The purpose of this study is to make a contribution to the development of creative fashion culture through the expansion of creative fields in the fashion design area and also the combination of fashion and art techniques, by classifying the cases of Trompe $L{\oe}il$ expressed in modern fashion, and also analyzing its aesthetic characteristics. Conducting the qualitative research through the literature study and the analysis of design cases, it targeted the women's wear collections of Paris, Milan, London, and New York, limiting its range from S/S 2010 to F/W 2015. The results are as follows: First, based on the preceding research, the types of Trompe $L{\oe}il$ expressed in modern fashion were shown as realistic expression of clothing, movement of daily objects, double images, and application of human body. Second, the aesthetic characteristics of Trompe $L{\oe}il$ based on its expression types were deconstruction, avant-garde, and amusements. The deconstruction was expressed in the expression type of Trompe $L{\oe}il$ such as freedom of materials using digital printing technique, change in the position of clothes, and movement of daily items using collage technique by collecting objets like daily items or waste. The avant-garde was expressed by switching/overlapping in and out of clothes, intentionally exposing some body parts like breast or torso, displacing body parts, and moving daily items. The amusements was shown by realistically expressing accessories or details of clothes using digital printing technique, or moving daily items such as book and fork.

The culture reflects the ideology of a particular period in time and such values change according to the needs and requests of that time which eventually becomes an important factorin forming the exterior. The clothing is part of a way that composes and expresses the inherent substance of society and culture. Also, the clothing itself manifests the artistic values and behavior of mankind as an external structure maintaining its place as a big part in culture. The purpose of this study are to elucidat the concept of naturalism, which is discussed in many facets in the modern era; I studied the concept as well as the history of naturalism in order to manifest the meaning of clothing in the context of culture and I explained the concept in terms of the modern era. On such ground, I explained the naturalism expressed through clothing and characterized the exter-nal form of clothing. Also, in order to know the stream of naturalism in the modern context, I referred to the Vogue magazine of the 90s, using Delong's ABC method. Naturalism, in the context of modern fashion is a way to express the nostalgia of nature's vi-ability and purity of ecology apart from the artificial and structural appearance that resulted form scientific enhancement and hence, the ecological crisis. Naturalism pursues the soft- ness and comfort of the natural silhouette, color and material of the human body and it can be said that naturalism emphasizes the mix-ture of three substances : human, nature and clothing. The naturalism can be characterized by the factors expressed in clothing as follows. First, the naturalism shown in the form it-self draws the beauty of the bodyline without any reduction nor exaggeration. Without any distorttion of the human bodyline it shown the curve as one moves along, using the soft material. Second, the naturalism shown in color most-ly uses the natural tone with added white color and other color low in intensity and value like the receded colors of the earth that could be compared to the beauty of ecru. Third, the naturalism shown in the material is thin, light and soft in texture. In order to bring out the most natural curve of the human body, the natural fiber becomes the main material, sometimes, using crude materials. Due to the lindustrial improvement, softness and elasticity is added to the natural fibers giving them an important role as materials. Fourth, the naturalism shown in textile depicts the real natural objects in life. According to my study, the personality of naturalism in modern clothing was shown to be most strong in material and then in the order of form, texture and textile. The material com-posed of the natural silhouette and natural fibers were used to make soft color. In form, Paul Poiret made appearance expressing the natural beauty of the human body without the corset ; it continued with the inner lining making the clothing hard but in the 90s, lining-less, extremely exposed clothes and knit wear is used to emphasize the natural beauty of the body. In color and textile, the tendency spok-en above is not as strong but in color, instead of high intensity or value, the usage of neutral colors with added white color or ecru color, ear-th tone is increasing. In textile, the usage of flowers as natural material is seen frequently. As a whole, naturalistic trend in the 90s is increasing and the modern fashion is breaking out from the artificial and architectural form and conforming to a form that can realize the natural beauty of the human body. And the natural color and textile that conforms to such ideas are being used to pursue the human oriented trend that has appeared due to the increase in usage of soft natural fiber. Nowadays, the idea of returning to nature, defying the artificiality, desiring the leisure and psychological abundance that can be explained as naturalistic way of thinking is necessitated in this modern era as long as humans coexist with nature, this tendency will continue in clothing.

This study examines the characteristics of the military look in modern fashion. The materials for the study are mainly precedent studies and related literature, although fashion portfolios and magazines, domestic and international, are used for the exploratory study. The results of the study are as follows. First, the military look for women dismantles the sexual symbolism endowed with the clothes by expressing a neutral charm out of dichotomy image between genders. The neutral expression of the military look, different from the military look of the 20th century, provides a chance to feature a new image by pursuing more individual freedom than human itself. Second, the military-look emphasizes feminine sensual charm through exposing, concealing, or decorating with ornaments which are transformed from the elements of the military clothes, This is different from the past military look that expressed masculine rigidity through simplifying the details and emphasizing the male body silhouette. Third, the military look produces a deconstruction image instead of just showing its intrinsic thoughts or symbolic message through combining design elements or symbolic details of the military look with other images, transforming and exaggerating the shapes, or mixing the time point of views reinterpreting the present or the future image.

