  • This study aimed to identify characteristics of Generation MZ's consumer purchase decision journey to develop the new fashion CDJ model. The initial stage was affected by habit, online community, social media, aesthetics, circumstantial need, and proxy. In the search and consideration stage, mobile channels were used actively. In the active search and evaluation stage, online media, experiential data, and personal information were employed. In the purchase stage, zoomers took plenty of time in search and evaluation before spending, contrary to millennials who made their purchases more quickly. In the post-purchase experience stage, zoomers actively displayed follow-up behaviors depending on their satisfaction, such as retaining or deleting the app. While, millennials did not turn away from the store or brand, but followed up on their purchases even when they had an unsatisfactory experience. Based on the characteristics of CDJ, iterative cycle CDJ models were developed. Zoomers CDJ model was presented as a search loop that consists of the search and evaluation process, in which information accumulates, and a purchase loop in which the actual purchase occurs. The iterative cycle CDJ model was presented connected to the loyalty loop as the main section, which is accelerated in millennials' CDJ model.

We conducted in-depth interviews with consumers who were interested in preschooler clothing, purchased it frequently, and bought preschooler clothing within the last three months. Their purchase motivations and purchase behaviors were analyzed through exploratory and inductive analysis. The analysis was conducted by integrating categories into one process centered on core categories through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of this study included that 1) a variety of clothing purchase behaviors appeared as a central phenomenon, 2) the causal conditions that contributed to this phenomenon were the buyers' childcare experiences, purchase experiences, the personal consumption values of individuals, and income levels, 3) in response to the central phenomenon, the parents' action/interaction strategies were acceptance and rejection of purchased clothing, 4) contextual and Intervening conditions affecting action/interaction strategy were family environment changes, the VIB (Very Important Baby) phenomenon, parents' clothing involvement, and the relationship with the buyers, and acceptance by the users, and 5) as a result of the strategy expressed as acceptance and rejection, various clothing behaviors emerged. • A rash guard, also known as rash vest or rashie, is functional sportswear that protects the wearer's skin from various dangers during outdoor sports activities. It is durable and comfortable since it is designed considering muscle movement. In modern society, more and more people enjoy leisure activities due to an increase in income level and increased leisure hours. Water leisure activities are increasingly enjoyed in the summer. As the way people think of leisure evolves, people are more inclined toward dynamic leisure sports rather than static facility tourism. Therefore, more research on rash guards is required. By identifying and analyzing the design preferences and purchase behaviors of young adults on rash guards, this study aims to provide basic data on the actual sportswear behaviors concerning those who are most active in water sports, people in their 20s and 30s. Furthermore, the study aims to contribute to a healthy exercise lifestyle for women who enjoy water sports and the growth of the water sportswear market. In the study, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire to investigate the wearing behaviors and purchase preferences as well as the wearing satisfaction on rash guards. For the study, 200 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and collected to be used as analysis data. The questionnaire consisted of 36 questions, 6 about demographic characteristics, 11 about purchase preferences, and 19 about wearing satisfaction. The collected data was analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 8.0. The study results can be used as basic data to investigate the design preferences and wearing behaviors of rash guards of women in their 20s and 30s. The results found numerous complaints on comfortableness and durability, which suggests more concern and improvements are necessary in those areas when designing patterns for rash guards.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze potential effects of Koreans' ultraviolet risk awareness and appearance management on their UV protective behaviors in daily life and outdoor activities, and was to investigate in their awareness of UV-protective clothing and their purchase attitudes toward anti-UV protective clothing. To meet the above goals, we have surveyed a total of 262 participants(male and female) residing in Chungcheong province. Findings were as following: As a part of ultraviolet-protective behaviors, it was found that the respondents often relied on applying sun-block cream or shady place before exposition to sunlight. Particularly, it was notable that 30's or older group was more proactive in UV protective behaviors than younger group below 30 years old. There were significant correlations among the respondents' UV protective behaviors, their awareness of anti-UV clothing and their purchase attitudes to anti-UV clothing. Also, there were also significant correlations among their UV-protective means for outdoor activities. That is, more favorable awareness about anti-UV clothing they have is associated with their more active attitudes to purchasing anti-UV clothing and taking anti-sunlight behaviors. It was found that the number of respondents who used cosmetics for outdoor activities was more than that of respondents who used clothing to protect their body from ultraviolet ray. Hence, it will be necessary for follow-up studies to focus on the development and promotion of anti-UV clothing.
