공동주택 방화문의 사용연수에 따른 불량률 도출을 위한 현장조사 (A Field Survey to Derive Defect Rate According to the Years of Use of Fire Doors in Apartment House)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the failure conditions of fire doors in the process of use and prepare maintenance measures against them and find out the failure conditions and failure rates of fire doors according to the period of use of buildings. According to a survey of the failure rate and failure factor of fire doors, the failure rate of fire doors under 5 years was 3.7%, 13.4% of fire doors under 5 years and 10 years, and 14.8% of fire doors under 15 years and 27.6% of fire doors over 20 years. In particular, 15 years later, the failure rate of fire doors exceeded 20%. The main defects were found to be natural aging, holes, opening and closing failures, gaps, and failure and wear of accessories such as gaskets and door closers.

  • 무기 체계(or 구성품) 개발은 한정된 개발기간과 비용 등의 제한으로 시험 횟수가 많지 않아, 고장관련 축적된 데이터의 규모도 적다. 그러나 운용 중 발생한 고장 및 정비내역은 많은 부분 전산 데이터로 관리하고 있기 때문에 이를 활용한 무기 체계(or 구성품)의 고장원인 분석은 가능하다. 다만 다양한 무기체계의 고장 및 정비내역 작성 규격이 각 군 별, 업체별 상이하고, 고장 원인의 구체적 내역은 비정형 텍스트 데이터로 기술되어 있기 때문에 이를 분석하는데 어려움이 있었다. 그러나 오늘날 빅데이터 처리 기술과 기계학습(Machine Learning) 알고리즘의 발전, HW연산 능력의 개선과 맞물려, 상기와 같은 비정형 데이터를 처리 할 수 있는 여러 가지 방법들이 시도 되고 있으며, 주요한 연구 분야로 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국방 무기 체계(or 구성품)의 고장/정비 관련 비정형 데이터를 기계학습 기법 중 하나인 doc2vec을 적용하여 고장사례 분석 방안에 대하여 제시한다.

Association of Congestive Heart Failure and Death with Ankylosing Spondylitis : A Nationwide Longitudinal Cohort Study in Korea

  • Objective : We attempted to discover that Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) has a comprehensive relationship with congestive heart failure and death. Methods : We used a nationwide database managed by the Korean National Health Insurance Service from 2010 to 2014. Twelve thousand nine hundred eighty-eight patients with a diagnosis of AS and 64940 age- and sex- stratified matching subjects without AS were enrolled in the AS and control groups. Incidence probabilities of 6 years congestive heart failure and death in each group were calculated. The Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was used to estimate the hazard ratio. We divided the AS and control groups into subgroups according to sex, age, income, and comorbidities. Results : During the follow-up period, 102 patients (0.79%) in the AS group and 201 patients (0.32%) in the control group developed congestive heart failure (p<0.0001). In addition, 211 (1.62%) subjects in the AS group died during the follow-up period compared to 639 (0.98%) subjects in the control group (p<0.0001). The adjusted hazard ratio of congestive heart failure and death in the AS group was 2.28 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.80-2.89) and 1.66 (95% CI, 1.42-1.95), respectively. The hazard ratios of congestive heart failure and death were significantly increased in all of the subgroups. Conclusion : The incidence rates of congestive heart failure and death were increased in AS patients.

  • This paper investigates the current established preventive maintenance and its corresponding data on a point machine among railway signalling facilities and suggests a part of considerable plans when the policy of the preventive maintenance is modified. It is not appropriated to apply the optimized preventive replacement period considered with the cost simply. In that case, it is suggested that the reliability should be analyzed failure mode and effects through collecting the on-site failure data sufficiently. Then, that result can be proposed to adjust the proper criteria into the rational way by comparing the initial maintenance criteria. In this paper, the alternative way to determine the feasibility of the inspection period using failure probability is introduced.

고장원인이 여럿인 제품의 사용현장 데이터 분석 (Field data analyses for products with multiple-modes of failure)

  • 사용현장에서의 고장데이터는 미리 정해진 보증기간동안 고장이 발생한 제품으로부터 얻어지는 고장시간, 고장원인, 설명변수값과 보증기간동안 고장나지 않는 제품 중 일정비율을 추적조사하여 얻은 설명변수 값들로 구성된다. 사용현장에서 얻어지는 이와 같은 데이터를 이용하여 제품수명분포의 모수가 설명변수와 대수선형관계일 때, 수명분포의 모수에 대한 의사(pseudo) 최우추정량을 구하고 그 점근성질을 규명하였으며, 고장원인별 제품수명이 와이블분포를 따를 때의 의사최우추정량과 점근분산을 구하였다. 제품의 보증기간이 달력시간이고 제품의 고장이 운영시간에 의존하는 경우와 제품의 보증이 달력시간과 운영시간의 혼합인 경우의 분석방법도 제시하였다. 또한 모의 실험을 통하여 추적조사비율에 따른 효과를 알아보았다.

  • This paper addresses the Fault Monitoring System developed by Hyundai-Rotem based on the Mil-HDBK-2155 Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System. The purpose of a FRACAS is to provide a documented history of any problems, failures, their associated corrective actions as well as detailing how and why each problem arose or failure occurred during the Warranty Period for Rolling Stock delivered by Hyundai-Rotem. The Fault Monitoring System can assess the reliability, availability and maintainability as well as can predict no. of failure at a time which can input to Life Cycle Cost.

Warranty cost modeling using the parametric method

  • In the paper, we consider two-dimensional warranty policy with failure times and repair times. The failure times are considered within the warranty period and the repair times are considered within the repair time limit. Under the renewable warranty policy and non-renewable warranty policy, we consider the number of warranty services in the censored area by warranty period and repair time limit to conduct warranty cost analysis. We investigate the field data to check their dependency and implement our proposed approaches to conduct warranty cost analysis using the parametric methods. Numerical examples are discussed to demonstrate the applicability of the methodologies and results based on the proposed approach in the paper.

Optimal Burn-in Time under Cumulative Pro-Rata Replacement Warranty

  • In this paper, optimal bum-in time to minimize the total mean cost, which is the sum of manufacturing cost with burn-in and cumulative warranty-related cost, is obtained. When the products with cumulative pro-rata warranty have high failure rate in the early period (infant mortality period), a burn-in procedure is adopted to eliminate early product failures. After burn-in, the posterior product life distribution and the warranty-related cost are dependent on burn-in time; long burn-in period may reduce the warranty-related cost, but it increases the manufacturing cost. The paper provides a methodology to obtain total mean cost under burn-in and cumulative pro-rata warranty. Property of the optimal burn-in time is analyzed, and numerical examples and sensitivity analysis are studied.

Optimizing Concurrent Spare Parts Inventory Levels for Warships Under Dynamic Conditions

  • The inventory level of concurrent spare parts (CSP) has a significant impact on the availability of a weapon system. A failure rate function might be of particular importance in deciding the CSP inventory level. We developed a CSP optimization model which provides a compromise between purchase costs and shortage costs on the basis of the Weibull and the exponential failure rate functions, assuming that a failure occurs according to the (non-) homogeneous Poisson process. Computational experiments using the data obtained from the Korean Navy identified that, throughout the initial provisioning period, the optimization model using the exponential failure rate tended to overestimate the optimal CSP level, leading to higher purchase costs than the one using the Weibull failure rate. A Pareto optimality was conducted to find an optimal combination of these two failure rate functions as input parameters to the model, and this provides a practical solution for logistics managers.
