  • Nowadays, it becomes a widespread and frequent practice that one content as a source is converted into diverse media formats. However, it is hard to answer the question whether the converted content might become successful again. That is mainly because one needs to have clear understanding about the characteristics of the target media format. This explains the phenomenon that there are very few successful movies which have been adapted from successful digital games. Thus, it is essential to conduct thorough and sufficient researches on the success factors of the adapted movies. The objective of this research is to investigate and analyze common factors of successful movies from digital games in terms of their visuals and narratives. We have found that successfully adapted movies from digital games shares three commonalities in the work of adaptation for effective cinematic impacts. Firstly, the adaptors of the successful movies have composed scripts with riveting storytelling through simplification, compression and removal of the original story. Secondly, they have satisfactorily re-implemented the original game avatars in the process of adaptation. Finally, they have effectively discovered inherent attractiveness of the original games and incorporated into the target movies with faithful following of cinematic grammar. We expect that our work contribute to reduce failure rate of the prospective movies converted from games by the proposed analysis of success factors shared among successfully adapted movies through the proposed case studies.

  • Transition process of plastic region. displacements, stresses and strains ahead the flaw tips were analysed by the finite element method on the steel plate with the circular hole and the one with the elliptical hole under completely alternating load (repetition of tensile loading, unloading and compressive loading). As the results, the followings were obtained. Transition process of elastic failure (yielding) region was estimated. From this the tendency was confirmed that the fracture would be initiated from ahead the flaw tip, and propagated along the $45^{\circ}$ direction. The fundamental data available in estimating the stress intensity factor that was considered as the core in analysing the fracture mechanism of steel plates were obtained. It was indicated that when unloading after tension the effect of compressive loading, and even the compressive reyield, was occured ahead the flaw tip. Similarly it was indicated that when unloading after compression the effect of tensile loading, and even the tensile reyield, was occured ahead the flaw tip. It was considered that these phenomena were occured because the unloading effect was constrained by the residual strains when unloading. It was considered that the fatigue phenomenon was occured ahead, the flaw tip by repetition of tensile yield, the above compressive reyield, compressive yeild and the above tensile reyield. In addition, the tendency was confirmed that the fracture ahead the flaw tip was occured as the flaw was changed from the circular hole to the elliptical hole and became to be the crack lastly.

  • Thermally induced bone necrosis during implant surgery is a rare phenomenon and a potential contributing factor to implant failure. The frictional heat generated at the time of surgery causes a certain degree of necrosis of the surrounding differentiated and undifferentiated cells. The bone necrosis occurred in the mandible in all three cases, leading to a soft tissue lesion and pain. In each case, radiolucent areas appeared in the middle and apical portions of the implant 4 weeks after surgery. Thermally induced bone necrosis did not improve following systemic antibiotic medication, necessitating surgical treatment. The nonintegrated implants were removed, and meticulous debridement of dead bone and granulation tissue was performed. Then, new implants were implanted along with the placement of autogenous and xenogenic bone covered with a collagen membrane. No further complications occurred after re-operation. The radiolucencies around the new implants gradually resolved entirely, and the soft tissue lesions healed successfully. At 4-5 months after reoperation, implant loading was initiated and the implant-supported restorations have been functioning. The aim of this case report is to present the successful clinical treatment of three cases suspected to be caused by thermally induced bone necrosis after implant drilling.

  • Objectives : In present, various definitions of Zhongshu are being used interchangeably in Korea. The paper attempted to discover the disease of Zhongshu as studied by Lidongyuan, who was ahead of his time. Methods : A database of medical books has been studied to find Lidongyuan's writings on the disease of Zhongshu, and mentions about Li's works in past medical books. The paper contemplated the subject by defining the disease of Zhongshu and reviewing the disputes related to the subject. Results & Conclusions : Lidongyuan gave a detailed explanation on the fact that Zhangjiegu distinguished between Zhongshu and Zhongre, and this was influenced by Shangshu as mentioned in Taipinghuiminhejijufang. Therefore, it can be deduced that he was aware of the fact that summerheat-heat as latent summer heat syndrome is lurking inside the body, not being able to be released. According to the disease of Zhongshu by Lidongyuan, yin cold was receieved secondary after first receiving summerheat-heat. It is either summerheat damaged defensive qi, failure in storing the essence made defensive qi weak, or seasonal reasons have caused the defensive qi to be drained and leave the body exposed to damage by summerheat. This is because the fundamental main cause is the hitting of summerheat, since yin cold was received after the presence of summerheat-heat is made first. Many doctors in the following generation criticized that Lidongyuan's disease of Zhongshu cannot be named as a Zhongshu due to its similarity with Shanghan. However, they cannot be viewed as similar since it is a phenomenon where yin cold becomes congested while the body is weak and heat is generated in the body due to summerheat-heat. The doctors who said they were similar only focused on the external cause that was only the superficial issue. According to Lidongyuan's method, the right way to treat a Zhongshu disease is to use the method of tonifying the qi and eliminating the heat in conjunction with eliminating the internal dampness or treat the external syndrome, or to use a formula to tonify the qi and eliminate the fire heat before eliminating the internal dampness or treating the external syndrome.

