Regarding the figure painting of the T'ang period, by Yeomipbon, a representative painter of the early T'ang period, shows a traditional painting style. Figure paintings of the Prosperous T'ang period, influenced by Odoja's painting style, are characterized as illustrating the lives of noble women delicately with brilliant colors. They include Janghwon's and in which Chinese traditional and Western painting styles were combined. , and , which were painted by Jubang in the mid T'ang period, were the developmentally succeeded the figure painting style of the previous times, illustrating even the psychological and emotional states of painted figures in a sophisticated way. Skin make-ups shown in figure paintings of the T'ang period are mostly baekjang in type. Besides, other different types of the make=up such as bihajang, dohwajang and juwoonjang can be seen. The paintings, show that the tone of skin got more and more red as the times moved from the early to the late T'ang periods because rouge was more and more used as the times passed between the periods. As a type of forehead make-up, aekhwang is found in Janghwon's and of the late T'ang period. Hwajeon is seen in lots of figure paintings made between the Prosperous the late T'ang periods. Most eyelid make-ups shown in the figure paintings are round-shaped wolmi and yuhyeopmi in type. Besides, other creative types like gyeyeopmi, paljami and iljami are found. Lips are found made up clearer and more red as the times went from the early and the late T'ang periods. The types of cheek make-up like sahong and jangyeop can't be found in figure paintings of the T'ang period.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the work clothes' clothing comfort and wearer mobility of painting workers with the consideration of the work environment features in the machine and shipbuilding industries in South Korea. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the study, which consisted of questions on the clothing comfort and wearer mobility aspects of painting work clothes by clothes types and body parts. The work clothes' clothing comfort and wearer mobility levels were scaled in 5 points i.e. 1(: very tight/very uncomfortable) to 5(: very slack/very comfortable). The painting work environmental hazardous features were considered as high impact levels of workplace temperature, oxygen deficiency, organic solvent, toxic gas factors while metal fragment factor only impacts 'low' in the painting processes with the findings throughout this study. Since the painting work consisted of surface washing and the spray and touch-up painting processes, which was carried out in an outdoor work place, the painting work clothes should meet high performance of waterproofing from the painting material and air permeability specially in summer as well as thermal performance in winter. The subjects painting workers' assessment of the existing work clothes' clothing oppression was in the levels between 3 (i.e. moderate) and 4 (i.e. comfortable) in a range of 1 to 5 points. The existing painting work clothes' wearer mobility was evaluated 'very uncomfortable' in all work clothes parts, especially, armhole length, biacromial breadth, sleeve length of the jumper; and body rise, waist, hip, thigh and knee circumferences of the pants.

In the modem society, people try to represent and protect their traditional arts in aesthetic way along with the global society. The proposal of this thesis is about the fashion illustration that has adopted the folklike formative arts. 1 prefer the formative character rather then the universal character and I would like to use of folk paintings far the fashion illustration. Because the formative character of folk paintings is very expressional, we are able to draw a fashion illustration in easy, new, creative and less difficult way. The fashion illustration has to be a specialized field from the formative arts, and we need to study in a new way as well. We draw fashion illustration through the understanding of folk paintings and the study of analysis in formative. As a result of this study, we could draw a fashion illustration which is very abstract, exaggerative and simple. We also could expect the free hand drawing lines on this illustration. In these fashion illustrations, the human bodies let us fret the artists' tense, speed, and power. According to the important character of folk painting, which is the beauty of color, these fashion illustrations have expressed more color intensive. In the falk paintings there is a kind of rules to make color order, so the fashion illustrations that we drew have the bright and clear color combination. Because the folk paintings shouldn't be the artistic but should be the realistic, the fashion illustrations concentrate on the real subject. It is very natural looking that use the natural dyes in the fashion illustrations. According to this kind of art task, fashion illustration will be a certain part of the illustration in the modem society.
