식이섬유 수준이 유색육용계의 육질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dietary Fiber Level on Meat Quality in Colored Broiler)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary fiber(DF) levels on the meat quality in colored broiler. Colored broiler were fed on containing corn-soy basal diet(DF 5%) and high level(DF 6,7 and 8%) of dietary fiber diets for 7 weeks. Dietary fiber level of diet was make up by adding some alffalfa meal. Colored broiler meats were stored at 3$\circ$ for 24hr after skaughter, and used to analyze physico-chemical properties. Proximate component, pH, shear force value, myofibril fragmentation index, water holding capacity, cooking loss, protein extractability, fatty acid composition, Hunter's L, a value and palatability of cooked meat were not significantly affected by dietary fiber levels, whereas the Hunter's value of meat was significantly affected bty dietary fiber levels for the final period of feeding. Crude protein content, myofibril fragmentation index, water holding capacity, protein extractability and Hunter's b value of breast meat's were higher than thigh meat's, but crude fat content, pH, shear force value, cooking loss, palmitoleic acid, linolenic acid, and Hunter's a value were lower, regardless of dietary fiber level.

  • The media transport system is used in a printer, a ATM(Automated Tellor Machine), and so on. The media transport system has many problems through miniaturization and rapid transportation of these machines. In the paper feeding mechanism, it is important to feed the sheet without jamming under any conditions. To avoid sheet jamming, first we need to predict the behavior of the sheet exactly. In this paper, the analysis of media behavior is based on J. Stolte's studies. In all of OA machines, a flexible beam or plate is pushed from the channel. The motion may be constrained by guides. This leads to a transient and geometrically nonlinear problem. The behavior of paper is simulated by dynamic elastica theory. The shape of guide is represented by parametric cubic curve. But J. Stolte's studies did not considered contact condition between sheet and guide. So Klarbring's Model. will be applied. And the analysis of flexible media has to include aerodynamic effect for more exact behavior analysis, because the flexible media can be deformed drastically by a little force. Therefore aerodynamic force must be applied to the governing equation. Lastly, the simulation of this model is performed, and the experiment is performed for verification of this model. The experimental results of low exit velocity are consistent with the simulation results, however experimental results of high exit velocity do not agree well with analytical results. Dosage-Related Prebiotic Effects of Inulin in Formula-Fed Infants

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the minimally meaningful dosage of inulin leading to a prebiotic effect in Indonesian infants. Methods: In a randomized controlled double-blinded, parallel, 3-arm intervention study, 164 healthy formula-fed infants aged 3 to 5 months first obtained formula-A (without inulin) during a 4-week adaptation period. Subsequently, 142 subjects were subjected to a 4-week feeding period by administering either formula-A (no inulin), formula-B (0.2 g/100 mL inulin) or formula-C (0.4 g/100 mL inulin). The primary outcome parameter was %-bifidobacteria in faecal samples determined using quantitative polymerase chain reaction analyses. Secondary outcome parameters were faecal %-lactobacilli, pH and stool frequency, and consistency. Growth and tolerance/adverse effects were recorded as safety parameters. Results: Typical %-bifidobacteria and %-lactobacilli at the end of the adaptation period in the study population were 14% and 2%, respectively. For faecal pH, significant differences between formula groups A vs. C and A vs. B were found at the end of the intervention period. Testing for differences in faecal %-bifidobacteria and %-lactobacilli between groups was hampered by non-normal data set distributions; no statistically significant differences were obtained. Comparisons within groups revealed that only in formula group C, all the three relevant parameters exhibited a significant effect with an increase in faecal %-bifidobacteria and %-lactobacilli and a decrease in pH. Conclusion: A consistent prebiotic effect along with a decrease in pH and increase in %-bifidobacteria and %-lactobacilli was found only in the group administered 0.4 g inulin/100 mL.