  • Antimicrobial resistance has been a well-recognized problem ever since the introduction of penicillin into clinical use. History of antimicrobial development can be categorized based on the major antibiotics that had been developed against emerging resistant $pathogens^1$. In the first period from 1940 to 1960, penicillin was a dominating antibiotic called as a "magic bullet", although S.aureus armed with penicillinase led antimicrobial era to the second period in 1960s and 1970s. The second stage was characterized by broad-spectrum penicillins and early generation cephalosporins. During this period, nosocomial infections due to gram-negative bacilli became more prevalent, while those caused by S.aureus declined. A variety of new antimicrobial agents with distinct mechanism of action including new generation cephalosporins, monobactams, carbapenems, ${\beta}$-lactamase inhibitors, and quinolones characterized the third period from 1980s to 1990s. However, extensive use of wide variety of antibiotics in the community and hospitals has fueled the crisis in emerging antimicrobial resistance. Newly appeared drug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae (DRSP), vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), extended-spectrum ${\beta}$-lactamase-producing Klebsiella, and VRSA have posed a serious threat in many parts of the world. Given the recent epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance and its clinical impact, there is no greater challenge related to emerging infections than the emergence of antibiotic resistance. Problems of antimicrobial resistance can be amplified by the fact that resistant clones or genes can spread within or between the species as well as to geographically distant areas which leads to a global concern$^2$. Antimicrobial resistance is primarily generated and promoted by increased use of antimicrobial agents. Unfortunately, as many as 50 % of prescriptions for antibiotics are reported to be inappropriate$^3$. Injudicious use of antibiotics even for viral upper respiratory infections is a universal phenomenon in every part of the world. The use of large quantities of antibiotics in the animal health industry and farming is another major factor contributing to selection of antibiotic resistance. In addition to these background factors, the tremendous increase in the immunocompromised hosts, popular use of invasive medical interventions, and increase in travel and mixing of human populations are contributing to the resurgence and spread of antimicrobial resistance$^4$. Antimicrobial resistance has critical impact on modem medicine both in clinical and economic aspect. Patients with previously treatable infections may have fatal outcome due to therapeutic failure that is unusual event no more. The potential economic impact of antimicrobial resistance is actually uncountable. With the increase in the problems of resistant organisms in the 21st century, however, additional health care costs for this problem must be enormously increasing.

  • Statement of problem. The implant prosthesis has been utilized in various clinical cases thanks to its increase in scientific effective application. The relevant implant therapy should have the high success rate in osseointegration, and the implant prosthesis should last for a long period of time without failure. Resorption of the peri-implant alveolar bone is the most frequent and serious problem in implant prosthesis. Excessive concentration of stress from the occlusal force and biopressure around the implant has been known to be the main cause of the bone destruction. Therefore, to decide the location and angulation of the implant is one of the major considering factors for the stress around the implant fixture to be dispersed in the limit of bio-capacity of load support for the successful and long-lasting clinical result. Yet, the detailed mechanism of this phenomenon is not well understood. To some extent, this is related to the paucity of basic science research. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to perform the stress analysis of the implant prosthesis in the partially edentulous mandible according to the different nature locations and angulations using three dimensional finite element method. Material and methods, Three 3.75mm standard implants were placed in the area of first and second bicuspids, and first molar in the mandible Thereafter, implant prostheses were fabricated using UCLA abutments. Five experimental groups were designed as follows : 1) straight placement of three implants, 2) 5$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants, 3) 10$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants. 4) lingual offset placement of three implants, and 5) buccal offset placement of three implants. Average occlusal force with a variation of perpendicular and 30$^{\circ}$ angulation was applied on the buccal cusp of each implant prosthesis, followed by the measurement of alteration and amount of stress on each configurational implant part and peri-implant bio-structures. The results of this study are extracted from the comparison between the distribution of Von mises stress and the maximum Von mises stress using three dimensional finite element stress analysis for each experimental group. Conclusion. The conclusions were as follows : 1. Providing angulations of the fixture did not help in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible. 2. It is beneficial to place the fixture in a straight vertical direction, since bio-pressure in the peri-implant bone increases when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 3. It is important to select an appropriate prosthodontic material that prevents fractures, since the bio-pressure is concentrated on the prosthodontic structures when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 4. Offset placement of the fixtures is effective in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible.

