  • The fluctuation of inundation height due to climate change and sea level rise is expected to cause the socio-economical damage in the coastal zone. To evaluate the inundation damage in Haeundae Beach Area, the inundation height was calculated using the observed data and the range of inundated area and buildings was estimated by applying to DEM data, which was constructed with airborne LiDAR data. The range of inundated area and buildings were estimated with 5 scenario of sea level rise in the condition of minimum and maximum inundation height. When the 181cm, the area of 7.19ha and 5 buildings were expected to be inundated. As 20cm in sea level rises at the minimum of the inundation height, the area of 8.90ha and 8buildings were expected to be inundated. As 30cm, 40cm, 50cm, 60cm in sea level rise, 9.98ha and 9 buildings, 11.11ha and 11buildings, 12.41ha and 11buildings, 14.18ha and 14buildings were expected to be inundated, respectively. When the 526 cm, the area of 32.35ha and 42buildings were expected to be inundated. As 20cm, 30cm, 40cm, 50cm, 60cm in sea level rise at the maximum of the inundation height, 38.94ha and 47buildings, 42.46ha and 52buildings, 45.76ha and 58buildings, 49.51ha and 66buildings, 52.53ha and 72buildings were expected to be inundated, respectively. The leisure and industry facilities, socio-economical installation, habitation are located near by the estimated inundation area, then the inundation damage is expected to be greater scale.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the roles of expected self-control and expected self-control results in explaining adolescents' Internet addiction. In the study model, expectations of self-control and self-control results directly determine Internet addiction and Internet use time meditates the impacts of expectations of self-control and self-control results on Internet addiction. The study subjects are 1,080 middle and high school students in Busan. Stratified cluster sampling is applied by school type and school year. The response rate is 96%(l,037cases). This study develops the scales of expected self-control and expected self-control results. The scales of Internet addiction are devised by using the concept of functional dependency such as salience, withdrawal symptoms, mood modification, tolerance, relapse, and conflict. For verifying the study model, path analysis and multiple regression models are applied for identifying path significants and evaluating confounding effects of control variables, respectively. Moreover, multi partial F-test is performed for selecting the best regression model. Expected self-control is a significant determinant of Internet addiction and Internet use time that also significantly explains Internet addiction. The total effect of expected self-control towards Internet addiction is -.95. The total effect is comprised with the direct effect (-.71) and the indirect effect(-.24). In this result, the direct effect refers a curative effect since expected self-control directly reduces the level of Internet addiction, and the indirect effect refers a preventive effect because self-control can reduce time of Internet use that is a direct determinant of Internet addiction. In the test of the confounding effects of control variables, there are no confounding effects in the models of multiple regression. It implies a robustness of the study model as regards control variables. In conclusion, improving adolescents' expected self-control can control Internet addiction level. This finding implies that a health promotion program for improving expected self-control can be a cost effective method compared to other approaches.

  • BiCMOS circuit consist of CMOS part which constructs logic function, and bipolar part which drives output load. Test to detect stuck-open faults in BiCMOS circuit is important, since these faults do sequential behavior and are represented as transition faults. In this paper, proposes a method for efficiently detecting transistor stuck-open faults in BiCMOS circuit by transforming them into slow-to=rise transition and slow-to-fall transition. In proposed method, BiCMOS circuit is transformed into equivalent gate-level circuit by dividing it into pull-up part which make output 1, and pull-down part which make output 0. Stuck-open faults in transistor are modelled as transition fault in input line of gate level circuit which is transformed from given circuit. Faults are detceted by using pull-up part gate level circuit when expected value is '01', or using pull-down part gate level circuit when expected value is '10'. By this method, transistor stuck-open faults in BiCMOS circuit are easily detected using conventional gate level test generation algorithm for transition fault.

