  • The current hospital industry is showing relatively low profitability in comparison with other industries due to the low medical fees and high costs. Therefore, our government presented the direction of improvement through model execution and support of the specialized hospitals. However, it is estimated that the specialized hospitals also will show differentiated management performances in accordance with their specialized fields due to the characteristics of medical treatment. Therefore, this study had attempted an analysis on the financial index in accordance with the weight of medical treatment items for the rehabilitative medicine department among the whole hospital groups through getting out of analyzing financial indices of individual hospitals centered at their costs. For this p개pose, this study had carried out its research by partially reciting the study on the plan for utilizing participations of private health resources to expand rehabilitative medicine services into the private people of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute(KHIDI). As its results, it was shown that the stability, profitability, activity and productivity of hospitals with high weight of medical treatment for the rehabilitative medicine department were lower than those for the general hospitals. To support smooth operations of these hospitals 'with high weight of medical treatment for the rehabilitative medicine department or of specialized rehabilitation hospitals, it is judged that the plan such as the support for hospital management fund and the additional recognition on the rehabilitative fees, etc. together with the actualization of medical fees must be provided for the institutions which are providing rehabilitative medical services more than the fixed percentage and being equipped with the sufficient medical equipment and personnel to do them.

  • This paper analyses the regional financial market of Kyungbuk-East Coast region. The result shows that the credit unions do not do much for easing the credit constraints of small firms in the region. Many papers suggest that it is necessary for them to adhere closely to the regional economy. But they do not do their best to collect borrowers' private informations. Instead they rely on the credit scoring system to assess their creditworthiness and require collaterals to reinforce their weak credits. That is the real root of weak competitiveness of credit unions. To overcome such a problem they need to actively participate in the development of the regional economy, bearing in mind the cooperative principles, especially commitment for the community. On the other hand the government should contrive plans to foster them. When they function actively the regional financial market will become efficient and the regional economy grow smoothly.

  • This paper focuses on the history of fisheries finance in Korea, especially the role of fisheries finance after the establishments of korean fisheries cooperative. We can say that our fisheries was influenced greatly by the fisheries finance. It may be preyed by the facts that our fisheries experienced a great growth right after the input of big fisheries finance. The products of fisheries has increased from 1962 to now And the structure of the fisheries has improved. But there were unequal development in the each sectors of fisheries. Though the deep sea fishery and farming has developed faster, coastal fishing that are absorbing nearly 90% of fisheries population has stagnated. Of course it was because of unequal financial assistance by Authority. So to improve fisheries evenly, it is very important to overcome various problems that have encountered including the new circumstances like the WTO. For this, lots of steps should be taken. They can be summarized as follows. 1) It may be inevitable to see a rising costs in the deep sea fishery because of the declaration of EEZ by almost every nation. 2) So coastal fishing should be getting more important. It is necessary to improve the structure of coastal fishing and we should be ready to prepare various alternatives far self-sustained growth in coastal fishing. 3) Especially fisheries finance should play more active role. 4) Self-sustainable growth means a fishery with full compatability. For full compatability it is necessary to give financial supports far making fishing ground and equipping anti-pollution system and labour saving apparatus etc. 5) Also to raise the ratio of self-support in fisheries products it is necessary to give financial support to traditional financial system. 6) Moreover it is necessary to guide utilization of finance supplied. For this the committee that is consists of professional people in that field is strongly asked. This committee should be entitled to decide and coordinate the selection of projects, allocation of finance, method of utilization and evaluation of projects etc.

Second, the foreign health insurance policy measures to stabilize the finances were examined separately. Based on this study, in order to maintain sustainable health insurance through reinforcement and financial stabilization of health insurance, the current financial income structure of health insurance must be renovated. It will be necessary to expand government subsidies and discover new tax revenues. In addition, a policy to save finances by reorganizing the medical bill payment system and medical delivery system will also be needed.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of shocking events in the career aspect experienced by Korean workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to find out whether these career shocks affect individual perceptions of the importance of subjective career success. Design/methodology/approach - In the survey of 146 respondents, the career shock events experienced in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic were largely divided into three categories; 'work change', 'employment anxiety', and 'life anxiety'. For the subjective career success, seven dimensions - 'financial security', 'financial achievement', 'entrepreneurship', 'positive relationship', 'positive impact', 'learning and development', 'work-life balance' - were used. Findings - As a result, there was no difference in the perception of subjective career success due to the experience of 'work change' during the Covid-19 period. However, the respondents who experienced 'employment anxiety' came to recognize that 'financial security' and 'financial achievement' were more increasing in terms of the degree of difference of importance. And respondents who experienced 'lifetime anxiety' perceived that the degree of difference of importance was increasing in the six dimensions except for 'social influence'. Particularly, the increase in the importance of 'work-life balance' and 'positive relationship' was found to be the greatest among the career success dimensions. Research implications or Originality - Finally, it was concluded that changes in the external environment such as Covid-19 pandemic influence as a career shock and affect the level of importance in subjective career success perception. Based on the results, the theoretical implication on current career study and some practical implications for organizational career management were suggested.