인진쑥 급여가 한우육의 이화학적·관능적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Physicochemical Properties and Sensory Score of Hanwoo Beef Loin after Feeding with Mugwort)

  • 본 연구는 인진쑥으로 TMR사료를 개발하여 한우에게 급여한 경우, 인진쑥의 급여가 한우 등심의 이화학적, 관능적 특성에 미치는 영향을 확인하였으며, 그 결과로 고급화된 기능성 한우의 생산 가능성을 검토하였다. 대조군(control)은 인진쑥을 혼합하지 않은 비육우 사료를 급여하였고, 급여군(treatment)은 인진쑥을 혼합한 비육우 사료를 급여하였다. 총 카테킨 함량은 대조군 및 급여군이 각각 0.307 및 0.516 mg/kg, 에피카테킨은 각각 0.087 및 0.116 mg/kg으로 급여군이 유의하게 높아 인진쑥 급여의 영향이 있었다(p<0.05). 명도 및 적색도는 급여군이 대조군보다 높았으나 황색도는 대조군과 급여군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다(p<0.05). pH는 급여군이 대조군보다 높았으며, TBARS는 대조군이 급여군보다 높았으나 VBN 함량, EDA% 및 총균수는 대조군 및 급여군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다(p<0.05). 보수력은 급여군이 대조군보다 유의하게 높았으며, 동결감량, 해동 감량 및 가열감량은 대조군 및 급여군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다(p<0.05). 경도, 응집성, 뭉침성, 저작성 및 전단력은 대조군 및 급여군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었으나 탄성은 대조군이 급여군보다 높았다(p<0.05). 생육의 냄새는 급여군이 대조군보다 유의하게 우수하였으며, 열탕 가열육의 관능특성은 대조군 및 급여군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그리고 팬 가열육의 맛, 연도, 다즙성 및 전체적인 기호성은 급여군이 대조군보다 유의하게 우수하였다(p<0.05). 이상의 결과에서 인진쑥의 급여는 항산화 물질의 축적으로 지방산화를 억제하고 보수력을 개선시키며, 기호성에도 좋은 영향을 미치기 때문에 기능성 고품질 한우육 생산을 위한 사료로서의 가능성이 기대된다.

Self-administration of an Analgesic Does Not Alleviate Pain in Beak Trimmed Chickens

  • Beak trimming in laying hens is a routine practice in which about 1/3-1/2 of the upper and lower beak is removed with the aim of reducing cannibalism. This experiment aimed to identify if this procedure causes pain by examining self-administration of an analgesic (carprofen) and pecking behaviour in 80 laying pullets beak-trimmed by two different methods at one day of age using hot-blade cauterisation or infra-red cauterisation. We also tested a control treatment, pullets with intact beaks, and a positive control treatment of pullets beak trimmed at 10 weeks of age which were expected to experience some pain due to recent severing of the underlying nerves in the beak. At 11 weeks of age birds trimmed at 10 weeks of age pecked more (p<0.001) gently ($0.6{\pm}0.06N$) at a disc attached to a force-displacement transducer than birds trimmed at 1 day of age with an infra-red machine ($0.9{\pm}0.1N$) or a hot blade ($1.1{\pm}0.07N$) and intact birds ($1.2{\pm}0.1N$). Maximum force of pecks recorded was also lower (p<0.001) in birds trimmed at 10 weeks of age than birds trimmed at 1 day of age with an infra-red method or a hot blade and intact birds. However, the pecking force in birds trimmed at 10 weeks of age was not increased by providing them with analgesic-treated feed, though birds that ate more carprofen had a higher maximum force of peck (p = 0.03). Pecking force in birds beak-trimmed at 1 day of age was the same as the pecking force of intact birds, and was unaffected by feeding pullets carprofen. A method of self-administration of an analgesic had previously revealed that chickens in neuromuscular pain arising from lameness consumed more of a feed containing carprofen than healthy chickens. However, we found no evidence that beak-trimmed pullets consumed more carprofen-treated feed than pullets with an intact beak. It should be noted that the three beak trimming methods resulted in an average 34% reduction in beak length, considered a light trim, and is perhaps not representative of commercial birds where greater portions of the beak are removed. We conclude that although carprofen has been reported to have an analgesic effect on neuromuscular pain in chickens, it appears to have no analgesic effect on potential neuropathic pain arising from the nerves severed by a light beak trim.

