조리실기 과목의 원격교육 활용을 위한 실증연구 - 2년제 조리전공 대학생을 대상으로 한 한식교과목을 중심으로 - (Application of Distance Learning to Practical Cooking Class - With a Focus on Korean Food Cooking Class in Culinary College Students -)

  • The current research aims to verify whether distance learning can be adopted in practical cooking class for Korean foods in a two-year college. The distance learning education can be a supplementary method to the traditional cooking class. The face-to-face teaching method and the distance learning method were compared in order to determine which of the one is more effective teaching method in the practical cooking class. The results of the present experimental study were analyzed based on the participant's learning expectation and satisfaction, the evaluation of the experimental process, and the academic performance. The results of this study showed that the participants in the face-to-face class evaluated their class experience higher than those in the distance learning class with respect to the participant's learning expectation and satisfaction, and the evaluation of the experimental process. On the contrary, regarding the academic performance, the participants in the distance learning class showed higher scores than those in the face-to-face class. The end result supports the claim that the distance learning method is more effective in the participants for gaining cooking knowledge.

COVID-19 상황으로 인한 대면과 온라인 수업에서 간호대학생의 수행자신감, 학습몰입도가 실습 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Confidence in Performance and Learning Flow on Satisfaction with Practicum Programs in Face-to-Face and Online Classes amid COVID-19)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the relationship between satisfaction with fundamental nursing skills practicum, confidence in fundamental nursing skills performance and learning flow, and examined factors influencing satisfaction with practicum programs of fundamental nursing skills in face-to-face and online classes for nursing students amid COVID-19. Methods: The subjects of the study were 229 junior nursing students from two colleges of nursing located in D and C city, respectively. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical multiple regression, using SPSS/WINdows 23.0. Results: The subjects' satisfaction with practicum showed a high positive correlation with confidence in performance (r=.55, p<.001) and learning flow (r=.70, p<.001) in face-to-face classes, and their satisfaction with practicum showed a high positive correlation with confidence in performance (r=.56, p<.001) and learning flow (r=.73, p<.001) in online classes. The factors affecting the subjects' satisfaction with practicum were learning flow (β=.51, p<.001) and confidence in performance (β=.30, p<.001) for face-to-face classes, and motivation for application (β=.14, p=.034), learning flow (β=.58 p<.001) and confidence in performance (β=.19, p=.015) for online classes. These factors explained 53% and 60% of the satisfaction with practicum in face-to-face classes (F=23.07, p<.001) and online classes (F=20.66, p<.001), respectively. Conclusion: Learning flow and confidence in performance should be considered when developing learning strategy programs to improve nursing students' satisfaction with fundamental nursing skills practicum in both face-to-face and online classes.

대면/비대면 교육환경에서의 학습만족도(일부 치위생과 신입생을 대상으로) (A Learning Satisfaction in face-to-face/non-face-to-face Educational Environments of New Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 코로나-19로 인한 일부 치위생과 신입생의 대면과 비대면 수업방법에 따른 학습만족도에 대한 연구로 신입생의 학습만족도를 높이기 위한 방안을 마련하고자 시행하였다. 2020년 10월부터 11월까지 광주광역시에 소재한 G대학 학생 122명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시했다. 대상자의 일반적인 특성, 수업적 특성, 수업방법, 학습만족도를 조사하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 분석했다. 학생들이 선택한 효율적인 실기수업방법은 대면수업이었고 수업선택에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 일반적인 특성에 따른 학습만족도는 술기능력향상을 위해 선호하는 실습수업방법에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 대면수업과 비대면수업의 전체학습만족도는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았지만 수업 중의 점검과 선택한 수업방법의 편리성 항목에서 대면수업이 유의하게 높은 학습만족도를 나타냈다. 또한 학습만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과 대면수업선택이 유의한 변수로 확인되었다. 따라서 신입생의 학습만족도를 높이기 위해 실습수업 계획 시 대면수업이 필수적으로 포함된 수업을 설계하는 것이 필요하다.