  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem disorder where the etiology is not clearly known. Symptomatic chronic interstitial pneumonitis is an uncommon manifestation, with a reported prevalence of 3~13%. Achalasia is rare disease that presents with failure in the relaxation of the esophagus sphincter. A 22-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of fever, cough and dyspnea. The patient had a history of pericardial effusion and Raynaud's phenomenon. The results of laboratory tests indicated the presence of lymphopenia and included positive antibody tests for antinuclear antibody and anti Sm antibody. A chest X-ray demonstrated the presence of peribronchial infiltration on both lung fields. A Chest CT image showed interlobar septal thickening, ground-glass opacity and a honeycomb appearance in both lung fields and esophageal dilatation with air fluid level. An esophagogram showed the presence of dilated esophagus ends that represented the non-relaxed lower esophageal sphincter. Manometry demonstrated incomplete sphincter relaxation. The case was diagnosed as systemic lupus erythematosus associated with interstitial pneumonia and achalasia.

  • Smaller size and higher integration of electronic components make smaller gap between metal conducting layers in electronic package. Under harsh environmental conditions (high temperature/humidity), electronic component respond to applied voltages by electrochemically ionization of metal and metal filament formation, which lead to short failure and this phenomenon is termed electrochemical migration(ECM). In this work, printed circuit board(PCB) is used for determination of ECM characteristics. Copper leads of PCB are soldered by eutectic solder alloys. Insulation breakdown time is measured at $85^{\circ}C,\;85{\%}RH$. CAF is the main mechanism of ECM at PCB. Pb is more susceptible to CAF rather than Sn, which corresponds well to the corrosion resistance of solder materials in aqueous environment. Polarization tests in chloride or chloride-free solutions fur pure metal and eutectic solder alloys are performed to understand ECM characteristics. Lifetime results show well defined log-normal distribution which resulted in biased voltage factor(n=2) by voltage scaling. Details on migration mechanism and lifetime statistics will be presented and discussed.

  • Approximately 64 percent of Korean territory is covered with mountains, and there is occurred a continuous mountain disaster such as landslide, debris flow and slope failure around mountain slopes due to heavy rainfall and typhoon in the summer season. Even in such a reality, the development of mountain areas is being carried out through the development and expansion of social infrastructures centered on mountain areas, but systematic management is insufficient. Constructions of a forest road facility for mountain slopes can be a cause of mountain disasters intensively in the summer season due to artificially changing the mountain area. In this unstable mountain environment, efforts to build a disaster-resistant environment are urgently needed. This research is to analyze the stability of mountain slopes according to soil depth (1~5 m) and mountain slope ($20{\sim}60^{\circ}$) considering the characteristics of rainfall infiltration under extreme rainfall conditions. As a result, the stability of the mountain slope was found to be different according to the depth of soils and the saturation area of the soil layer. As well as the stability of the mountain area was found to be lower than that of the natural mountain area. Specially, rainfall infiltration occurs at the upper slope of the forest road. For this reason, the runoff phenomenon of rainfall infiltration water occurs clearly when the depth of soil layer is low.

  • In this paper, a small-area 32-bit differential paired eFuse OTP memory for power ICs is designed. In case of smaller number of rows than that of columns for the OTP memory cell array, a scheme for the cell array reducing the number of SL driver circuits requiring their larger layout areas by routing the SL (source line) lines supplying programming currents for eFuse links in the row direction instead of the column direction as well as a core circuit is proposed. In addition, to solve a failure of being blown for non-blown eFuse links by the electro-migration phenomenon, a regulated voltage of V2V ($=2V{\pm}0.2V$) is used to a RWL (read word line) driver circuit and a BL (bit line) pull-up driver circuit. The layout size of the designed 32-bit eFuse OTP memory is $228.525{\mu}m{\times}105.435{\mu}m$, which is confirmed to be 20.7% smaller than that of the counterpart using the conventional cell array routing, namely $197.485{\mu}m{\times}153.715{\mu}m$.