도축전 절식과 냉장숙성이 재래돼지 Longissimus Dorsi, Biceps Femoris와 Triceps Brachii의 육질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Pre-slaughter Fasting and Chiller Ageing on Objective Meat Quality in Longissimus Dorsi, Biceps Femoris, and Triceps Brachii Muscles of Korean Native Black Pigs)

  • 본 연구는 한국 재래돼지의 도축전 절식과 숙성이 longissimus dorsi(LD), biceps femoris(BF) and triceps brachii(TB)의 육질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 18 시간동안 절식은 LD에서 유의적으로(P < 0.05) 높은 최종 pH을 보였고, BF도 유사한 경향을 나타냈다. 근육 온도는 절식유무에 영향을 받지않아, 이 결과는 각 처리구의 돼지들은 각기 다른 온도와 pH의 영향을 받았다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 영향은 LD의 경우 절식을 하지 않은 돼지에서 유의적으로 높은(P < 0.05) hunter $L^*$ 값과 가열감량에서 나타났다. 하지만 전단력은 차이가 없었다. 또한 BF와 TB의 육질은 도축전 절식유무에 의해 영향을 받지 않았다. LD에서 전단력은 숙성 7일까지 감소하였고, BF와 TB는 14일까지 유의적으로(P < 0.05) 감소했다. 숙성기간중 LD와 BF, 그리고 LD와 TB의 상관관계를 보았을 때, LD의 전단력 6kg은 BF와 TB에서 각각 6과 3.5 kg을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 도축전 급여는 시각적인 육색은 개선하나, 가열감량을 증가시켜 맛은 감소시킬 것으로 판단되었다. 한편 LD의 숙성은 7일이 적절한 것으로 나타났고, TB와 같이 근본적으로 연한 고기는 숙성은 가열감량을 증가시키므로 숙성하지 않는 것이 바람직하다고 판단되었다. BF와 TB에서는 14일 숙성은 연도는 증가하나 다즙성은 감소할 것으로 판단되었다.

튜브 액압성형 공정의 가이드영역에서 소재 및 윤활에 따른 마찰 특성의 실험적 연구 (Experimental investigation of friction in guide zone of tube hydroforming with material and lubricant)

  • In this study, friction test was proposed to obtain coefficient of friction between tube and die in guide zone of tube hydroforming and friction coefficients were evaluated at different materials, viscosity of lubricants and internal pressures. For this study, STKM11A and SUS tubes were prepared. The tube was expanded by an internal pressure against the tool wall. By pushing the tube through the tool, a friction force at the contact surface between the tube and the tool occurs From the recorded axial feeding forces, the friction coefficients between tube and die at the guide zone in tubular hydroforming can be estimated. The effects of the various internal pressures, viscosity of lubricants, tube materials, tube size and die coating on the friction forces and friction coefficients are discussed.

  • The productivity of hydroforming process can be increased by combining pre-forming process and post-forming process such as the bending, piercing and the embedding process. Therefore in this study, integrated studies on the hydro-embedding technology have been performed by analyzing the deformed mode of the tubes and the optimal process parameters. In the case of the embedding test the characteristics of the embedded parts, such as the shape of the screw tip, screw thread and shape of thread were investigated at various process conditions. To measure the clamping force between the embedded part and the tube, special measuring device was used.

  • Micro spherical lens mold processing method based on mechanical one completes a spherical shape by setting a diamond tool of hundreds $\mu$m radius on spins with high speed and then using Z-axis vertical feeding motion like the fabrication of micro drilling. In this method, we can see unprocessed parts shaped like cylinder and cone and check increasing chatter marks and burrs by setting errors of the central axis of rotation on the edge of the tool. That is why this method doesn't suit for the optical lens mold. In this paper presents unprocessed parts are disappeared and chatter marks and burrs are decreased from centre of the lens after using Run-out measuring and setting system on run-out occurred from setting tool. Also the fabrication characteristics of 6:4 Brass, A1601, PMMA are compared and analyzed, establishing the optimum machining condition on each material.

Integrated studies on the embedding manufacturing technology have been performed by analyzing the deformed mode of the tubes and the optimal process parameters. In this study, a simulation model that can prove clamping force between the clamping element and tube has been investigated by FEM. The characteristics of the embedded parts, such as the shape of the screw tip, screw thread and shape of thread were investigated at various clamping element conditions.
