The purpose of this study is to develop a extracurricular programs for enhancing creative self-efficacy of college student based on design thinking process, and to examine the effectiveness of the developed program. Since this study is also interested in suggesting the procedure for extracurricular program development and optimizing programs by derivation of improvements, a design-based research method was applied. Results are as follow; first, the procedure for extracurricular program development proceeds in three stages, second, the programs was developed as a 30-hour in-depth program and was conducted twice during winter and summer vacation, and the last, the program was confirmed that it has a positive effect on improving creative self-efficacy. This study contributed to providing a general procedure that can be referred when developing a program that reflects the context of the university, and to present the specific program and the case that use the test tool to confirm the effectiveness.

This study conducted a survey of 330 students participating in the extracurricular curriculum program at K University in Chungcheongbuk-do to analyze the impact of extracurricular satisfaction and career decision self-efficacy on career preparation behavior. The main results and implications are as follows. First, the positive perception of participation in extracurricular curriculum programs had a significant impact on career preparation behavior. Second, high career decision self-efficacy was related to active career preparation behavior. It is necessary to provide continuous career program support, provide counseling tailored to the needs of each student, and establish a systematic career diagnosis system. This study is limited to extracurricular curriculum program participants and has limitations in generalization. Comparative and analytical research is needed by measuring the performance of various educational programs conducted in universities. It is necessary to support the development and operation of various extracurricular curriculum programs that reflect the needs of society and students and to prepare continuous quality management measures.
The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of learning by running an extracurricular program to make effective learning of unfamiliar and difficult programming education possible for students in the humanities. Analysis of learning-related data for one semester of lectures that were collected from 70 humanities students in departments A and B, data collected from a creative convergence app development contest extracurricular program, and data obtained through a questionnaire show that extracurricular program activities affect academic performance. The results of the core competency diagnosis test for students that was conducted before and after participating in the curriculum showed that core competencies improved for both A and B departments after participating in the curriculum. This study shows that extracurricular program activities can help individuals improve their abilities, while also providing customized guidance to reclusive students to improve their academic performance. By carrying out customized coaching for each department to develop apps related to the major field rather than general apps, we hope for improvements in ability to solve problems by converging with the major field, computational thinking, and creative thinking, in the future.

