  • This study is to develop the end anchorage of external steel reinforcement of RC slab bridges. External prestress method using the existing steel is that When the anchorage is installed in slab end, a plenty of anchor bolts were required because the only tangential stress of anchor bolt received a tendon force. Then, for this reason, the wide end anchorage was required and the shape was complicate. But this reinforcement method using method that inserts anchor key at concrete surface cut a groove gets big internal force comparing to the anchorage using existing anchor bolt. Furthermore, the number of anchor bolt for installing apparently will be reduced, and the operation will be convenient because a small anchorage of a simple shape will be received a great tendon force

  • 본 논문에서는 특정 주제에 관한 웹 문서들을 더욱 빠르고 정확하게 탐색하기 위하여 강화학습을 이용한 HIGH-Q 학습 알고리즘을 제안한다. 강화학습의 목적은 환경으로부터 주어지는 보상(reward)을 최대화하는 것이며 강화학습 에이전트는 외부에 존재하는 환경과 시행착오를 통하여 상호작용하면서 학습한다. 제안한 알고리즘이 주어진 환경에서 빠르고 효율적임을 보이기 위하여 넓이 우선 탐색과 비교하는 실험을 수행하고 이를 평가하였다. 실험한 결과로부터 우리는 미래의 할인된 보상을 이용하는 강화학습 방법이 정답을 찾기 위한 탐색 페이지의 수를 줄여줌으로써 더욱 정확하고 빠른 검색을 수행할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • To enhance the application of the reinforced retaining walls in the railway industry, this paper suggested a type of reinforcement subgrade with short reinforcement and rigid facing. To become popular the reinforced retaining walls in the industry, the deformation of retaining walls should be controlled below some limited level. In this paper, small scale and full scale tests of the proposed retaining walls were performed and their deformation characteristics were evaluated. Even though it has short reinforcement, the rigid type retaining wall had small deformation to the external train loading than the segmental type retaining wall had.

  • The objective of this paper is to report the result of an experimental program conducted on the strengthening of nonductile RC frames by using external mesh reinforcement and plaster application. The main objective was to test an alternative strengthening technique for reinforced concrete buildings, which could be applied with minimum disturbance to the occupants. Generic specimen is two floors and one bay RC frame in 1/2 scales. The basic aim of tested strengthening techniques is to upgrade strength, ductility and stiffness of the member and/or the structural system. Six specimens, two of which were reference specimens and the remaining four of which had deficient steel detailing and poor concrete quality were strengthened and tested in an experimental program under cyclic loading. The parameters of the experimental study are mesh reinforcement ratio and plaster thickness of the infilled wall. The effects of the mesh reinforced plaster application for strengthening on behavior, strength, stiffness, failure mode and ductility of the specimens were investigated. Premature and unexpected failure mode has been observed at first and second specimens failed due to inadequate plaster thickness. Also third strengthened specimen failed due to inadequate lap splice of the external mesh reinforcement. The last modified specimen behaved satisfactorily with higher ultimate load carrying capacity. Externally reinforced infill wall composites improve seismic behavior by increasing lateral strength, lateral stiffness, and energy dissipation capacity of reinforced concrete buildings, and limit both structural and nonstructural damages caused by earthquakes.

가상 환경에서의 강화학습을 이용한 비행궤적 시뮬레이션 (Flight Trajectory Simulation via Reinforcement Learning in Virtual Environment)

  • 인공지능을 이용하여 목표 지점까지 제어하는 가장 대표적인 방법은 강화학습이다. 하지만 그동안 강화학습을 처리하기 위해서는 구현하기 어렵고 복잡한 연산을 처리해야만 했다. 본 논문에서는 이를 개선한 Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) 알고리즘을 이용하여 가상환경에서 목표지점에 도달하기 위한 계획된 비행궤적을 찾는 방법을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 또한 외부 환경요소가 비행궤적 학습에 미치는 영항을 알아보기 위하여 궤적의 변화, 보상 값의 영향 및 외부 바람등과 같은 변수를 추가하고 궤적 학습 성능 및 학습 속도에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석을 수행한다. 본 결과를 통하여 에이전트가 다양한 외부환경의 변화에도 계획된 궤적을 찾을 수 있다는 것을 시뮬레이션 결과에 따라 알 수 있었으며, 이는 실제 비행체에 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Evaluating performance of the post-tensioned tapered steel beams with shape memory alloy tendons