This study examines the wearing conditions of tight-fit pants of men in their 30's in order to develop patterns for tight-fit pants. Tight-fits are loved by the young generation. This fashion has established a notable trend and demand in the casual clothing market as well as in the men's wear market. The study conducted a survey targeting Korean males in their thirties, and a total of 76 samples were used for the final analysis. The study survey showed that a growing number of men wear tight-fit pants in their daily life and prefer brands that feel more casual when it comes to expressing themselves with fashion. The men indicated a desire to look slim; however, they also wanted their clothes to be wearable and not interrupted them while moving. Sales of men's wear targeting the thirties age group have increased every year; consequently, this will study suggests that any relevant fields should first have a good understanding on men in the thirties and their needs before designing any clothes. Discussions that this study developed will be applied as a basic reference to design patterns for functionally-efficient tight-fit pants. Those pants will correspond to the physical characteristics of the thirties who transition with changes in every body part that would not occur when they are in their twenties while not disrupting.

The purpose of this study is to examine various types and characteristics of masks and to consider what meanings they have in the recent fashion world. To this end, this study attempts to reflect on the internal meaning of masks exhibited in fashion designers' collections rather than functional meanings. It has an implication; in that it tries to help understand the expressive needs for variety and freshness pursued by modern fashion and use the unique design development to understand the internal meanings of masks. It, therefore, examines the existing domestic and foreign literature and data about masks from a theoretical perspective, and also attempts to draw findings from the data of fashion collections which have been held since the 2000s, as well as from literature research based on books about fashion and various other media. The meanings of masks in the field of fashion are as follows: First, they express identity, by criticizing the couture fashion, through the fashion. Second, they present a new concept of body, showing an illogical and ambiguous identity in which both feminine and masculine images coexist. Third, they are media externally communicating insights about human beings' inner world, through which various messages are transferred to modern people who are attached to external appearances, and the identities possessed by designers are revealed by the masks. Fourth, they ask about a boundary between gender and sexuality, as a means to make us concentrate on the important social issue, while expressing various and new identities, like the hybrid identity. In other words, they can be found to be used as effective media in communicating fashion massages intended by fashion experimental and creative designers.

본 논문에서는 연속적인 제스처 영상으로 부터 주 인자 분석을 통해 얻어진 동작 특징 정보를 이용하여 제스처를 인식하는 방법에 대해 기술한다. 제안된 방법은 먼저, 인간의 신체 영상이 포함된 연속적인 입력영상에서 2차원 실루엣 제스처 영역을 분할한 다음 전역특징정보와 지역특징정보를 추출한다. 여기서 전역특징정보는 요인 분석을 통하여 제스처를 효과적으로 표현하는 의미 있는 소수의 핵심 특징을 선택하여 이용한다. 추출 된 특징정보로 부터 제스처의 시간 변화를 나타내는 특징히스토리정보를 얻어 저 차원 제스처공간을 구성한다. 마지막으로 제스처 공간상에 투영된 모델 특징 값은 은닉마르코프 모델의 입력 기호로 이용되기 위해 군집화 알고리즘을 통해 특정한 상태 기호로 구성되며 임의의 입력 동작은 확률 값이 가장 높은 해당 제스처 모델로 인식된다. 주 인자 분석으로부터 제스처에 기여도가 높은 특징인자로 모델을 구성하기 때문에 외관기반방법에서 몸의 형상 정보만을 특징 값으로 이용하거나 직관적인 방법으로 특징을 추출하는 방법보다 복잡한 동작에서 비교적 우수한 인식률을 나타낸다.

