The purpose of this study is to increase the economical efficiency and the efficiency of MIS user's attitudes. It hypothesized that an attitudes of users are different from an environmental variables and demographic variables of an organization. So, it selected attitude variables as moderating variables. The sample in this study is the management staff of financial industries only, and the data are selected by field study using a questionnaire. The hypotheses adopted were analyzed statistically by t-test and ANOVA etc.
Purpose - The potential use of cryptocurrencies in a retail environment proposes a rapid shift from the traditional financial system. Nakamoto(2008) defines Bitcoin as an open source alt-coin based on the blockchain technology. Luther(2016) insists that the new technology will be widely adopted for the digital payment processes. However, the use of Bitcoin is in the real world is still sparse. Despite the growing attention and purported benefits, it is doubtful whether the Bitcoin will be eagerly accepted by ordinary consumers in the mainstream market. To answer this question, this paper develops a causal model that has a dual path to explain the motivation to adopt Bitcoin. According to Glaser, Zimmermann, Haferkorn, Weber, and Siering(2014), Bitcoin is both an asset and a currency at the same time. In summary, the attitude towards Bitcoin may vary depending on whether the fin-tech product is viewed as an asset or as a currency. Based on the arguments, we propose that asset attitude and currency attitude will give influence to consumers' intention to adopt Bitcoin. Research design, data, and methodology - Quantitative data collection is conducted from a Bitcoin SIG(special interest group) working in an internet community. As a result, 192 respondents who know Bitcoin completed the survey. To analyze the causal relations in the research model, PLS-SEM(partial least squares structural equation modeling) method is used. Also, reliability and validity of measures are tested by performing Cronbach's alpha test, Fornell-Larcker test and confirmatory factor test. Results - Our test results show that every hypothesis is supported except the influence of perceived ease of use. In addition, we find that the relationships between constructs are different between the high innovative group and low innovative group. Conclusions - We provide evidence that asset attitude and currency attitude are key antecedents of Bitcoin adoption.
This paper is about the NOOMP(Not Out of My Pocket) phenomenon, the inconsistent welfare attitude for an expansion of welfare system and increase of financial resources. By analyzing the scale and influential factors of the NOOMP to the main welfare programs, focusing on the class, gender, and age group, the paper tries to investigate the relationship between the NOOMP and the inherent stratification structure of each programs. This paper uses the Additional Survey of Welfare Attitude in 2013 Korea Welfare Panel Survey. As a result of analysis, low level of NOOMP phenomenon has been observed in welfare programs for whole society members such as health policies, pension, employment policies, compared to those of targeted programs for the poor, aged, or disabled. In addition, high probability of each group of 'low incomer', 'female', and '20s or less'to the NOOMP phenomenon has been appeared, therefore, high relevance of the NOOMP and the stratification structure of welfare programs have been confirmed. These results indicate that the transition to the universal welfare programs and the improvement of welfare programs for more equal structure are needed to reduce the NOOMP phenomenon.
Financial firms, especially large scaled firms such as KB bank, NH bank, Samsung Card, Hana SK Card, Hyundai Capital, Shinhan Card, etc. should be securely dealing with the personal financial information. Indeed, people have tended to believe that those big financial companies are relatively safer in terms of information security than typical small and medium sized firms in other industries. However, the recent incidents of personal information privacy invasion showed that this may not be true. Financial firms have increased the investment of information protection and security, and they are trying to prevent the information privacy invasion accidents by doing all the necessary efforts. This paper studies how effectively a financial firm will be able to avoid personal financial information privacy invasion that may be deliberately caused by internal staffs. Although there are several literatures relating to information security, to our knowledge, this is the first study to focus on the behavior of internal staffs. The big financial firms are doing variety of information security activities to protect personal information. This study is to confirm what types of such activities actually work well. The primary research model of this paper is based on Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) that describes the rational choice of human behavior. Also, a variety of activities to protect the personal information of financial firms, especially credit card companies with the most customer information, were modeled by the four-step process Security Action Cycle (SAC) that Straub and Welke (1998) claimed. Through this proposed conceptual research model, we study whether information security activities of each step could suppress personal information abuse. Also, by measuring the morality of internal staffs, we checked whether the act of information privacy invasion caused by internal staff is in fact a serious criminal behavior or just a kind of unethical behavior. In addition, we also checked whether there was the cognition difference of the moral level between internal staffs and the customers. Research subjects were customer call center operators in one of the big credit card company. We have used multiple regression analysis. Our results showed that the punishment of the remedy activities, among the firm's information security activities, had the most obvious effects of preventing the information abuse (or privacy invasion) by internal staff. Somewhat effective tools were the prevention activities that limited the physical accessibility of non-authorities to the system of customers' personal information database. Some examples of the prevention activities are to make the procedure of access rights complex and to enhance security instrument. We also found that 'the unnecessary information searches out of work' as the behavior of information abuse occurred frequently by internal staffs. They perceived these behaviors somewhat minor criminal or just unethical action rather than a serious criminal behavior. Also, there existed the big cognition difference of the moral level between internal staffs and the public (customers). Based on the findings of our research, we should expect that this paper help practically to prevent privacy invasion and to protect personal information properly by raising the effectiveness of information security activities of finance firms. Also, we expect that our suggestions can be utilized to effectively improve personnel management and to cope with internal security threats in the overall information security management system.
