  • An anti-forensic data hiding method in an NTFS index record is a method designed for anti-forensics, which records data as a file name in index entries and thereafter the index entries are made to remain in the intentionally generated slack area in a 4KB-sized index record[7]. In this paper, we propose a maximum data allocation rule for an anti-forensic data hiding method in an NTFS index record; i.e., a computational method for storing optimal data to hide data in an index record of NTFS is developed and the optimal solution is obtained by applying the method. We confirm that the result of analyzing the case where the number of index entries n = 7 is the maximum case, and show the screen captures of index entries as experimental results.

  • Human beings have been fascinated by the applicability of the medium of photography since the device was first introduced in the thirteenth century to acquire images by attempting primitive and rudimentary approaches. In the 21st century, it has been developed as a wide range of technology that enables not only the application of artistic expression as a method of replacing the human-hand-painted screen but also the planar recording form in the format of video or image. It is more effective to use the information extracted from the image data rather than to use a randomly given file name in order to provide a variety of services in the offline or online system. When extracting an identifier from a region of an image, high cost cannot be avoided. This paper discusses the image entropy-based approach and proposes a linear methodology to measure the image entropy in an effort to devise a solution to this method.

  • We suggest resource authorization system based on RBAC admitting someone to access resources. In existing grid environment, The authorization mechanism on user's resource is to give users an authority on the basis of DN(Distinguished Name) of proxy certificate and map file mapped in local system ID by one-to-one. In this case, it is difficulty in resource management such as each accounting management, memory resource, and disk resource, if the number of users, who want to use them is increased. To solve this problem, we specify the role of user's task in extension fields of his proxy certificate instead of the authorization mechanism of user's ID and propose resource authorization system being able to access his resource.

  • The Office of Crown Properties was established to manage the property of royal properties as an institution belonging to the Department of the Royal Household in April, 1895. However, as the Great Han Empire established and various policies enforcing the power of the emperor became introduced, the Office of Crown Properties came to be expanded to a large financial agency that would be in charge of various financial sources such as Public Land and Maritime Tax. As the Office of Crown Properties came to manage various income sources, it classified the documents dealing with various government agencies in the Capital and other countryside regions by the unit of Section. The Office of Crown Properties classified the documents by Section and filed them according to Sending/Receiving subject. Sometimes, it filed one kind of document only but sometimes many different kinds of documents were filed together. The types of the document can show the characteristics of the document and the hierarchy of the related agencies through the document name. The fact that they filed the documents with different grades in one file shows that the hierarchy of the agency they dealt with was not the primary standard of the filing and that they did not file the documents by its type. The Office of Crown Properties did not file the related documents in the same file, either. We can say the documents are related if they were corresponded with other agencies while they dealt with a specific item. However, they did not file the related documents in the same file but distinguished sending documents from receiving documents. The reason why they filed different kind documents in the same file and separated the related documents in different file was they took 'whether they were sent or received' as the primary filing standard. They separated the sending documents from the receiving documents first and then filed them according to time regardless of the region or institution. The Office of Crown Properties primarily classified the documents by Section, classified the documents with the standard of whether they were receiving documents or sending documents and then filed them in a file according to the time. It means that the Office of Crown Properties came to create the Official Document Classification and filing system.

  • NAND flash-based SSDs (Solid State Drive) have advantages of fast input/output performance and low power consumption so that they could be widely used as storages on tablet, desktop PC, smart-phone, and server. But, SSD has the disadvantage of wear-leveling due to increase of the number of writes. In order to improve the lifespan of the SSD, a variety of data deduplication techniques have been introduced. General fixed-size splitting method allocates fixed size of chunk without considering locality of data so that it may execute unnecessary chunking and hash key generation, and variable-size splitting method occurs excessive operation since it compares data byte-by-byte for deduplication. This paper proposes adaptive chunking method based on application locality and file name locality of written data in SSD-based server storage. The proposed method split data into 4KB or 64KB chunks adaptively according to application locality and file name locality of duplicated data so that it can reduce the overhead of chunking and hash key generation and prevent duplicated data writing. The experimental results show that the proposed method can enhance write performance, reduce power consumption and operation time compared to existing variable-size splitting method and fixed size splitting method using 4KB.

  • Blockchain is being studied in various fields such as logistics, fintech, medical care, and the public sector. In the public information software project, some deliverables are omitted because the developed deliverables and the deliverables requested by the project management methodology do not match, and an additional process is required for payment. In this paper, we propose the deliverables management system for public information software project which is configured a distributed environment using the Ethereum blockchain and which has an automatic payment system only when all deliverables are approved. This system can keep the service available in case of system failure, provide transparency and traceability of deliverables management, and can reduce conflicts between the ordering company and the contractor through automatic payment. In this system, the information of deliverables is stored in the blockchain, and the deliverables that their file name is the hash value calculated by using the version information and the hash value of the previous version deliverable, are stored in the SFTP server. Experimental results show that the hash value of the deliverables registered by the contractor is correct, the file name of the deliverables stored in the SFTP server is the same as the hash value registered in the Ethereum blockchain, and the payment is made automatically to the Ethereum address of the contractor when all deliverables are approved.

  • In most existing distributed Web systems, incoming requests are distributed to servers via Domain Name System (DNS). Although such systems are simple to implement, the address caching mechanism easily results in load unbalancing among servers. Moreover, modification of the DNS is necessary to load considering the server's state. In this paper, we propose a new dynamic load balancing method using dynamic DNS update and round-robin mechanism. The proposed method performs effective load balancing without modification of the DNS. In this method, a server can dynamically be added to or removed from the DNS list according to the server's load. By removing the overloaded server from the DNS list, the response time becomes faster. For dynamic scheduling, we propose a scheduling algorithm that considers the CPU, memory, and network usage. We can select a scheduling policy based on resources usage. The proposed system can easily be managed by a GUI-based management tool. Experiments show that modules implemented in this paper have low impact on the proposed system. Furthermore, experiments show that both the response time and the file transfer rate of the proposed system are faster than those of a pure Round-Robin DNS.

  • BIM Data exchange using standard format can provide a user friendly and practical way of integrating the BIM tools in the life cycle of a building on the currently construction industry which is participated various stakeholder. It used IFC format to exchange the BIM data from Design software to energy analysis software. However, since we can not use the material name data in the library of an energy analysis directly, it is necessary to input the material property data for building energy analysis. In this paper, to matching the material named of name of DOE-2 default library, rhe extracted material names from BIM file are inferred by the ontology With this we can make the reliable input data of the engine by development a standard data and also increase the efficient of building energy analysis process. The methodology can enable to provide a direction of BIM-based information management system as a conceptual study of using ontology in the construction industry.