중세 기독교 회화에서 그리스도를 표현하는데 있어 가장 중요시한 문제는 그의 신성과 인성을 동시에 나타내는 것이다. '그리스도의 변형' 도상은 다른 어떤 주제보다 그리스도의 두 가지 속성을 뚜렷하게 보여준다. 본 연구의 목적은 예형론과 기독론을 통해 중세 그리스도 변형 도상의 신체와 복식에 나타난 그리스도의 신성과 인성의 표현을 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 그리스도의 두상표현과 자세, 복식의 종류와 색상, 형태, 재질 및 장식, 조형성을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 신성은 푸르거나 어두운 색조의 얼굴과 삼위일체와 강복을 상징하는 오른손, 오란스, 공중부양 자세로 나타났고, 인성은 홍조가 도는 따뜻한 색감의 피부를 지닌 장년 남성의 얼굴과 콘트라포스토 자세로 나타났다. 복식에서 흰색, 푸른색, 보라색, 금색 및 탈색효과는 신성을, 붉은색 및 고채도의 색상대비는 인성을 강조하기 위한 표현으로 분석되었다. 또한 비구조적인 주름과 직선적인 드레이퍼리, 목둘레의 장식선 등은 신성의 특징으로, 구조적이며 사실적인 주름의 묘사는 인성의 표현으로 나타났다. 중세 그리스도 도상은 인간의 모습으로 이 땅에 내려온 신의 형상을 구현하기 위해 철저히 계획된 의도의 산물이다. 이는 화가 자신의 신앙의 고백이자 중세 신학의 도그마를 전달하는 수단으로서 중요한 의의가 있으며 추상적인 개념을 시각화하여 전달하는 이미지의 중요성을 시사한다.

In this study, the sales status of female ball-jointed dolls and their parts were investi- gated and analyzed. Baseline data from 194 products and 54 brands on domestic and international Internet sites was gathered for the manufacture of ball-jointed dolls and the development of prototype costumes for them. The results are as follows. First, the sizes used for ball-jointed dolls are SD, USD, MSD, 13SD, and 70SD together with height. This study analyzed 39 sizes (15~70cm) by classifying them into numbered groups: 1 (15~22cm), 2 (23~33cm), 3 (35~51cm), 4 (53~62cm), and 5 (63~70cm). The price varied depending on the size; for example, 50cm dolls were approximately 45,000 won, while limited editions were sold at high prices, regardless of their size. They were classified into designs according to their body proportions and facial features as follows: 7- or 8-head-figure, 5-head figure, and 3-head figure, and were presented proportionally as images of women, adolescents, and infants. Second, the head was incised so that the top could be removed horizontally or the facial region vertically, allowing attachment of the eyeballs (which were either glass, resin, or acrylic) to the inside. More than 30 different colors were sold. Various wig styles were provided, including cut, short hair, and perm. These were made from human hair, heat-resistant fiber, and artificial hair. For the hands, there was a design expressing human hand gestures. For the feet, heels were in the form of wearing either high-heels or flat soles.

본 논문에서는 신체의 노화로 인해 보행활동이 제한되는 고령자가 사용하는 전동형 보행보조시스템의 조작 편리성 향상을 위해 기존의 조작 기법인 보행의지 기법과 융합이 가능한 보행상태 기법을 제안한다. 이것은 사용자가 핸들바를 파지하고 있는지 여부를 파악하고 그에 따라 사용자의 보행의지를 판별하는 단순 트리거 신호로 사용한다. 또한 보행의지 파악을 위한 사용자의 보행상태 확인은 레이저 거리 측정 장치를 사용하여 검출된 사용자의 선속도와 회전각속도를 보행보조시스템 중심의 선속도와 회전각속도로 사용한다. 이를 위해 사용자의 양측 다리 중심점을 추정하여 가상의 인체중심점 검출 기법을 제안한다. 실험은 보행자의 선속도 및 회전각속도와 보행 보조시스템 중심의 선속도 및 회전각속도를 비교 분석하는 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과, 사용자와 보행보조시스템 중심 간에 선속도와 회전각속도의 오차율은 각각 1%와 2.77%로 나타냈으며, 이는 사용자의 선속도와 회전각 속도를 보행보조시스템의 양측구동기, 속도산출기에 적용이 가능한 것으로 확인했다. 이를 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 보행의지 기법과 보행상태 기법을 융합한다면 사용자가 보행보조시스템에 끌려가는 현상과 조작 미숙으로 인한 오작동 등이 예방 가능할 것으로 확인되었다.

In long freight trains, there is a brake time delay in the neighboring freight cars that causes damage and fractures of couplers, especially the knuckle of them. If there is a problem for couplers in the cars, this could cause a derailment and lead to damage of human life and property damage. In this study, maximum forces on the couplers are studied when a long freight car brakes, with brake delay time and coupler gap. We have made a dynamic model of 50 freight cars and couplers, applying contact between couplers and a characteristic curve for expressing force and displacement of buffers with SIMPACK, a multi-body dynamics program. We use EN 14531-2 from the British Standards Institution, a standard of freight car brakes for the verification of the dynamic model. We also use a simplified method to analyze the dynamic model of 50 freight cars. With changing coupler gap and brake delay time, we do comparative analysis with AAR M-201 from the Association of American Railroads, a standard of AAR couplers. From this result, we find that the standard on fatigue limit is satisfied, such that the brake delay time is within 0.06 second if the coupler gap of the AAR coupler is within 20 millimeters.
