch Control System for Agricultural Tractor -Draft Control-)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an electronic-hydraulic draft control system for tractor implements, to investigate the control performance of the system and the possibility of adaptation to the conventional tractor. Experiments were carried out to investigate the responses of the system to the step and sinusoidal inputs in draft control. The effects of control mode, hydraulic flow rate, reference deadband, and proportional constant on control performance of the system were investigated. Moreover, the effects of filtering signals from draft sensor were also investigated. The following conclusions were derived from the study; 1. In draft control, there were hunting problems in controlling the implement without filtering the draft signals. Filtering was performed by a control program of electronic controller and the control performance and stability of the system were improved significantly. 2. For the draft control system operated on on-off control mode, draft was controlled within ${\pm}27-{\pm}55kg_f$ to the reference draft when the hydraulic flow rates were 5-15 l/min. For the draft control system operated on PWM control, draft was controlled within ${\pm}27kg_f$ to the reference draft regardless of hydraulic flow rates. 3. In the frequency responses of the draft control system, control performance on PWM control mode was not better than on on-off control mode because of characteristics of hydraulic valve and drafe sensor. As the hydraulic flow rates increased for the system operated on on-off control mode, the corner frequency of amplitude attenuation increased, but the corner frequency of phase-angle change remained nearly the same. But, the system was unstable beyond the frequency of 3.1 rad/s. 4. The electronic-hydraulic hitch control system developed in this study showed superior control performance, stability and convenience compared to conventional mechanical-hydraulic hitch control system. It is considered to be a superior replacement for the conventional mechanical-hydraulic hitch control system.
