대학생 대상 급식시설의 김밥 생산과정에 따른 계절별 미생물적 품질평가 (The Seasonal Microbiological Quality Assessment of Kimbap(seaweed roll) Production flow in Foodservice facilities for Univ. students - HACCP model -)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the microbiological quality of, and to assure the hygienic safety of, the kimbap production in the university foodservice facilities in accordance with the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Program. The time-temperature relationship and the microbiological quality (specifically, total plate count and coliform bacteria count) were assessed to find the critical control point (CCP) during each of the production phases. The average of the daily longest duration time of the kimbap at the facilities was 23.4 hours in summer, while 29.6 hours in winter. In the purchasing phase of the raw materials, the microbiological quality of laver, fish paste, carrot and cucumber in summer was not at an acceptable level according to the standard set by the Natick research center, especially the number of TPC and the coliform level of laver was higher than the threshold level. In the refrigerator storage phase, the temperature of the carrot was 7.4$^{\circ}C$. This temperature is far exceeding the standard so that the microbiological counts was increased by the 2 log cycle during the average storage time of 17 hours or more. In the preparation phase, the temperature of the blanching is too low compared to the standard. In the holding phase before serving, its time-temperature relationship was out of the FDA food code standard both in winter and summer. In the sewing phase, the number of microbiological count was higher than the threshold level in summer while that in winter was up to standard. According to the Harrigan and McCance standard, the number of microbiological count of the utensils was higher than the threshold level in summer while that in winter was up to standard.

Experimental Method for Durability Evaluation of a Chisel Mounted on a Composite Working Implement

  • Purpose: A chisel mounted on working implement, such as agricultural machinery used in irregular farming conditions, is subjected to highly variable fatigue loading during work. To ensure the safety of the chisel on a working implement for the duration of its service life, fatigue testing must be performed with the proper fatigue test load conditions. In this study, working loads for a chisel were developed by reconstructing loads from strain gage data collected during field tests and used to conduct fatigue tests on the chisel component. Methods: FE analysis with nCode software was utilized to select the proper quantity and locations of strain gages for load measurements. A fatigue test was performed to experimentally verify the fatigue strength of the chisel and to evaluate the validity of the load history developed with the load reconstruction technique. Results: A strain history for the chisel was obtained from data collected during field tests. The data was filtered for the 14-16 km/h speed range, connected, and merged. The chisel load history was developed using the load reconstruction technique. The resulting load history was expressed as a load spectrum using the rain-flow counting method. Conclusions: A fatigue test was conducted on a chisel under a constant load condition with an equivalent load amplitude and number of cycles, as calculated by Miner's Rule for linear damage accumulation. During the fatigue test, there were no cracks at any position. It is concluded that the fatigue test method proposed in this study can be utilized successfully as a durability evaluation method for the chisel.

오렌지향과 valeric acid향에 대한 뇌파와 자율신경계반응에 나타난 후각 감성 (Differences of EEG and autonomic responses between olfactory stimuli with orange and valeric acid in human)

  • The present study was designed to investigate whether there is a consistint changes in the signals from the central and autonomic nervous systim due to olfactory stimulation. The olfactory stimuli were 0.6% orange and 2.5% valeric acid and the stimuli through the olfactory stimulator soth controlled consistint flow, controlled concentration, and saturated with vapour to prevent drying the nasal mucosa. A room air blunk served as the control stimulus, EEG was recorede from 4channels according to the international 10-20 systim. Additionally, ECG, EOG, heart rate, skin conductance and resputation were recorded comtinuously. The fast Fourier transform analysis of EEG waves was analysed with the power spectra. Averaged power spectra were computed for the following frequency bands ; delta(0-4.5Hz), theta (4.5-7Hz), alphal(7-9.5Hz), alpha2 (9.5-12.5Hz) and beta(12.5-30Hz). Withthe results of the subjective sensibility test for the ordor, the orange was related to pleasant and familiar and the valeric acid was realted to snpleasant and bothersome. There is the difference between orange and valeric acid in alphal at PG2-A2 channel. While the unpleasant stimuli seem to be increased in alphal, alpha2 and beta waves at all channels. Also, the heart rate, galvaric skin resistance seem to be decreased by pleasant stimuli and thd unpleasant stimuli shdwed the opposite. In respiration, respiration rate had been declinig tendency, and input/output ampoitued and duration showed an upward trend by olfactory stimulation with orange, while opposite by valeric acid. In conclusion, the consistent EEG changes and the autonomic responses suggests the possibilities of the subjective signal of human sensibility.

