  • $SF_6$ gas has become an important insulation medium in modern electric power apparatus, because of its high insulation withstand levels and good arc quenching capability. For the application of $SF_6$ gas in GIS the estimation of insulation properties is a fundamental point. Moreover the reduction of withstand levels in case of inhomogeneous fields caused by particles or fixed protrusions is of special interest. It is known that the presence of free conducting particles in GIS can significantly lower the insulating level of $SF_6$ gas at elevated pressure and also it has been recently shown that dielectric strength is greatly reduced by fast transients such as disconnector surges where metallic particles are involved. In this paper, we have disigned the particle test chamber rated 362kV for the purpose of investigating the discharge characteristics in SF6 gas where inhomogenius fields are caused by metallic particles.

  • HTS (High Temperature Superconducting) cable termination current lead has been designed based on simplified boundary conditions such as fixed temperature at both end and sdiabatic/convection in the side wall. However, in the real situation the current lead is enclosed with insulators and exposed to insulation oil and L$N_2$. Therefore it is necessary to consider them for the proper current lead design. In this paper, several important design parameters were chosen and their effect on the temperature distribution and heat loads on the current lead has been investigated. It was found that current lead has to be 2 stage to reach the minimum temperature requirement of insulation oil and insulator is required to reduce the cooling capacity of cryogenic system.

사지말초부의 노출과 보온이 인체의 체온조절에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Exposure and Insulation of the Extremities on the Human Thermoregulation)

  • Effects of insulation after exposure of the extremities on the temperature regulation in clothed men were studied. Experiment was carried out with six males in a climatic chamber fixed at $10^{\circ}C$, $55\%$ R.H. treated with Type A (face only was exposed) and Type B (face and half of the extremities were exposed). Mean skin temperature fell greater in Type B due to intense vasoconstriction than in Type A. Rectal temperature rose a little in Type B and resumed in Type A without any significant differences in metabolism between two types of clothing. These findings suggest that Type B is more effective in physiological defense to the cold stimuli than Type A at least at $10^{\circ}C$.

  • 고분자피복재 중 polyethylene은 전기적 절연성 및 내방사선성이 좋으나 난연성이 결여되어 있으므로 이 단점을 개질하였다. 방사선을 이용하여 polyethylene에 여러 종류의 난연제를 고착시켰는데 grafting 방법과 blending후 crosslinking 방법을 사용하였다. 일반적으로 grafting시키는 경우 시료에 난연제가 고착되는 량은 방사선선량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. Grafting 방법으로 polyethylene에 난연제를 고착시킬 때 시료를 팽윤(swelling)시켜서 난연제를 grafting시켜야 한다. Blending 한 후 crosslinking시킨 경우 시료와 난연제의 량을 자유롭게 조절하여 blending하여 crosslinking시킬 수 있는 이질이 있다. 난연제를 고착시키는 2가지 방법중 blending후 crosslinking 시키는 방법이 가장 바람직하다.

새로운 고온백금저항온도계의 설계 및 제작 (Fabrication of a Novel High Temperature Platinum Resistance Thermometer)

  • 합성사파이어 단결정을 센서틀, 절연디스크 및 보호관으로 사용한 새로운 형태의 고온백금저항온도계를 설계, 제작하고 그 특성을 조사하였다. 제작된 온도계를 고정점에서 시험한 결과 국제온도눈금 (ITS-90)에서 규정한 내삽계기용 고온백금저항온도계의 조건을 만족하였으며, $500^{\circ}{\sim}1500^{\circ}C$영역에서 2차식의 온도-저항특성을 보였다. 구리응고점에서의 재현성 측정결과 ${\pm}19.2\;mK$이었다. 온도계의 절연저항은 온도가 상승함에 따라 지수함수적으로 급격히 감소하였으며, 시험최고온도인 $1500^{\circ}C$에서는 $63\;k{\Omega}({\sim}31.5\;mK)$을 보였다.

  • In this paper, we purpose automatic diagnosis in online, as the fundamental study to diagnose the partial discharge mechanism and to predict the lifetime, by introduction a neural network. In the proposed method, Ire use acoustic emission sensing system and calculate a fixed quantity statistic operator by pulse number and amplitude. Using statically operators such as the center of gravity(G) and the gradient of the discharge distribute(C), we analyzed the early stage and the middle stage. the fixed quantity statistic operators are learned by a neural network. The diagnosis of insulation degradation and a lifetime prediction by the early stage time are achieved. On the basis of revealed excellent diagnosis ability through the neural network learning for the patterns during degradation, it was proved that the neural network is appropriate for degradation diagnosis and lifetime prediction in partial discharge.

  • In this study, a new design of an one-body type of an unbalanced-fixed- displacement type vane pump combined with an induction type electric motor was suggested. By the application of the new design scheme, it was possible to reduce the number of parts of the pump system and to cut down the volume of power package than that of already-used products. The case in this study enabled efficient heat transfer and electricity insulation of hydraulic fluid. Thus oil moves through the inside of the package for cooling and returns to the reservoir. Because of this design, it was difficult to measure the shaft-input torque. Therefore the package overall efficiency in the paper was evaluated with a ratio of hydraulic power and electric power.

  • For detecting of the faulty insulator, Correlation Propagation Neural Networks(CPNN) has been proposed. Faulty insulator is reduced the rate of insulation extremely, and taken the results dirty and injured. It is necessary to detect the faulty insulator and exchange the new one. And thus, we have designed the CPNN to be detected that insulators by the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion. In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. Information propagates among neighbor nodes laterally and inter-node interpolation is achieved. 1-D CPNN hardware has been implemented with general purpose. Experiments with static and dynamic signals have been done upon the CPNN hardware. Through the results of simulation experiments, we define the ability of real-time detecting the faulty insulators.

  • Recently, as power transformer capacity is getting larger, vibration noise of transformer would be large and unexpected failuare of transformer give enormous economic loses, So we aquaire vibration signal, which is maked from transformer windings, core that are airtight out box with in insulation oil, and out box. Also we are fixed rated voltage and changing load current, analyize frequency domain of each vibration signals.
