There have been two supposition that the decrement of fatty soil removal at high temperature was caused by surfactants and by the structure of fibers and Fabrics. To study the effect of temperature on the removal of fatty soil, the following variables were selected: Sodium n-alkylsulfates having various chain lengths of alkyl groups as surfactants, cotton and cuprammonium rayon as cellulose fibers having different fiber structure, and two types of soil having different melting points. Experiment was carried out with radiotagged soil and detergency was estimated by liquid scintillation counting. The results were as following: the detergency of tripalmitin on cotton was increased with elevating temperature up to $60\~70^{\circ}C$ and decreased above $70^{\circ}C$ regardless of alkyl chain length of sodium n-alkylsulfates. In distilled water without surfactant, the detergency of tripalmitin on cotton was also decreased above $70^{\circ}C$, but the detergency of tripalmitin on cuprammonium rayon was not decreased above $70^{\circ}C$. effects seemed to be caused by fiber structure. Though the melting point of mixture of tripalmitin and dodecane was lower than that of tripalmitin, the optimum and decrement temperature of detergency were not altered. Finally the results of this study were shown that the surfactant and characteristics of soil did not affect on the mode of detergency vs temperature, but the fiber structure.
The effects of Aspergillus niger H-18(AN) and A.fumigatus E-29(AF) on the deterioration of test materials were examined. 1. When the fungi were inoculated to the cotton fibers placed on Czapeck agar, malt extract agar, and potato agar, they grew best on potato agar which in that context was chosen as a basal medium for deterioration studies. The tensile strength of ontton fiber on which AN was grown for 30 days decreased by 33.9% with a concommitant increase in elongation by 43.1%. 2. Cotton fabric lost the weight by 1.35%, when inoculated with AN while it lost the weight by 0.86% when inoculated with AF. 3. When AN and AF were inoculated separately on cotton fibers, tensile strength decreased by 52.8% and 43.3%, respectively, with concommitant increases in elongation by 34.2% and 29.4%, respectively. 4. The cotton was damaged more severely by AN than AF, when they were observed by scanning electron microscope.
The effects of Aspergillus fumigatus(AF) and Penicillium citrinum(PC) deterioration of test materials were examined. When the fungi were inoculated to the silk fibers placed on Czapeck agar, malt extract agar and potato agar, they grew best on potato agar which in that context was chosen as a basal medium for deterioration studies. The tensile strength of silk fiber on which AF was grown for 30 days decreased by 28.5% with a concommitant increase in elongation by 40.1%. Silk fabric lost the weight by 4.74%, when inoculated with AF while it lost the weight by 3.37%, when inoculated with AF. When AF and PC were inoculated separately on silk fibers, tensile strength decreased by 76.3% and 56.4%, respectively, with concommitang increases in elingation by 53.1% and 37.8% respectively. The silk was damaged more severely by AF than PC, when they were observed by scanning electron microscope.

In recent years, a number of metal machine parts, in the field of the car manufactures and electronic goods for home, have been replaced by nylon-6 in order to weight, cost, and a period of process of manufacture. It's because nylon-6 materials as an industrial material have higher economical and productive advantage than the metalic ones. However, in domestic injection manufactures, there are few data on fiber glass synthetic on nylon-6. It is said that plastic in process of manufacture using the same injection materials make their results different in large scale according to fiber glass synthetic rate conditions. In this study, we have studied effects of the glass fiber synthetic rate on the characteristics of fatigue failure for nylon-6.
This study was conducted to determine if dietary fiber would reduce exposure of the tissues to dietary benzo[a]pyrene(BP) , a well-known carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, as evaluated by benzo[a]pyrene hydroxylase (BPH) activity. The effects of three different sources of dietary fiber(pectin, polydextrose, and clellulose) on BPH activity were studied using Sprague-Dawley rats. In this study, male rats were fed a fiber-free purified diet for 7 days, whereupon they were switched to experimentla diets for 48h. After 48h, their liver, stomach , small intestinal mucosa and large intestinal mucosa were assayed for BPH activity. Thissues exposed to benzo[a]pyrene(400mg/kg diet, fiber-free) showed significant increse in the activity of BPH ; 27 times in liver, 7 times in stomach, 18 times in small intestinal mucosa and 3 times in large intestine. The inhibition in BP -induced BPH activity by dietary fiber in liver, stomach and small intestinal mucosa was observed in the decreasing order : 10 % perctin > 10% polydextrose >5 % polydextrose > 10% cellulose. Decreased BPH induction indicates that soluble dietry fibers, especially pectin and polydextrose in this study, protect the tissues of digestive system from exposure to BP.
Among the production technologies of nonwoven fabrics, a needle punching technique has one of the long history aid holds still important place. At the present time, it is used not only for scrimming with woven or knitted fabrics and other nonwoven fabrics, but also for applying the special fibers blending nonwovens at the web forming process in ender to manufacture economical and high value added-Products such as home furnishing industrial and technical purpose. This study examines the character of "Tencel" named as Ecology Fiber and investigates the fitness of it as the textile and the satisfaction in dress when its fastness is compared with that of Rayon classified into Celulose textile. Dye experiment selected 100% Tencel, Rayon for the samples, which were dyed into the direct dye and Turky Blue and Blue of the rective dye and were washed twelve times by the automatic washer. After that, the dye experiment examines the light, laundering, perspiration, rubbing and the composite fastness of the perspiration and hight in the lists of the dye fastness. The results are as follows: 1. The experiment of the color fastness, especially in T-blue of the direct dyestuff, requiring the twelve times-repeatedly-washing by the detergent says that the color fastness of Tencel is superior to that of the cellulose textile ; Rayon. 2. The experiment of the light fastness says that the fastness of Tencel is superior to that of Rayon. 3. The experiment of the laundering fastness says that all of Tencel, Rayon shows the excellent result in the direct dye than in the reactive dye. 4. The experiment of the rubbing fastness says that although Tencel, Rayon show the remarkable result in the desiccant experiment than in the humid one, the rubbing fastness of Tencel is superior to that of others. 5. The experiment of perspiration fastness says that Tencel, Rayon have the closely tightened tendency not to be altered through the acid and alkali perspirations. 6. The experiment of the composite fastness of perspiration and light indicates that the artifical perspirations, though the light lets the fastness of textiles weeken, do very slightly make them loosen, which does not offer the outstanding result. This whole result show that the fastness of Tencel is superior to that of Rayon. The Korean Fiber Enterprise in clothing should make the new and ecological fiber "Tencel" by means of the large amount of investment, and the technique of handing and controlling about it, considering that the dangerous needle of environmental pollution has been slackening the close-related ecological knots of the global environment. global environment.