The pandemic age came to us after the COVID19 broke out in the early of 2020, which resulted in many changes in our everyday life. One of the changes is non-contact transactions in economic activities, especially contact-free financial transactions are ever-increasing activities in the pandemic age. In non-contact financial transactions, security and trust are important issues that users are concerned about the most. So the paper examines how security and trust have effects on the attitudes of bank customers who use mobile banking applications on their smartphones. The study conducted factor ananlysis to extract research constructs using survey data gathered during Nobember of 2020 through February of 2021 across the nation. After extracting the constructs, the study checked validity, sampling adequacy, and internal reliability with KMO, Bartlett's test, and Crombach Alpha respectively. To make sure the purpose of the study, I do regression analysis. All factors of attitude had impacts on willingness on both of transactions and purchasing financial products. The results could give guidelines banks which want to attract more customers in open-banking environment through ever-more secure and trusty mobile banking application.
Prior to the start of the general oral examination, this study was performed using the theory of planned behavior to provide data that would help not only increase intention of industrial workers' dental care utilization after their dental examination, but develop the follow-up oral health programs. As the first research group, 608 workers were selected from the 1016 workers while excluding both 53 workers who were currently undergoing dental treatment and 355 workers who had an opportunity to visit the dental clinic over the previous six months. Among the general characteristics that would influence the 608 workers' intention to utilize the dental clinic within one (1) month, their financial state showed that the higher their financial abundance level, the stronger their intention to visit the dental clinic(p<0.01). It was shown that the attitude toward the dental care utilization related behavior and subjective norm except the perceived behavioral control among the TPB variables had a significant effect on their intention(p<0.01). Among TPB variables, attitude toward the dental care utilization and subjective norm except the perceived behavioral control, were significant correlation with behavioral intention(p<0.01). The structure model's R-square of the attitude toward the behavior, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control having and effect on the intention accounted for 21%. In order to encourage the workers to have positive thoughts about the attitude toward their dental care utilization and subjective norm, therefore, it is required to perform the continued oral health programs, in addi1ion to oral health experts' regular education.
I began the study to identify the issues related to knowledge. attitude and behavior regarding smoking by sixth graders. which will ultimately lead to the development of a smoking prevention program that will not only help deter school-age children from smoking, but also make them aware of the more desirable behaviors and techniques for healthier life. The results are as follows: 1. Smoking Behavior: Of the focus group. 4.15% are current smokers and 18.23% are ever smokers. 2. Correlation between smoking knowledge and ever smoking: Ever smoking sample($11.10{\pm}3.66$) is less knowledge able than the never-smoking sample($12.17{\pm}3.95$), (t=3.23. p=.001). 3. Correlation between smoking attitude and ever smoking: Ever smoking sample($28.12{\pm}8.51$) was less desirable than the never-smoking sample($l2.17{\pm}3.95$). (t=8.24, p=.000). 4. The overall cause-and-effect relationship between the ever smoking and the related factors: attitude toward smoking caused ever smoking by -.43, smoking by friends, by .12, marital status of arents, by .05, school life. by .04, gender, by -.03, and smoking by father, by -.02. Knowledge about smoking (t=-1.67) did not cause significant effects on ever smoking.
Today's economy is becoming more and more convergence between different industries as the demarcation of the boundaries of all areas is leading to innovations such as mobile and social network services. So Fin-tech is a new technology that can combine the advantages of mobile and Internet with the technology revolution to easily handle financial and IT tasks. This Fin-tech is a compound word of finance and technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the overall structural relationship between Fin-Tech use motivation (usefulness, enjoyment) on user attitude and word of mouth intention. In addition, we investigated how FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention change according to innovation resistance tendency. And, we examined how the motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention of FinTech change according to the message type (rational and emotional). The main results of this study are as follows. First, the usefulness and enjoyment of motivation for using FinTech have a positive effect on user attitude, and user attitude also has a positive effect on word of mouse intention. Second, the relationship between FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention was found to difference according to consumers' innovation resistance. Third, it was found that the relationship between FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention differs according to type of message (rational, emotional). At the conclusion of the study, the summary of the research results, implications and limitations, and future research direction are described.
How to obtain the financial resources has not been sufficiently addressed, although the unification of Korea incurs enormous cost. This study explains what tax payers of Korea think with regard to the unification tax which is a contradictory issue as a financial resource. The authors analyzed demographic factors, an initial attitude to unification and tax system, and the degree of knowledge as independent variables affecting the intention to pay the unification tax. Furthermore, through the prospect theory, the authors found out how the attitudes of tax payers change by providing them with different messages according to whether they support or oppose the unification tax. The results showed that a group who are male, a group who are old, and a group with high income tend to support the unification and the unification tax more than others. And the results presents that a group who has more interests in both the unification and the unification tax and a group who has more knowledge about the unification and the tax system have more willingness to pay the unification tax than others. In addition, with regard to the persuasive effect of distinct message types, a message which conceals the cost of attitude change was demonstrated to be more effective than a message which emphasizes the benefit.
