고온초전도 박막선재용 Ni-$W_{xat.%}$ 및 (Ni-$W_{3at.%}$)-$CU_{xat.%}$ 이축배향 금속 기판들의 자기적 특성 (Magnetic Properties of Both Ni-W and (Ni-3%W)-Cu Textured Substrates for ReBCO Coated Conductor)

  • The magnetic properties of a series of both annealed and as-rolled Ni-$W_y$ alloy tapes with compositions y = 0, 1, 3, and 5 at.%, were studied. To compare with Ni-W alloys, the magnetic properties of a series of both annealed and as-rolled $[Ni_{97at.%}W_{3at.%}]_{100-x}Cu_x$ alloy tapes with compositions x = 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7 at.%, were studied, as well. Both the isothermal mass magnetization M(H) of a series of samples, such as both Ni-W and [Ni-W]-Cu alloy tapes, at different fixed temperatures and M(T) in fixed field, were measured using a PPMS-9 (Quantum Design). The degree of ferromagnetism of Ni-$W_y$ alloys have reduced as W-content y increases. Both the saturation magnetization $M_{sat}$ and Curie temperature $T_c$ decrease linearly with W-content y, and both $M_{sat}$ and $T_c$ go to zero at critical concentration of $y_c$ ~ 9.50 at.% W. The effect of Cu addition on both the saturation magnetization $M_sat$ and Curie temperature $T_c$ decrease linearly with Cu-content x in $[Ni_{97at.%}W_{3at.%}]_{100-x}Cu_x$ alloy tapes with compositions x = 0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 at.%. The results confirm that [Ni-W]-Cu alloy tapes can have much reduced ferromagnetism as Cu-content x increases.

自動自差修正이 가능한 電子컴퍼스의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the Electronic compass for Automatic Correction do Deviation)

  • 本 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스는 3軸磁氣센서와 傾斜角센서, 그리고 光자이로센서로 構成하였으며, 이들 각 센서의 出力特性과 性能 및 自差補正의 精度를 확인한 結果는 다음과 같다. 1) 3軸 磁氣센서의 出力特性은, X軸에서 측정된 磁界는 cos커브, Y軸에서는 -sin 커브, 그리고 Z軸에서는 그 값이 일정하게 나타나고 있어서 3軸 磁氣센서로서의 기능이 충분하다고 사료되며, 이때 出力電壓으로부터 算出된 地磁氣의 水平成分 H와 垂直成分 V는 각각 H=33.2${\mu}$T, V=23.95${\mu}$T였다. 2)光자이로 센서를 電動回轉台에 고정시키고, 시계방향으로 10$^{\circ}$/sec, 20$^{\circ}$/sec, 30$^{\circ}$/sec의 속도로 회전시켰을 때, 光자이로센서의 出力과 回轉角度와의 관계는 모두 일정한 값으로 비례함을 알 수 있다. 3) 補正前 自差는 磁界에 의해 誘導되고 있기 때문에, 최대 -25$^{\circ}$까지 크게 나타나고 있으나, 포와숀 補正法을 이용한 補正後의 자差는 ${\pm}2^{\circ}$ 범위 이내로 補正前에 비하여 自差가 현저히 작게 나타나고 있어서, 이번 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스로 自動自差修正이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

[Pd/Co]5/FeMn 초격자 다층 박막구조에서 수직 자기이방성과 교환바이어스에 관한 연구 (Study of the Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy and Exchange Bias in [Pd/Co]5/FeMn Superlattices)

  • 본 연구에서는 대표적인 수직자기 이방성 물질인 $[Pd/Co]_5$ 초격자 다층박막 구조에서 교환 바이어스 현상을 연구하기 위해 Si/$[Pd/Co]_5$/FeMn 구조의 시료를 제작하고, FeMn 층의 두께 변화에 따른 교환바이어스의 변화에 대한 연구를 자기이력곡선의 측정을 통해 수행하였다. 그리고 수직자기 이방성을 최적화하기 위해 Pd의 두께를 1.1 nm로 고정하고 강자성인 Co의 두께 변화에 따른 수직자기이방성 변화를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, FeMn 층이 없을 때 Co의 두께 0.3 nm에서 가장 큰 보자력을 보였다. FeMn 층의 두께를 고정시킨 후 Co의 두께 변화를 관찰하였을 때도 0.3 nm일 때 가장 큰 교환 바이어스가 관찰되었다. FeMn 층의 두께 변화에 대해서는 FeMn 층의 두께가 5 nm일 때 보자력이 가장 크게 나타났으며, 그 이상에서는 일정한 값을 가졌다. FeMn 층의 두께가 3 nm 이하일 때는 교환바이어스 효과가 관찰되지 않았으며, 15 nm가 될 때까지 지속적으로 증가하는 결과를 관찰하였다.

  • An additive servo-system is developed to improve straightness of linear motor stages. For linear motor stages used in the field of high-precision linear motion process, high straightness accuracy is necessary as well as positioning accuracy in the longitudinal axis. In such cases, machining and assembling cost increases to improve the straightness accuracy. An electro-magnetic actuator which is relatively cost effective than any other conventional servo-systems is suggested to compensate the fixed straightness error. To overcome the compensation error due to modeling error and friction disturbance, a sliding mode control is addressed. The effectiveness of the suggested mechanism and the control are illustrated along with some experimental results.

