플랫 플레이트 구조의 기둥.슬래브 접합부 연성에 관한 연구 (Ductility of Column-Slab eoint in R/C Flat Plate System)

  • The R/C flat plate system provides architectural flexibility, clear space, reduced building height, simple formwork, which consequently enhance constructibility. One of the serious problems in the flat plate system is brittle punching shear failure due to transfer of shear force and unbalanced moments in column-slab joint. Recently, the flat plate system accompanied with shear walls to resist the lateral loads is applied to high-rise buidings. Although the flat plate system is not considered in design as part of the lateral load-resisting system, it is required that this system keeps the ductile behavior for the lateral displacement of the building. However, it is unclear whether the column-slab joint possesses ductility enough to survive the lateral deformation. The objective of this paper is to investigate the major parameters that influence the ductility of R/C flat plate system by examining the existing experiments on column-slab joint. The effects of gravity load and shear reinforcement on the ductility of the flat plate system are presented.

  • Recently the construction of high-rise hybrid type building is progressively increased as the social demands. It is significantly important factors such as economy, the safety of structure, and the flexibility of internal space. Therefore new hybrid structural system, using slim flat plate system, is also required to be attained the reduction of story height, the flexibility and efficient use of space. The most suitable structural system is ,with the economy and flexibility, flat plate system in high-rise hybrid type building. But it was focused in the seismic performance for high performance flat plate system in high-rise hybrid type building. Therefore, in the study, to develop the new flat-plate system with high ductile, durable, good performance for the applications. It was evaluated the seismic performance in the critical region of slab-column connection. And then high performance flat plate system, designed by the economy and safety, was developed as a new technique in the application of high-rise hybrid type building.

Development of an AutoFlat program for the acquisition of effective flat images in the automated observation system

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an observation program for obtaining effective flat images that are necessary for photometric observation. The development of the program was achieved by improving the existing method for obtaining twilight flat images. The existing method for obtaining twilight flat images acquires flat images by observing the sky light after sunset or light before sunrise. The decision of when to observe flat images at each night is solely dependent on the judgment of an observer, and thus the obtained flat images for particular nights may not be clean. Especially, in the case of the observatories where an automated observation system is in operation, there is a difficulty that an observer should pay attention during sunrise and sunset in order to obtain flat images. In this study, a computer program is developed to improve this inconvenience and to efficiently perform photometric observation in the observatories where an automated observation system is applied. This program can obtain flat images by calculating the time for obtaining flat images automatically and the exposure time using a numerically calculated function. When obtaining twilight flat images at dusk and at dawn, the developed program performs automated observation and provides effective flat images by acquiring appropriate exposure time considering the sunrise and sunset times that vary depending on the day of observation. The code for performing this task was added to Obs Tool II (Yoon et al. 2006), which is the automated observation system of the Chungbuk National University Observatory, and the usefulness of the developed program was examined by performing an actual automated observation. If this program is applied to other observatories where automated observation is in operation, it is expected that stable and high-quality flat images could be obtained, which can be used for the pre-processing of photometric observation data.

  • West coast of Korea belongs to the five largest tidal-flat zones in the world. Aiming at the efficient management and preservation of the eco-system and the enhancement of the bio-productivity of the tidal-flat zones, development of a environment-friendly vehicle for tidal-flat area is being attempted. This paper deals with the description of the characteristics of the tidal-flat zones of west coast of Korea, the technology assessment of the related products in the ATV(All-Terrain Vehicle) market, the demand assessment for the resident people.

Flat TDR 시스템을 이용한 흙의 함수비와 건조단위중량 측정 (Water Content and Dry Density Measurement of Soil Using Flat TDR System)