  • The main objective of this research is to analyze an order point and an order quantity of a distribution center and each branch to attain a target service level in multi-level inventory distribution system. In case of product item, we use the item with low volume of average monthly demand. Under the continuous review method, the distribution center places a particular order quantity to an outside supplier whenever the level of inventory reaches an order point, and receives the order quantity after elapsing a certain lead time. Also, each branch places an order quantity to the distribution center whenever the level of inventory reaches an order point, and receives the quantity after elapsing a particular lead time. When an out of stock condition occurs, we assume that the item is backordered. For considering more realistic situations, we use generic type of probability distribution of lead times. In the variable lead time model, the actually achieved service level is estimated as the expected service level. Therefore, this study focuses on the analysis of deciding the optimal order point and order quantity to achieve a target service level at each depot as a expected service level, while the system-wide inventory level is minimized. In addition, we analyze the order level as a maximum level of inventory to suggest more efficient way to develop the low demand item model.

  • To compute the expected travel time of storage and retrieval (S/R) machine in automated warehousing systems most of the previous studies assumed that equal number of rack openings are required regardless of the nature of storage assignment rules. It is known that randomized storage assignment rule usually needs less storage to space than needed for full turnover-based assignment rule. The objective of this paper is compute the expected travel time of each assignment rule more equitably by taking into account the storage space required for each rule. First, the rack storage space is determined which satisfies a given service level. Then based on the standard Economic Ordering Quantity model, trade-off analysis is carried out which relates the storage space to the expected travel time of the S/R machine. Finally, example problems are solved to compare the performance of each assignment rule under varying conditions of demand pattern and service level.

  • This study was made to investigate the differences in Korean woman's perceived makeup image and self-consciousness according to their expectation level in socio-psychological effect of makeup, and to gather information needed for the better understanding of cosmetics consumers and more effective marketing activities of cosmetics industries. Normative-descriptive survey method using questionnaire was employed for the present study. The survey was conducted in August 2001 and the sample consisted of 942 women between the ages of 18 and 50 residing in Seoul and Kyungi province. Data were analyzed by SPSS package. Factor analysis, ANOVA, and MANOVA were employed for the analysis of the data. The results are as follows : (1) Six factors emerged from the data related to the category of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. Those factors were named as "increasing positiveness", "refreshment", "covering weakness", "self-expression", "consideration for others", and "the tool for self-change". Four factors were found in the category of makeup image, and the factors were named as "refinement", "nobility", "favorable impression ", and "personality ". (2) There was a tendency that those who highly expect the socio-psychological effect of makeup have more positive self-image. Considering this differences in self-image according to the level of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. service activities for the consumers' positive opinion and attitude to the effect of makeup are needed, and it seems that those service activities will have a good influence on the consumers' emotional health. (3) Subjects with higher level of social anxiety showed higher expectations in refreshment, covering weakness and self-expression. Considering this trend, marketers have to make an constant effort for the variety of cosmetics and makeup manner by which consumers satisfy their expectation in makeup. It seems that the satisfaction of their expectation on the help of makeup effect will contribute to lessen social anxiety, and to get emotional stability. (4) Subjects with higher personal self-anxiety showed higher expectations of the effect. "increase of positiveness". Therefore, if the product advertisement imply the content of increasing positiveness effect of makeup, it might appeal more easily to their consumers.imply the content of increasing positiveness effect of makeup, it might appeal more easily to their consumers.

  • For my thesis I have analyzed the differences between the traffic noise level surrounding the schools and the perceived level of noise. 1 have used the ways of measurement and questionnaires to support my study. According to the analysis, the measured noise level was higher than the expected noise level. The equivalent noise level was proven to be higher when the windows of the classrooms were open. The noise level was also higher on the third floor than the first floor. The correlation between the measured noise level and the perceived level of noise was tested in each school. The school which had a higher expected noise level showed a high perceived level of noise. The measured noise level and the perceived level of noise became larger on the higher floors. Through the questionnaires, the traffic noises were proven to be the largest noise-making source surrounding the schools. Most of the students replied on the questionnaires that they have been consistently bothered by the noise. It interfered with their studies and concentration. Also, the sound of their voices became louder because of the noise around their schools. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that the traffic noises that surround the schools give the students negative influences.