언택트 시대에 비대면 수업이 의류학 분야 대학생의 핵심역량 수준에 미치는 영향: 플립러닝 기법의 적용 사례를 중심으로 (The Effect of Non-Face-to-Face Class on Core Competencies of College Students in Clothing Major: Focused on Application Case of Flipped Learning)

  • 본 연구는 코로나19 사태 이후 증가한 비대면 수업의 효과성을 측정하기 위해 대학 수업에서 강조되고 있는 핵심역량과 학습 만족도를 사용하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 충북 청주에 있는 S 대학교에서 진행되는 의류학 이론 전공 1개 교과목에서 플립러닝(flipped learning)이 적용된 비대면 수업을 진행하고 해당 교과목에 설정된 주요 핵심역량인 문제해결 역량을 중심으로 3가지 세부 영역인 문제분석력, 자원·정보·기술활용 능력, 융·복합적 사고력 및 전반적인 학습 만족도에서 비대면 수업 사전-사후 차이를 검증하였다. 연구결과 학생들은 플립러닝이 적용된 비대면 수업에 참여한 후, 3가지 문제해결 역량 세부 영역에서 능력이 향상되었다고 인식하고 있었으며 전반적인 학습 만족도도 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 기존에 의류학 전공 분야에서 비대면 수업에 대한 효과 측정은 주로 패션디자인과 의복 구성 교과목에서 수행되었지만, 본 연구결과를 토대로 이론 중심의 강의식 수업에서 플립러닝과 같은 교수·학습법이 적용된 비대면 수업 진행은 학습자의 전공 지식 습득을 넘어 문제해결 역량과 같은 대학생 핵심역량의 향상에도 효과적인 방법이라 제언할 수 있다. 본 연구는 의류학 전공 교과목 중 이론 중심의 수업에 학습자 중심의 비대면 수업 방식의 적용 사례와 그 효과를 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있으며 대학생 핵심역량 향상을 위한 차별화된 비대면 수업 설계 전략에 기초자료가 되리라 생각한다.

A Case Study of Using PBL

  • This study examines the effectiveness of the study through a case of PBL(problem-based-learning) class conducted in a balanced culture course called at 00- University in the second semester of 2020. The effects of learning are as follows: First, PBL(problem-based-learning) has sufficient active interaction between the teacher and the learner. In the face of prolonged non-face-to-face learning, the PBL teaching method has sufficient interaction between the professors-learner and the learner. Second, PBL learning can actively utilize various problems that fit the characteristics of the subject and actively utilize the process of role sharing and collaboration. By presenting various problem situations suitable for the subject, students will be able to share roles individually or as a team, and fully experience the process of collaboration and discussion in the process of investigating the data. Third, critical perceptions of problem situations can be extended. In modern times, a variety of problem situations arise and critical perceptions of them must be fully learned. In a mass production and mass consumption society, students should develop the ability to blindly recognize and distinguish between real and fake information in a flood of information. The limitations identified in this class case are, first, the nature of the subject, "Understanding Culture and Philosophy," which makes it possible to discuss the global cultural phenomenon, but it should be discussed in terms of philosophy. Second, it is not easy to work as a team on non-face-to-face online. Nevertheless, PBL is a very effective method of learning in which active interactions and learning activities take place between professors and students, whether face-to-face or face-to-face online learning.

