  • It is an undecidable problem to determine whether a given equation logically follows from a given set of equations. However, it is possible to give the answer to many instances of the problem, even though impossible to answer all the instances, by using rewrite systems and completion procedures. Rewrite systems and completion procedures can be implemented as computer programs. The new equations such a computer program generates are theorems that hold in the given equational theory. For example, a completion procedure applied on the group axioms generates simple theorems about groups. Mathematics students' teaming to know the existence and mechanisms of computer programs that prove simple theorems can be a significant help to promote the interests in abstract algebra and logic, and the motivation for studying.

  • We study the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for isotone mappings of any number of arguments under Mizoguchi-Takahashi contraction on a complete metric space endowed with a partial order. As an application of our result we study the existence and uniqueness of the solution to integral equation. The results we obtain generalize, extend and unify several very recent related results in the literature.

  • In this paper, a class of second-order boundary value problems with Sturm-Liouville boundary conditions or multi-point conditions is considered. Some existence and uniqueness theorems of positive solutions of the problem are obtained by using monotone iterative technique, the iterative sequences yielding approximate solutions are also given. The results are illustrated with an example.

  • The aim of this paper is to establish variational principle on cone metric spaces and to give some existence theorems of solutions for equilibrium problems on cone metric spaces. We give some equivalences of an existence theorem of solutions for equilibrium problems on cone metric spaces.

  • We introduce CR, SCR and GCR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds and obtain their existence in indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds of constant holomorphic sectional curvature $c$ and of constant type ${\alpha}$. We also prove characterization theorems on the existence of totally umbilical and minimal GCR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite nearly Kaehler manifolds.

  • In this paper, we introduce screen slant lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Sasakian manifold and give examples. We prove a characterization theorem for the existence of screen slant lightlike submanifolds. We also obtain integrability conditions of both screen and radical distributions, prove characterization theorems on the existence of minimal screen slant lightlike submanifolds and give an example of proper minimal screen slant lightlike submanifolds of $R_2^9$.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new system of first-order impulsive fuzzy differential equations. By using Banach fixed point theorem, we obtain some new existence and uniqueness theorems of solutions for this system of first-order impulsive fuzzy differential equations in the metric space of normal fuzzy convex sets with distance given by maximum of the Hausdorff distance between level sets.
