  • This study was undertaken to know the difference that margin fittness in metal bond porcelain crown. When we use porcelain precious metal and non-precious metal as porcelain-fused metal, the results were as following. 1. The precious metal was showed best result in margin fittness and shade. 2. The non-precious metals were showed good results, especially Gemini II was excellent, but that was not good than precious metal. 3. 10k. gold plating on non-precious metal cap showed same result as nonprecious metal in margin fittness, and not good in shade. 4. When we use the non-precious metals at upper part of crown, and using precious metal in 2mm cervical portion, the margin fittness were very good, and the results same as full veneer precious metal.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the fithness, hardness and bending strength of the conventional reliners and visible light curing reliner. Nine regions were selected in the upper transverse section which were thought to be of interest from a clinical standpoint and the discrepancies between the dentures and the master cast in these regions were determined by the coordinated measuring machine(UMM-500, Zeiss, W. Germany). The results were as follows ; 1. The experimental denture bases showed the lowest fittness at the central portion of the posterior palatal border and the intimate contact in the buccal flanges regardless of relining materials and relining methods. 2. The fittness of relined denture base was the best in autopolymerizing group and in the order of long processing, short processing and visible light curing group. 3. The fittness after 24 hour-storage in water was improved in long processing and autopolymerizing groups, but there was no significant difference. 4. The hardness was the highest in long processing group and decreased in the order of short processing, visible light curing and autopolymerizing group. 5. The bending strength was the highest in long processing group and decreased short processing, visible light curing, and aotopolymerzing group in order.

  • The purpose of this study was to find out some of the problems consumers have with ready to wear garments sizing and clothing satisfaction the following women's garments; sweaters T-shirts blouses jackets pants skirts one-piece jumpers and burberry(coats). For this study questionnaires were administered to female students in community college. Employing a sample of 166 students data were analyzed by Frequencies X2-test t-test ANOVA Factor Analysis and Regression. Major results of this study were summerized as follows: 1) Purchasing clothing subjects considered mainly bust circumference for T-shirts and blouse shoulder width for jackets and jumpers hip circumference for pants and skirts and length for sweaters(knit) one-piece and burberry(coats) as a reference of fitting sites. 2) In relation with dissatisfaction with apparel fit hip circumference of pants including jeans was found as the most unsatisfactory site. Besides subjects were dissatisfied with skirts sweaters one-piece jackets blouses burberry(coats) jumpers T-shirts in order. In relateion with height and body type were most dissatisfied with pants(jeans) 3) Factors related to clothing deprivation of ready-to-wear garment were identified as aethetics elements practical elements economic elements and fittness elements. Fittness elements were most dissatisfied factors with all items of garments except for skirts.

  • It is well known that the neural network can be used as an universal approximater for functions and functionals. But these theoretical results are just an existence theorem and do not lead to decide the suitable network structure. This doubfulness whether a certain network can approximate a given function or not, brings about serious stability problems when it is used to identify a system. To overcome the stability problem, We suggest successive identification and control scheme with supervisory controller which always assures the identification process within a basin of attraction of one stable equilibrium point regardless of fittness of the network.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a devided skist Pattern drafting method for Korean Women between the ages of 18$\~$24 on the basis of their physical characteristics which differs from those of other races in its size and figure. The study procednras are as follows : 1, A new devided skirt pattern drafting method is developed based on the results of draping to find the essential measuring items for devided skirt construction, 27 items of KAIST measurement data analysis to establish representative and independent items and fitting tests. 2. To establish fittness and comfort in the new pattern comparing it with in a conventional one, asensory evaluation is applied. According to the statistical analysis of the results of the sensory evaluation, the findings are as followings ; 1. Composite reliability coefficient is 0.68. 2. Qut of 30 items, 25 items for fittness show significant differences (pp$\leqq$0.05, p$\leqq$0.01, P$\leqq$0.001) between the two, with the new pattern better fitted, presenting a pleasing appearance in hormony with the figure and contributing to the wearer's sense of wellbeing. 3. Hip crotch and hem dimensions for comfort show significant differences (p$\leqq$0.05) between the two, with the new pattern more comfortable, but no significant difference is showed between the two in activity variable. 4. The new pattern drafting method is shown in figuke 4.

  • A Korean exporience life table(male) is constructed by using a mixture of weighted moving average(WMA) model and Gompertz' parametric survival model based on 25,000,000 insured of major 6 life insurance companies from 1988 to 1992. The graduated values are taken as those which minimize the composite measure of fittness and smoothness. Moreover, we propose closed form estimators for three parameters of Gompertz' model.

  • The purpose of this study was to make suitabl skirts pattern for pregnant woman on the basis of their physical characteristics. 9 women who were 3,5,8 and 10 months pregnant were measured using Martin's anthropometric instrument on 12 items and sliding gauge on 4 items. The measures were analyzed statistically. Skirts pattern was developed based on the measurements of the essential items for skirts construction. The sensory evaluation was applied to estimate fittness and comfort in Rim's method skirt pattern. The items which showed a remarkable and significant increase were anterior waist circumference, anterior waist height and abdominal circumference. The anterior part of waist and abdorminal sections projected forward gradually. According to statistical analysis on the questionnaire, all the items showed significant difference between the new and the Rim's method skirts pattern with the new pattern having higher scores.

  • This study was done to provide basic data for better fittness of infants and children's clothes and to get the developmental aspect of the subjects. The subjects were total 610 infants and children, 302 boys and 308 girls between month 12 to 59. 67 dependent variables were analyzed by the method of Duncan Test as Multiple Range Test among 8 groups anti T-test between male and female of same age groups. Following results were obtained: 1. In Duncan Test of the direct measurement items, the most subjects between group 1 and 8 were significantly different in the majority of dependent varibles, especially in height and length items 2. In Duncan Test of the body indices, as the subjects 'ages are higher, their bodies were balanced with the growth of the girth of their lower body. 3. In T-test, the significant difference between male and female of same month group was appeared mainly from 4th group to 7th group.

  • This paper proposes on the implementation of efficient image transmission system by generation and protection of watermark signals. For this, the image structure understanding is performed for improving the image quality and the generation of watermark signals. Then, the histogram is constructed and the watermark signals are selected from this. At this stage, by embedding of the coefficients of curve fittness into the lower 4 its of the image data pixels, image quality degradation due to the embedding of watermark signals are prevented. Finally, turbo encoding is performed to solve the problem of watermark signal losses that may occur on channels when transmitting. Especially, a new interleaving method called semi-random interleaver is proposed.