This study was conducted with the purpose of exploring the dilemma and improvement strategies for the integrated management of extracurricular education programs at Duksung Women's University. The research method was finally composed of a procedure with a meeting of experts based on the procedure of collecting and analyzing the previous research literature. As for the contents of the study, the dilemma of the integrated management of the extracurricular education program at Duksung Women's University was presented first. Examples of dilemmas include difficulties in organizing and operating programs from the perspective of a roadmap customized for each grade level, difficulties in establishing a foundation for balanced mapping of core competencies and cultivating programs, difficulties in managing the performance of regular program monitoring and feedback improvement, and activating the linkage system between subjects and extracurricular education programs difficulties and difficulties in establishing a support system for the operation of the extracurricular education integrated management system were reflected. In addition, a strategy to complement and improve this dilemma was presented in a linkage. As a result of the study, the integrated management dilemma of Duksung Women's University's extracurricular education programs needs to be resolved in the long term through formal infrastructure such as external expert advice and expert exchange, and the development and use of related manuals should be considered aspects were analyzed. In addition, the content of this study was analyzed not only in the educational case of Duksung Women's University, but also in that it deals with cases that can be usefully referenced in most universities that develop and operate extracurricular education programs. Finally, this study presents an evidence-based practices that can be referenced in promoting the integrated management of extracurricular education programs in university sites, and the position and identity of extracurricular education throughout the university curriculum. It is judged that the significance and expected effect of the study can be obtained in that it provides an opportunity to improve from the management point of view.
The goal of this study is to investigate the course development for the Korean students in the immersion English program. This study describes the detailed curriculum and makes some suggestions to improve the courses for regular, extracurricular, and special activities in the five-week immersion English program managed by KAIST in summer 2001. This immersion English program was designed to develop the students' communicative competence in speaking English with native speakers in the age of globalization, by providing students with the English-speaking immersion setting. The results of the students' tests and the data concerning the program revealed that the program was very significant in improving students' communicative competence focused on communication and presentation and in attaining the high motivation for the natural English communication by performing the student-centered and task-based extracurricular activities and special events.
This study aims to develop and operate an extracurricular program based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by applying the design thinking methodology to enable engineering students to discover and solve relatable local problems in the field of intelligent robots in order to foster creative and convergent engineering talents. As a result of the analysis, the overall satisfaction score was 4.55 or higher, all related competencies increased, and the students' final results also showed a connection with the SDGs topic in the field of intelligent robots. At a time when SDGs are establishing sustainable activities as an important evaluation index in university education, it is expected that the development case of this program can be utilized in the development of a convergence program for engineering students to foster creative and convergent talents who can lead the future society along with the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop extracurricular coaching programs to improve communication skills and leadership for nursing students and evaluate the effects of the programs. Methods: The 8-week extracurricular coaching program was developed based on the Joo, Whitmore and Hong models. A quasi-experimental design was used. The subjects were selected by two full-time nursing professors training students at one university in city G. The subjects were chosen from among the advisees of these two professors. Of the students who participated in this study, 29 were in the experimental group and 27 were in the control group. Data was analyzed through t-test and Mann Whitney U-test. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher post-test scores in communication skills, communication as a nursing outcome, observation of communication, leadership, and leadership as a nursing outcome than those of the control group. However, the experimental group did not reveal significantly higher post-test scores in the number of leadership activities using a portfolio than those of the control group. Conclusion: This extracurricular coaching program can help cultivate important, basic grounding as well as achieve nursing student learning outcomes upon graduation.
This study aims to develop and implement a coaching program in the metaverse space to address issues faced by university students during their life stage and verify their effectiveness. The overall program consists of four sessions: "Opening," "Metaverse-based Coaching Clinic (2 sessions)," and "Coaching Clinic Reflection and Feedback." A total of 20 participants were selected through S University's extracurricular program system. To assess the effectiveness of the program, surveys, as well as focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted. Using SPSS 26.0, significant differences were observed in the participants' career decision self-efficacy and resilience. The FGIs were conducted with a total of four participants divided into two groups, with each group lasting for one hour. The analysis revealed key phases, including the introductory phase comprising participants' motivation and expectations, the main phases consisting of program operation, coaching perception and outcomes, metaverse environment, and metaverse coaching perception and outcomes, as well as the concluding phase in which recommendations are suggested for subsequent programs. The study confirmed the significant impact of coaching in the metaverse space and highlighted the maximization of coaching effectiveness through mutual anonymity facilitated by avatars. This research holds significance as an exploratory study that practically verifies the potential expansion of the metaverse environment in the coaching field.
The purpose of this study was to investigate Korean elementary school children's extracurricular activities by gender, grade and area from a sample of 3,608 children in six Korean provincial areas except Jeju-do. They responded to the questionnaire developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed by frequency and percent using the SPSS PC 15.0 program. Results were as follows: Firstly, 3,337 children(92.5%) participated in extracurricular activities, and the rest(7.5%) did not. This result illustrates that the majority of Korean elementary school children are taking part in at least one or more out-of-school activities. Secondly, the average number of extracurricular activities in which elementary school children participated was 8.48 and the average time allotted was 655.24 minutes; each child took about 8 activities and spent approximately 10 hours per week. Thirdly, main extracurricular activities in which children participated were to go to educational institutes, to take art/physical education lessons, and to study self-learning materials. Lastly, what elementary school children wish to do most in their spare time was to play the computer games, to take a rest, to enjoy family and friend relationships, and to watch the television.

The purpose This study was conducted to explore the procedures and plans to establish a university-based lifelong education support system for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University. The research method consisted of expert consultation. Chosun University not only has various units of major(department) that can deepen and integrate knowledge and technology related to lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, but also has various leadership and various infrastructures that can lead the practice of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities in Gwangju and Jeonnam areas. The contents of this study were presented five procedures and plans such as the establishment of maintenance and convergence of majors (departments) units, the development and operation of department-led regional-linked education programs through extracurricular education, the introduction of majors in connection with extracurricular education program-linked courses, the selection of core departments, the establishment of cooperative courses between university and graduate schools, and the establishment and operation of lifelong education programs for the individuals with disabilities centered on lifelong education centers. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the academic foundation of lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities, the guarantee of educational opportunities for the individuals with disabilities, and the lead of linkage between local related organizations can be expected through the establishment of the support system for lifelong education for the individuals with disabilities at Chosun University.
