The Internet has the potential to create new channels that might be beneficial to fashion consumers. This study examines the effects of consumer involvement and Internet behavior in on-going Internet information searches through the young female generation. For the practical research, the survey was conducted from June $15^{th}$ to July $15^{th}$ 2009. Data was collected in a total of 368 questionnaires from female university students in their 20's and analyzed 300 questionnaires with SPSS 12.0. The results were as follows. First, clothing involvement, fashion involvement, internet involvement, and Internet shopping interest had been considered as antecedents of on-going Internet information search behavior. Second, clothing involvement and Internet involvement significantly affected Internet shopping interest. However, fashion involvement and Internet involvement showed direct paths to on-going Internet information searches. Third, there were significant effects in Internet shopping interest and on-going Internet information searches. Forth, the respondents were segmented by two groups according to the level of ongoing information searches. These segmented two groups were different in regard to clothing shopping behaviors and impulse purchase behaviors.
Consumers' price related response in the clothing purchase decision-making process includes their expectation of price, price perception, attitude toward price and consequent behaviors. The purposes of this research are to systematically organize consumers' price related responses in the clothing purchase decision-making process, and to explain the effect of price on their purchasing. The qualitative research including shopping observation and in-depth interview was conducted. The result identified stages that showed different price related responses in clothing purchase decision-making process, and clarified each stage's characteristics. In the internal search stage, consumers recalled price information from memory and had a specific expectation about the price. This set a direction for the external search. In the external search stage, consumers selected brands or stores by a non-compensatory evaluating with an expectation of the price, and narrowed these down to several determinant alternatives by actively evaluating the products. In case a sufficient amount of price information was not recalled, the consumer established reference price through the external search. Finally, in the purchasing stage, consumers evaluated the determinant alternatives based on their compensatory evaluation. When perception of price was negative, consumers evaluate price combined with the higher criteria of clothing benefits, such as symbolic value and usability. The research is expected to contribute to predicting consumers' responses to price, and to establishing an effective pricing strategy.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to research how the different types of experiences affect consumer's recognition in terms of luxury vintage fashion products, and what kinds of value consumer can achieve. Design/methodology/approach - The study is based on the means-end chain (MEC) approach for an in-depth understanding of consumers' recognition systems through conducting the laddering interview technique. Above all, the research conducted a pilot test to gain attributes of consumer experiences about luxury vintage fashion products from Korean and Taiwanese. Findings - It is found that not only by actual purchase, experience without purchasing also can lead to consumers' self-fulfilment and self-accomplishment, which filled the lack of relevant literature in the luxury vintage industry. In addition, the study sorted out the channels that consumers approach LVF products, which provide a classification reference for future research related to the luxury vintage consumer. Research implications or originality - As consumers can gain a lot kind of value through LVF products, luxury brands can attract consumers by using vintage as a market strategy. For luxury marketers, by running LVF shopping mall online or opening LVF stores, not only allow consumers' attach with LVF products but also can further lead to the purchase behaviors. In addition, consumers who are interested in LVF are those who are aware of the authenticity, uniqueness, and rarity of the brand. Due the fact, these consumers may be interested in the topic of sustainability.
The purposes of this study were to segment female consumers on the basis of their clothing image preference, and to investigate the clothing purchasing behaviors of each segmented market. The research method was a questionnaire survey and participants were 700 women aged from 20's to 60's in Daejeon and Chungnam province. The questionnaire consisted of items for clothing image preference, clothing purchasing behaviors and the participants' demographic characteristics. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA and the Scheff$\'{e}$ test. The results were as follows. Female consumers were divided into 7 types(sophisticated, natural, characteristic, elegant, active, feminine, and neat type) by clothing image preference. The 7 segmented market groups differed in many ways in terms of demographic characteristics and various clothing purchasing behaviors(clothing selection criteria, purchasing motives, fashion information sources, places of purchase, shopping frequency, and quantity and cost of purchases). The results of this study supported the view that clothing image preference can be a useful and effective variable for female market segmentation.

SNS (social networking service) plays an important role in delivering information regarding fashion brands and providing a space for communication between fashion retailers and SNS users, as well as between users. This study primarily focuses on exploring the relationships among the motivation of SNS users and social comparison, clothing purchasing behaviors and the difference in the relationships according to individual characteristics. An online survey was conducted on Chinese female consumers in their 20's and 30's who had experience in fashion SNS. A total of 297 women completed online survey. The results of the study revealed that: (1) consumers who have stronger motivation of information seeking and interpersonal communication through fashion SNS reached more active upward comparison and peer comparison accordingly; (2) upward comparison had a significant effect on conspicuous consumption and bandwagon, while peer comparison had no significant effect; and (3) the self-esteem of fashion SNS users significantly moderated the effect of social comparison on conspicuous consumption and conformity consumption. This study contributed to expanding the knowledge on the relationships among the motivations of SNS users and social comparison, and shed light on Chinese SNS users' characteristics and purchasing behaviors in the fashion SNS context. As fashion and distribution companies have increasingly turned to implementing marketing activities that use omni-channel strategies, it is imperative to explore consumer-oriented evaluations of omni-channel shopping for fashion products. Through contributing to the growing research flow of consumer behavior within omni-channel contexts, the current study explores consumer motivations for omni-channel fashion shopping and their impacts on the decision-making stages of fashion products. The authors first performed in-depth interviews with six Korean consumers and confirmed the four types of consumer motivation for omni-channel shopping, and how decision-making processes react to fashion companies' omni- channel marketing strategies. These findings were used to set survey items for the main study. Based on the results and findings of previous literature, an online survey was conducted with 300 participants who had actual experience with omni-channel shopping for fashion products. The statistic results from the survey revealed the following: First, the in-depth interviews allowed the authors to confirm four factors of omni-channel shopping motivation (ubiquity, efficiency, convenience, and impulsiveness). Second, the survey showed the authors that among the four factors of omni-channel shopping orientation, impulsiveness had the greatest effect on consumer behaviors at the preand on-purchase stages, while the ubiquity factor had the greatest effect at the post-purchase stage. As such, the study empirically tested the omni-channel-specific factors of shopping orientation and motivation. In addition, it showed the effect of omni-channel marketing on various stages of the decision- making process and the study's limitations and implications were discussed.