The culture and society environment plays major role in the development of Fashion and now in the 21st century, interest in Fashion is getting increased along with the rapid progress of advanced media development and information surge. Now it s the time to extend visual efficiency not only transmitting fashion image but also develop a creative product that satisfy the demander s needs. Currently it is very hard to express our subjective Korean "nationalism" in the Fashion since the various expression skill using western fashion illustration are dominant in our society. I have classified two components, fashion illustration and Korean painting in the theoretical circumstance. In fashion illustration circumstance, I examined the concept, usage, expression skill and history referring to historical documents. In Korean painting section, I considered coloring portrait concept, pattern, history, concept, and feature of the four gentlemanly plants. including the basic material of Korean-paper, Writing- Brush, Ink-Stone, Traditional-ink and also the history of itself. I have designed 8 products applying the concept of plum blossoms, orchids, chrysanthemums and bamboos that represent the most important part of the four gentlemanly plants, and also the expression skill of Korean coloring portrait.rait.
Body painting according to physical types is a method to express the body as it exists in nature or as an active element of nature. There is a need to research physical formation that applies the trend of contemporary naturalism to the types of nature art by emphasizing the artistic value of body painting with natural environmental overtones. Importantly, body painting according to physical types attempts an intact reproduction of natural objects and the reflection of the beauty of natural objects in body painting. Thus, the purpose of this study was to analyze body painting according to physical types based on the types of nature art. The methodology of the study included theoretical and empirical review. Theoretical review examined the characteristics of physical formation in nature art and relevant nature art works and body painting of physical types through previous research and literature. The empirical review applied analyses to works extracted from web sites of body painting. The study included physical type cases extracted from body painting works from 2005 to 2015 in foreign web sites(www.ilovebodyart.com and www.angel cakebodyart.com). Body painting works were based on the characteristics of physical types. As a result, the body painting of physical types based on nature art is as follows. First, organic continuity with nature art through the artists'thoughts and beliefs. Second, the specificity of place that respects the natural phenomenon itself. Third, the creative diversity of formative shapes for the body. Fourth, the social implications of body painting with human empathy. Fifth, immediacy to embody the artistic will of the artist. Finally, the application of physical types according to affinity with nature, as well as an independent artistic entity.

This study aimed to propose a fashion design development method using the external and internal characteristics of the flower and bird paintings in traditional Korean folk paintings. As a research method, external and internal characteristics of folk paintings were examined through previous studies and literature research, and folk painting patterns were developed into digital textile designs. Five 3D digital fashion designs were proposed using the CLO 3D program. The external characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: simplification and planarization of object representation, diversification of viewpoints, ignorance of perspective and symmetrical enumeration, strong colors and contrast effects, and the simultaneous representation of time. The internal characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: symbolic meaning, the beauty of free humor, modest aesthetics, complexity of reality and fantasy, and desire of shamanism. The results are as follows. Firstly, the flower and bird painting was a decorative painting style that emphasized decorative beauty and was suitable for developing fashion designs with Korean originality because of the symbolic and internal meanings. Simple layouts and bold free-spirited representations were effective ways to fill the screen with objects and gave the pattern a decorative effect. Secondly, developing a virtual clothing prototype based on digital design method using the external and internal characteristics of folk paintings and producing realistic fashion designs suggest the integrated use of science and technology, embodying modern fashion through the combination of digital fashion content and traditional cultural content. Thirdly, as a result of the development of 3D digital fashion designs, an eco-friendly and sustainable fashion design methods with virtual clothing can suggest a design development method that saves time and cost in the fashion design process while considering the environment.