  • Purpose - This paper studies the impact of digital transformation on corporate performance based on the stakeholder and dynamic capability theories. Digital transformation is divided into digital technologies (big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing) and digital technology practical applications. Corporate performance includes financial performance and non-financial performance. The mechanism of dynamic capabilities (innovation capability, absorptive capacity, and adaptive capacity) is further explored. Design/methodology/approach - A fixed-effects model is used to construct a panel data of China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2023, and Stata is used for empirical analysis. Findings - In general, digital transformation directly improves corporate performance and indirectly promotes corporate performance through dynamic capabilities (innovation, absorptive capacity, and adaptive capacity). After robustness and endogeneity tests, the conclusion still support. In terms of subdivision, the two dimensions of digital transformation and the practical application of digital technology have different effects on corporate financial performance and non-financial performance. Research implications or Originality - Theoretically, the mechanism of digital transformation on corporate performance is fully and deeply explored, filling the research gap whiting this study. Additionally, the model is constructed using the innovation, absorption and adaptability of dynamic capabilities, providing a different perspective. Practically, it helps to alleviate the current situation of some companies "not wanting to transform" or "not daring to transform", and also clarifies how digital transformation can help companies use dynamic capabilities to improve performance. It provides a decision-making basis for government departments to promote the integration of digital economy and real economy, so that digital transformation can better empower and release corporate performance, thereby promoting the development of China's economy.

  • India faces a formidable challenge in ensuring security of access to modern energy carriers to majority of its population. The fossil-fuel dominated centralized energy system has proved to be ineffective in creating sustainable access to energy, which suggests need for a radical and innovative approach. We present such an approach. First, the need for innovations given the implications of lack of energy access on sustainable development is assessed. Next, possible innovations with respect to technologies, policies, institutions, markets, financial instruments and business models are discussed. Finally, an economic and financial feasibility of implementing such innovations are analyzed. The results indicate that such a proposal needs an investment of US$ 26.2 billion over a period of 20 years for a GHG mitigation potential of 213Tg $CO_{2e}$. The proposition is profitable for the enterprises with IRRs in the range of 39%-66%. The households will get lifeline access to electricity and gas for cooking at an affordable monthly cost of about US$ 5.7.

  • While the demand for ASP(Application Service Provider) focused on small and medium enterprises who are fully aware of needs of ICT readiness has been increasing, those who consider to adopt ASP are wondering whether their performance would be actually successful if they did. These concerns can be an important standard of judgement, when introducing new information systems, by analyzing ROI(Return on Investment) on the current enterprises. Therefore, to review the feasibility of investing IT and measuring the performance, this study suggests a framework for ROI analysis which estimates IT investment performance, through multi-criteria approach on both financial performance index and non-financial one. We applied methodology on ASP-based IT investment performance evaluation to sample manufacturing companies under 50 employees and deduced the main implications to be considered when introducing the system.

  • Initial screening is one of the most important and difficult processes in new product development. Many new product screening models have been developed in management and marketing. However practical applications of these models have been limited in part due to their complexity and inflexibility, and in part due to their excessive data requirements. Thus simple judgment models have been popular in practice. However, these models suffer from inaccuracy and inconsistency originating form human cognitive limitations. In light of the problem swith traditional screening methods, we propose a new approach for screening based on managers' past experience and intuitive judgments-screening by analogy, and develop a computerized case-based system for screening new financial service concepts. Using the system, managers can predict the potential performance of a new product concept based on the performance of past products that are similar to it in terms of product characteristics, firm's resources, and market conditions. Based on this prediction, managers make a screening decision.