유비쿼터스 홈 네트워크 시스템에서 은닉 마르코프 모델을 이용한 사용자 행동 상태 분석 및 예측 알고리즘 (Analysis and Prediction Algorithms on the State of User's Action Using the Hidden Markov Model in a Ubiquitous Home Network System)

  • 본 논문은 유비쿼터스 홈 네트워크 시스템에서 저장된 사용자 행동 프로파일 데이터에 은닉 마르코프 모델에 적용하여 사용자의 행동 상태를 예측하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 은닉 마르코프 모델은, 순차 데이터를 갖는 패턴을 인식하기 위해서 데이터에 내포되어 있는 시간성을 적절히 표현하고, 그것으로부터 원하는 정보를 추론할 수 있는 대표적인 모델이다. 제안 알고리즘에서는 "행동 인지 시스템(Activity Recognition System)"에 의하여 저장된 행동 발생 횟수, 행동 지속시간, 행동이 발생된 위치 데이터를 학습 데이터로 이용하였다. 사용자의 행동에 가중치를 부여하여 사용자의 행동에 대한 흥미를 객관적으로 수식화 하는 방법을 제안하였으며 은닉 마르코프 모델을 이용하여 시간에 따른 가중치 변화를 구하여 사용자의 행동 상태 변화를 예측하였다. 제안 알고리즘은 현실적인 유비쿼터스 홈 네트워크 구축에 도움을 준다.

  • 효율적인 PPLN 제작을 위하여 DC 전계를 인가하면서 $LiNbO_3$에 인가되는 전압 및 전류를 실시간으로 측정할 수 있는 실험 장치를 제안하였다. 제안된 실험 장치를 사용함으로써 PPLN의 분극반전에 필요한 충분한 전하량을 공급하기 위한 전계인가시간을 수초 단위로 증가시킬 수 있어 $LiNbO_3$에 주입되는 전하량의 조절을 용이하게 할 수 있었다. 또한 PPLN의 분극반전 과정을 단계별로 분류하고 각 단계별 실험결과를 바탕으로 분석함으로써 최적의 PPLN 제작조건을 구할 수 있었다.

망간사화된 모래여과지 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Operation of Sand Filters Coated with Manganese)

  • 여과공정에서 망간제거특성을 고찰하기 위하여 모래, 망간사 등의 4가지 여재를 사용한 여과실험이 실시되었다. 여과속도는 123 m/d였고, 칼럼당 유입량은 $3.9m^3/d$이었다. 실험기간은 약 1년이었으며, 실험기간 동안 여재별로 이산화망간 부착량, 탁도제거율, 망간제거율, 유기물제거율 등을 고찰하였다. 평균 망간농도 0.208 mg/L의 여과지 유입수(잔류염소 1.0 mg/L)를 사용하여 여과실험한 결과 모래+망간사 칼럼은 98.9%, 망간사칼럼은 99.2%의 망간제거율을 보였다. 기존 모래여과지를 망간제거를 위해 사용할 경우 여층의 전부를 망간사로 교체하지 않고 일부만 교체하여도 망간제거에 충분한 효과가 나타나는 것으로 조사되었다.

Ultrafiltration of oil-in-water emulsion: Analysis of fouling mechanism

  • Membrane fouling is one of the major operational concerns of membrane processes which results in loss of productivity. This paper investigates the ultrafiltration (UF) results of synthetic oil-in-water (o/w) emulsion using flat sheets of polysulfone (PSf) membrane synthesized with four different compositions. The aim is to identify the mechanisms responsible for the observed permeate flux reduction with time for different PSf membranes. The experiments were carried out at four transmembrane pressures i.e., 68.9 kPa, 103.4 kPa, 137.9 kPa and 172.4 kPa. Three initial oil concentrations i.e., 75 $mgL^{-1}$, 100 $mgL^{-1}$ and 200 $mgL^{-1}$ were considered. The resistance-in-series (RIS) model was applied to interpret the data and on that basis, the individual resistances were evaluated. The significances of these resistances were studied in relation to parameters, namely, transmembrane pressure and initial oil concentration. The total resistance to permeate flow is found to increase with increase in both transmembrane pressure and initial oil concentration while for higher oil concentration, resistance due to concentration polarization is found to be the prevailing resistance. The applicability of the constant pressure filtration models to the experimental data was also tested to explain the blocking process. The study shows that intermediate pore blocking is the dominant mechanism at the initial period of UF while in the later period, the fouling process is found to approach cake filtration like mechanism. However, the duration of pore blocking mechanism is different for different membranes depending on their morphological and permeation properties.