Are Traditional Motivation Theories Used in Face-to-Face Classes Valid in an E-learning Environment?: Focusing on the Self-Determination Theory

  • This research aims to develop an elementary school English e-learning system based on the 'Self-determination theory (SDT)', which is widely applied to traditional face-to-face foreign language classes. The study also attempts to verify whether SDT-a traditional motivational theory that has been applied to face-to-face classes- is effective in an e-Learning environment with students who use this newly developed system. For the purposes of this project, the following three actions were carried out. First, a motivational strategy based on SDT was deduced. In SDT, the needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness were introduced as basic psychological needs, and assumed that these three needs provided the natural motivation for learning, growth, and development. Second, an e-Learning system was created based on the deduced motivational strategy. Third, the system was implemented in 115 private tuition academies, and education was provided to 1,400 users for one year across the country. Afterwards, by surveying users, correlation between the role of the three psychological needs in learning English, and also the correlation between each need and motivation were investigated. Research results showed that traditional motivational theories used in face-to-face classes so far were effective in an e-Learning environment.

Study On Masked Face Detection And Recognition using transfer learning

  • COVID-19 is a crisis with numerous casualties. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the use of masks as an essential safety measure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, whether or not to wear a mask is an important issue when entering and exiting public places and institutions. However, this makes face recognition a very difficult task because certain parts of the face are hidden. As a result, face identification and identity verification in the access system became difficult. In this paper, we propose a system that can detect masked face using transfer learning of Yolov5s and recognize the user using transfer learning of Facenet. Transfer learning preforms by changing the learning rate, epoch, and batch size, their results are evaluated, and the best model is selected as representative model. It has been confirmed that the proposed model is good at detecting masked face and masked face recognition.

Physiological Neuro-Fuzzy Learning Algorithm for Face Recognition

  • This paper presents face features detection and a new physiological neuro-fuzzy learning method by using two-dimensional variances based on variation of gray level and by learning for a statistical distribution of the detected face features. This paper reports a method to learn by not using partial face image but using global face image. Face detection process of this method is performed by describing differences of variance change between edge region and stationary region by gray-scale variation of global face having featured regions including nose, mouse, and couple of eyes. To process the learning stage, we use the input layer obtained by statistical distribution of the featured regions for performing the new physiological neuro-fuzzy algorithm.

A Study of Machine Learning based Face Recognition for User Authentication

  • According to brilliant development of smart devices, many related services are being devised. And, almost every service is designed to provide user-centric services based on personal information. In this situation, to prevent unintentional leakage of personal information is essential. Conventionally, ID and Password system is used for the user authentication. This is a convenient method, but it has a vulnerability that can cause problems due to information leakage. To overcome these problem, many methods related to face recognition is being researched. Through this paper, we investigated the trend of user authentication through biometrics and a representative model for face recognition techniques. One is DeepFace of FaceBook and another is FaceNet of Google. Each model is based on the concept of Deep Learning and Distance Metric Learning, respectively. And also, they are based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model. In the future, further research is needed on the equipment configuration requirements for practical applications and ways to provide actual personalized services.

TOEIC의 디지털 융복합 블렌디드 학습과 면대면 학습의 비교 연구 (A Comparison of Learning Effectiveness in Face-to-face versus Blended Learning of TOEIC)

  • 본 연구자는 TOEIC 블렌디드 학습을 운영하면서 면대면 학습과 학습효과를 비교할 필요성을 느꼈다. 학습효과가 떨어질 경우에는 블렌디드 학습을 중단하기 위해서였다. 따라서 본 연구자는 학습자들의 한 학기 동안의 성적 향상도, 학습자들의 자가진단 점수, 온라인 과제 참여도와 문제풀이 평균점수를 활용하여 두 학습을 비교하였다. 이러한 비교를 하기 위해 t-test, 피어슨 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 큰 차이는 아니라 할지라도 블렌디드 학습이 면대면 학습보다 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그 이유는 블렌디드 학습의 학습자들이 오프라인 수업과 수업 게시판을 통해 교수자와 소통할 수 있는 반면, 매주 온라인 수업의 출석을 독려하는 문자를 받았으며, 학습자들의 온라인 수업의 참여가 온라인 과제 또한 적극적으로 참여할 수 있게 영향을 끼친 탓이라고 분석하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 TOEIC 블렌디드 학습을 운영하고자 하는 교수자들에게 많은 참고가 될 것이다.