  • Nano-sized Yttrium iron garnet (YIG;$Y_3Fe_5O_{12}$) particles have been synthesized by using coprecipitation and a heat treatment process. The YIG particles were made using a nitrate or a chloride salt solution. The pH concentration of the solution was fixed at 12. Spherical shaped YIG particles were made with a size of about 20 nm. The magnetization value of the particles was smaller than the bulk value but their coercive field showed a high value.

밸브 구동용 개폐식 솔레노이드 액추에이터의 설계 (A Design of On/Off Type Solenoid Actuator for Valve Operation)

  • For a design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating, designer must have the experimental knowledge as well as general electromagnetic formulas to design object. It is possible for theoretical knowledge to do the out-line design, but it is impossible to optimal design without experimental knowledge which only can be achieved through many repeated experiments. In addition, in present on/off type solenoid actuator field, the smaller, lightening, lower consumption power, high response time are effected as the most important design factor. So, experimental knowledge is more needed for optimal design of solenoid actuator. In this study, we derived the governing equations for optimal design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating and developed a design program composed electromagnetic theories and experimental parameter values for inexperienced designers. And we proved the propriety of this program by experiments.

고정 투자율법을 적용한 자계 포화특성 해석에 관한 연구 (Characteristic Analysis of Magnetic Field Saturation using Fined Permeability Method)

  • 고정투자율법이란 (Fixed Permeability Method) 시스템이 자기적으로 포화 상태에 있을 때 각 요소별 동작지점의 투자율을 고정하여 선형적으로 시스템을 재해석하는 방법으로, 본 논문에서는 제안된 고정투자율법을 적용하여 두 가지 이상의 자계원에 의해 포화가 발생할 경우 각각의 영향을 구분 지어 포화시 철심내의 자계 비선형 문제를 해석하였다. 아울러 철심형영구 자석 선형 동기 전동기(PMLSM, Steel-Cored Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor)에서 대전류 인가시 발생하는 철심 포화 특성을 규명하였고 해석의 타당성을 실험값과의 비교를 통해 검증하였다.

소형 초전도 부상자석의 특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of a Small Scale HTSC Levitation Magnet)

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of a small scale $high-T_c$ superconducting(HTSC) levitation system. The levitation tester. which models after electrodynamic suspension(EDS) maglev, consists of one HTSC magnet, a reaction plate, and force measuring components. Instead of moving magnet, AC current was applied to the fixed HTSC magnet. The magnet also has persistent current switch(PCS). The inductance of the magnet was 18.5 mH and total joint resistance of the magnet was $5.74{\times}10^{-7}\Omega$. AC current was applied into the HTSC magnet with various frequencies and the levitation force was calculated and measured. According to the increase of the vehicle speed, the levitation force was saturated.

DLC (ta-C) 후막코팅을 위한 트라이볼로지 코팅 연구 (Tribology Coating Study of Thick DLC (ta-C) Film)

  • In recent years, thick ta-C coating has attracted considerable interest owing to its existing and potential commercial importance in applications such as automobile accessories, drills, and gears. The thickness of the ta-C coating is an important parameter in these applications. However, the biggest problems are achieving efficient coating and uniformity over a large area with high-speed deposition. Feasibility is confirmed for the ta-C coating thickness of up to 9.0 µm (coating speed: 3.0 µm/h, fixed substrate) using a single FCVA cathode. The thickness was determined using multiple coating cycles that were controlled using substrate temperature and residual stresses. In the present research, we have designed a coating system using FCVA plasma and produced enhanced thick ta-C coating. The system uses a specialized magnetic field configuration with stabilized DC arc plasma discharge during deposition. To achieve quality that is acceptable for use in automobile accessories, the magnetic field, T-type filters, and 10 pieces of a multi-cathode are used to demonstrate the deposition of the thick ta-C coating. The results of coating performance indicate that uniformity is ±7.6 , deposited area is 400 mm, and the thickness of the ta-C coating is up to 5.0 µm (coating speed: 0.3 µm/h, revolution and rotation). The hardness of the coating ranges from 30 to 59 GPa, and the adhesion strength level (HF1) ranges from 20 to 60 N, depending on the ta-C coating.

회전실험에서의 다결성 $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$ 초전도체내의 vorterx flux의 거동 (Behavior of the Vortex Flux in a Polycrystalline $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$Superconductor in a Rotational Experiment)

  • Rotational Magnetization-vector measurements have been performed on a polycrystalline $Y_1Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}$ sample in field-cooled condition at 4.2 K. The experimental results show that vortex flux density(B) consists of 3 groups :(1) a weak pinning part ($B_w$) which stays at a fixed angle relative to the magnetic field f(H) ; (2) a strong pining part($B_s$) which rotates rigidly with the sample and has same magnitude with the sample rotation, and(3) and intermediated pining part ($B_i$) which rotates rigidly with the sample, but whose magnitude changes with the sample rotation Our results have been explained in terms of a distribution in the strength of the vortex pinning torque and a repulsive intervortex torque.