  • 본 연구는 전통적인 다짐관리방법의 문제점을 보완하고자 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry)을 이용하여 지반의 함수비와 건조단위중량을 측정하는 연구를 수행하였다. 개발된 Flat TDR 시스템의 측정값을 검증하기 위해 여섯 가지 시료를 대상으로 실내실험을 수행하였다. 또한 실내실험을 바탕으로 현장시험을 수행하여 현장 적용성을 검토하였고, 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 Purdue TDR 시스템과 비교실험을 수행하여 정밀도를 확인하였다. 또한 유한요소해석을 수행하여 Flat 프로브의 영향범위를 확인하였다. 그 결과 약 10cm의 영향범위를 확인하였고, 실내실험결과 함수비는 평균적으로 약 0.4%의 오차를 보이며, 건조단위중량의 경우 약 1.6%의 오차를 보였다. 현장시험의 경우 함수비는 0.8%, 건조단위중량의 경우 2.5%의 오차를 보였다. 실험 결과를 통하여 Flat TDR 시스템의 측정값은 기존의 TDR 시스템보다 정확한 값을 도출하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

무량판 슬래브와 H형강 기둥 접합부 상세 개발 (Development for Connection Details between Flat Plate Slab and H-Steel Column)

  • The flat plate slab system have many good features, which are design flexibilities, saving of story-height and economy of construction etc. But the study of flat plate slab system for H-steel column have been rare both at home and abroad. Recently high-rise residential and commercial buildings have been constructed in urban areas in Korea. The suggested dowel connection system is more likely to adoptable because it remarkably contribute to save inter story height and also to have many advantages compared with conventional steel works such as H-Steel frame + Deck plate slab system. This study aims at developing design method and program for connection between H-Steel column and flat plate slab system, which contribute to save significantly inter-story height.

태양전지 최대전력 발생을 위한 다 평면 반사경 태양추적시스템 개발 (Development of Multi-flat Reflector Sun Tracking System for Sun Photocell Maximum Power Generation)

  • Recently, photovoltaic generator system is widely extended by energy policy of the government. Add to this, for high efficiency of power generation per natural light unit area is needed to sun tracking system. And it is needed to condensed light generator for reducer of equipment expense. As method of solving this problem, this paper is developed multi-flat reflector sun tracking system for sun photocell maximum power generation. The system is consisted of multi-flat reflector and two axes machinery and sun location perceiver and AVR controller. GaAs 3J cell generated 6.75 times power more than silicon cell by times condensing light system. As a result, condensing light system of multi-flat reflector generated maximum power and showed reducing costs to photovoltaic generator.

Detection of the morphologic change on tidal flat using intertidal DEMs

  • The objective of this study is to detect a inter-tidal topographic change in a decade. Waterline extraction is a one of widely used method to generate digital elevation model (DEM) of tidal flat using multi-temporal optical data. This method has been well known that it is possible to construct detailed topographic relief of tidal flat using waterlines In this study, we generated two sets of tidal flat DEM for the southern Ganghwado. The DEMs showed that the Yeongjongdo northern tidal flat is relatively high elevation with steep gradients. The Ganghwado southern tidal flat is relatively low elevation and gentle gradients. To detect the morphologic change of tidal flat during a decade, we compared between early 1990's DEM and early 2000's DEM. Erosion during a decade is dominant at the west of southern Ganghwado tidal flat, while sedimentation is dominant at the wide channel between the southern Ganghwado and Yeongjongdo tidal flats. This area has been commonly affected by high current and sedimentation energy. Although we are not able to verify the accuracy of the changes in topography and absolute volume of sediments, this result shows that DEM using waterline extraction method is an effective tool for long term topographic change estimation.

  • Recently, post tension flat plate slab system is widely used for a new slab structural system. Slab-column connections may fail in brittle manner by punching shear. Flat plate slabs have been widely used for gravity load resisting system in buildings. Lateral resistance usually provided by shear walls or moment resisting frames. Since plat plates move together with lateral loading system during earthquake or wind, it is important to evaluate the gravity resistance under a drift experienced by lateral force resisting system during either design earthquake or wind. Thus, this study investigated post tension flat plate slab systems whether they have sufficient strength and deformability to resist gravity loads during specified drift levels. Experimental research was carried out.

  • In this paper, the effects of vehicle loads on flat slab system are investigated based on the previous studies on beam-girder parking structural system. The influence surfaces of flat slab for typical design section are determined for the purpose of obtaining member forces under vehicle loads. In addition, the equivalent vehicle load factors for flat slab parking structures are suggested using neural network. It has been found that vehicle load effects of flat slab system are dominant for the center positive moment in both column and middle strip, as like beam-girder parking structural system.