  • The external post-tension technique is one of the best strengthening methods for reinforcement and improvement of the various steel structures and substructure components such as beams. In the present work, the load carrying capacity of the post-tensioned tapered steel beams with external shape memory alloy (SMA) tendons are studied. 3D nonlinear finite element method with ABAQUS software is used to determine the effects of the increase in the flexural strength, and the improvement of the load carrying capacity. The effect of the different parameters, such as geometrical characteristics and the post-tension force applied to the tendons are also studied in this research. The results reveal that the external post-tension with SMA tendons in comparison with the steel tendons causes a significant improvement of the loading capacity. According to this, using SMA tendon for the reinforcement of the tapered beams causes a decrease in weight of these structures and as a consequence causes economic benefits for their application. This method can be used extensively for steel beams due to low executive costs and simplicity of the operation for post-tension.

보강(補剛)된 유공판(有孔板)의 좌굴강도해석(挫屈强度解析)(제2보)(第2報) -전단좌굴(剪斷挫屈)- (The Buckling Analysis of Stiffened Plate with Hole(2nd Report) -Shear Buckling-)

  • When the perforated panels are under in-plane shear loads, shear buckling analysis is also necessary because of the presence of stress concentration around holes. To constrain it, we need some reinforcement. The methods of reinforcement are attaching doubler around hole and stiffeners in the arbitary directions. In this paper, two kinds of methods mentioned above are investigated, it is also clarified that which of the two is the more effective reinforcement. For the sake of convenience those arbitary directions were selected parallel ($90^{\circ}$) and oblique ($135^{\circ}$) to the edge. From the results of the above investigation, following conclusion was obtained. In case of parallel stiffeners, doubler reinforcement gives higher buckling strength than stiffener, however, in case of oblique stiffeners, doubler reinforcement gives higher buckling strength than doubler when the external load direction is known.

  • Recently, High-Strength steel reinforcement has been studied throughout the internal and external. One of the advantages using High-Strength steel reinforcement in construction is the economic effect due to the decreasing of its quantity. Also, another good effect is the increases of workability by reason of reducing the congestion. But, realistically it is not used in nuclear power plant construction site because of the restriction of design standard. The purpose of this report secures the reliability and changes the code through the performance evaluation test of the wall using the high-strength steel reinforcement in nuclear power plant.

대형 축조블록을 이용한 보강토옹벽의 안정성 평가 (Stability evaluation of reinforced earth walls based on large-scale modular blocks)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형 축조블록과 지오그리드 보강재를 이용한 보강토 옹벽의 안정성을 검토하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 구조물의 적용에 대하여 평가하였다. 안정성은 옹벽높이, 뒤채움 흙의 강도 및 지오그리드 보강재의 강도 조건에 따른 외적 및 내적안정성을 검토하였다. 외적안정성 분석 결과, 보강재의 길이는 전면벽체 저면으로부터 산정된 옹벽높이의 0.7H와 보강재 수직간격을 1m로 설치하였을 때, 뒤채움 흙의 내부마찰각 및 옹벽 높이에 관계없이 모든 해석조건에서 기준안전율을 만족하였다. 내적안정성의 경우에는 뒤채움 흙의 내부마찰각이 $25^{\circ}$인 경우에도 일부 옹벽 높이에서 파단 및 인발에 대한 안정성이 확보할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 내적안정성 평가결과를 바탕으로 대하여 구조적 안정성 및 경제성을 고려할 수 있는 구조물로의 적용이 가능할 것으로 확인되었다.