It is essential to consider the heavy industrial working environment factors which are regarded as harmful to workers' health and safety and suitable work motion factors for the workers' motion while developing the work clothes for painting workers in the machinery and shipbuilding industries. This study suggests the use of 3D virtual clothing simulations as a solution to protect the human body from hazardous working conditions accompanying the development of painting work clothes and assessing the work motion performance associated with the comfort while workers wear them during the work clothes. The initial aim of the study is to examine a male avatar to run work motions simultaneously within a 3D virtual clothing simulator, secondly, to present the simulation images of coverall type men's painting work clothes with the application of two experimental painting work motions and one control motion to the avatar, and finally, to present the distance analysis images of the painting work clothes and the avatar body and air gap rates through the analysis of cross-sections of the avatar body while wearing the coverall work clothes according to the work motions. The results showed that the distance degree of painting work clothes to the avatar body for each part of the human body when performing painting work motions. Moreover, 3D virtual clothing simulations enabled the creation of a male model avatar to run painting work motions together and the painting work clothes developed were found to be suitable for the painting work motions.
These days, photoshop and illustrator program can make a fashion illustration express easily and speedily, And they can also express a feeling and sensitivity of fashion illustrator by a tool and effect more than a manual work's media. The purpose of this study was to analyze a visual expression and characteristics in fashion illustration using 2D graphics. The method of this study was to analyze the fashion illustration books using 2D graphics. The visual expressions in fashion illustration using 2D graphics were as follows: Fashion illustration was based on a sketch or photography, and used a composition, drawing, mapping, painting, and manual work's re-touching. Characteristics of visual expression were as follows: First, a image composition was showed discontinuity and heterogeneity of image, new context and composition, and allowance of reality. Second, image transform was showed image overlap, body transformation by image recomposition, and deformed transformation by vector drawing. Third, hyper-real was showed precise touching, mechanical and neutral image, omission of background and focus of an object's characteristic and information. Fourth, following a realistic expression was showed simplified color, shading, dominant view point of fashion illustrator by omission, and daily lift style. Fifth, following a pictorial expression was showed non-fixed and irregular line, natural painting, and drawing and painting by conventional pictorial media. In conclusion, a photoshop and illustrator in 2D graphics will serve as a new media far fashion illustration with a manual work. And they will not only intensify a capacity as a commercial role of fashion illustration but also present a positive motive for students learning a fashion illustration.

This study through the literature research to understand the most representative art trend - the definition and evolution of the Cubism in the early 20th century, and through the analysis on the representative painter's works, such as works of Pablo Ruiz Picasso and Georges Braque, This article raises the unique characteristics of the Cubist painting, such as geometry modeling, simultaneity, transparency, collage, deconstruction and reconstruction, etc. On the basis of theoretical research in this study, in order to meet the novelty and originality of clothing design requirements in the field, this research uses the modeling characteristics of the Cubist painting, designs and makes five sets of works in costume designing. Research findings are as follows, 1) According to the geometry modeling, split garment surface into triangle or irregular polygon shaped. 2) Show front and side images of the characters in the same garment surface. 3) Overlapping the images of the characters in the same garment surface. 4) Make use of composite materials to express the characters. 5) Disassemble the characters recombine them in an abstract painting way. These works mainly completed by adopting some techniques like Patchwork and Figurative painting. The colors consist of red, yellow and blue caused "Three primary colors series" to achieve the goal of expanding visual effect. Additionally, for the sake of the formal beauty-deformation distortion, symmetric and asymmetric, for instance the structure of the costume adopts formal beauty technique.
The result of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the result of the examination about the theoretical background of the monochrome was influenced by the minimalism and modernism, and consequently the abstract expressionism which is the main trend of the modern painting was formed basing upon the plane feature and unicolor character, and it was recognized that the custom of the plane feature was implied into the monochrome. Second, the aesthetic characteristics such as the beauty of body, beauty of simplicity, beauty of nature, beauty tradition, and beauty whole of the Korean monochrome paintings in 1970s were expressed in the modern fashion as follows. The beauty of body can be told as the dress which exposes the body or See-through look in the modern fashion. The beauty of simplicity is expressed as the most simple and non-decorating minimalism element. The beauty of nature is expressed by using the natural and convenient color without any artificiality. The beauty of tradition is expressed in the Han-bok natural white material. The beauty of whole is easily expressed by using repeated print, partition or overall harmonized beauty.