Amelioration of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis by Ishige okamurae

  • Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) is a T-cell-mediated autoimmune central nervous system disease characterized by inflammation with oxidative stress. The aim of this study was to evaluate an anti-inflammatory effect of Ishige okamurae on EAE-induced paralysis in rats. An ethanolic extract of I. okamurae significantly delayed the first onset and reduced the duration and severity of hind-limb paralysis. The neuropathological and immunohistochemical findings in the spinal cord were in agreement with these clinical results. T-cell proliferation assay revealed that the ethyl-acetate fraction of I. okamurae suppressed the proliferation of myelin basic protein reactive T cells from EAE affected rats. Flow cytometric analysis showed $TCR{\alpha}{\beta}^+$ T cells was significantly reduced in the spleen of EAE rats with I. okamurae treatment with concurrent decrease of inflammatory mediators including tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ and cyclooxygenase-2. Collectively, it is postulated that I. okamurae ameliorates EAE paralysis with suppression of T-cell proliferation as well as decrease of pro-inflammatory mediators as far as rat EAE is concerned.

풍화계열 사면의 불포화 함수특성곡선 이력이 강우 침투에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hysteresis on Soil-Water Characteristic Curve in Weathered Granite and Gneiss Soil Slopes during Rainfall Infiltration)

  • 풍화 사면은 지속적인 강우로 인하여 얕은층에서 파괴가 일어나고 있다. 이러한 파괴들은 주로 강우 침투로 지표면에서의 습윤대의 형성과 이로 인한 흡수력의 감소에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 풍화사면인 화강 풍화토 및 편마풍화토에 대한 함수특성곡선의 건조-습윤 이력과 선행강우 조건을 활용하여 시간에 따른 불포화 침투 해석을 인공적인 강우 강도와 지속시간을 설정하여 실시하였다. 그 결과 풍화 사면의 불포화 침투는 깊이별로 선행 강우에 의한 초기 흡수력과 이력에 따른 불포화 투수계수에 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 화강풍화토가 편마풍화토 보다 상대적으로 작은 공기 함입값, 잔류 흡수력, 그리고 습윤 전면 흡수력을 가지고 있으며 이력 loop가 작아서 침투에 대한 흡수력의 변화 반응이 매우 빠름을 확인할 수 있었다.

기후변화에 따른 홍천강 유역의 수질 변화 분석 (Water Quality Analysis of Hongcheon River Basin Under Climate Change)

  • 기후변화로 인한 영향은 한반도뿐만 아니라 전 지구적으로 관찰되고 있다. 지난 100년간(1911 ~ 2010년) 전 지구적으로 $0.75^{\circ}C$가 상승한 반면, 한반도의 평균기온은 약 $1.5^{\circ}C$가 상승하였다. IPCC(Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change)에서 발간한 5차 기술보고서에 수온의 증가와 홍수 및 가뭄을 포함하는 극한 수문 사상의 변화는 수질에 영향을 미쳐 여러 가지 형태의 수질 오염을 보다 악화시킬 것으로 전망되고 있다(KMA and MOLIT, 2009). 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 강원도 북한강에 위치한 홍천강 유역의 수질 변화를 분석하기 위하여 기후변화 시나리오 자료를 적용하여 미래유량을 각 목표 기간별로(Obs : 2001 ~ 2010년, Target I : 2011 ~ 2040년, Target II : 2041 ~ 2070년, Target III : 2071 ~ 2100년) 산정하였다. 또한, 수질 변화를 예측하기 위하여 미래유량을 토대로 유황분석을 시행한 후 다중회귀분석모형과 인공신경망모형을 통해 미래 수질변화를 분석하였다. 홍천강 유역의 수질예측 결과, 21세기 말 여름철에 생물학적 산소요구량, 화학적 산소요구량, 부유물질이 최대 16%, 13%, 15% 증가할 것으로 예측되어, 지속적이며 장기적인 수질 모니터링과 관리가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 본 연구에서 사용한 기후자료뿐만 아니라 사회적 시나리오를 고려한다면 보다 신뢰성 있는 미래 수질 모의가 이루어질 것으로 판단된다.
