  • We study the existence and long-time behavior of solutions to the following semilinear degenerate parabolic equation on $\mathbb{R}^N$: $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}-div({\sigma}(x){\nabla}u+{\lambda}u+f(u)=g(x)$$, under a new condition concerning a variable non-negative diffusivity ${\sigma}({\cdot})$. Some essential difficulty caused by the lack of compactness of Sobolev embeddings is overcome here by exploiting the tail-estimates method.

  • In this paper, we consider a diffusive delayed predator-prey model with Beddington-DeAngelis type functional response under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions, where the discrete time delay covers the period from the birth of immature preys to their maturity. We investigate the global existence of nonnegative solutions and the long-term behavior of the time-dependent solution of the model.

  • In this paper, the visco-Da-Rios equation; (0.1) ($$\frac{{\partial}{\gamma}}{{\partial}t}=\frac{{\partial}{\gamma}}{{\partial}s}{\bigwedge}\frac{D}{ds}\frac{{\partial}{\gamma}}{{\partial}s}+{\nu}\frac{{\partial}{\gamma}}{{\partial}s}$$) is investigated on 3-dimensional complete orientable Riemannian manifolds. The global existence of solution is discussed by trans-forming (0.1) into a cubic nonlinear Schrodinger equation for complete orient able Riemannian 3-manifolds of constant curvature.

  • The purpose of this paper is to give a sufficient condition for the existence, nonexistence and uniqueness of coexistence of positive solutions to a rather general type of elliptic competition system of the Dirichlet problem on the bounded domain ${\Omega}$ in $R^n$. The techniques used in this paper are upper-lower solutions, maximum principles and spectrum estimates. The arguments also rely on some detailed properties for the solution of logistic equations. This result yields an algebraically computable criterion for the positive coexistence of competing species of animals in many biological models.

  • In this article, we state and prove several new retarded nonlinear integral and integro-differential inequalities of Gronwall-Bellman-Pachpatte type. These inequalities generalize some former famous inequalities and can be used in examining the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, stability, asymptotic behaviour, quantitative and qualitative properties of solutions of nonlinear differential and integral equations. Applications are provided to demonstrate the strength of our inequalities in estimating the boundedness and global existence of the solution to initial value problem for nonlinear integro-differential equation and Volterra type retarded nonlinear equation. This research work will ensure to open the new opportunities for studying of nonlinear dynamic inequalities on time scale structure of varying nature.

  • We consider a mathematical model which describes the quasistatic contact of electro-viscoelastic rod with an obstacle. We use a modified Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic constitutive law in which the elasticity operator is nonlinear and locally Lipschitz continuous, taking into account the piezoelectric effect of the material. We model the contact with a general damped response condition. We establish a local existence and uniqueness result of the solution by using arguments of time-dependent nonlinear equations and Schauder's fixed-point theorem and obtain a global existence for small enough data.

  • In this paper, we study the temporal decay of global weak solutions to the inhomogeneous Hall-magnetohydrodynamic (Hall-MHD) equations. First, an approximation problem and its weak solutions are obtained via the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg retarded mollification technique. Then, we prove that the approximate solutions satisfy uniform decay estimates. Finally, using the weak convergence method, we construct weak solutions with optimal decay rates to the inhomogeneous Hall-MHD equations.

  • In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of the mathematical model of two non-interacting preys in presence of their common natural enemy (predator) based on the non-autonomous differential equations. We establish sufficient conditions for the permanence, extinction and global stability in the general non-autonomous case. In the periodic case, by means of the continuation theorem in coincidence degree theory, we establish a set of sufficient conditions for the existence of a positive periodic solutions with strictly positive components. Also, we give some sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of the positive periodic solution.

  • This paper deals with the behavior of positive solutions to the following nonlocal polytropic filtration system $$\{u_t=(\mid(u^{m_1})_x{\mid}^{{p_1}^{-1}}(u^{m_1})_x)_x+u^{l_{11}}{{\int_0}^a}v^{l_{12}}({\xi},t)d{\xi},\;(x,t)\;in\;[0,a]{\times}(0,T),\\{v_t=(\mid(v^{m_2})_x{\mid}^{{p_2}^{-1}}(v^{m_2})_x)_x+v^{l_{22}}{{\int_0}^a}u^{l_{21}}({\xi},t)d{\xi},\;(x,t)\;in\;[0,a]{\times}(0,T)}$$ with nonlinear boundary conditions $u_x{\mid}{_{x=0}}=0$, $u_x{\mid}{_{x=a}}=u^{q_{11}}u^{q_{12}}{\mid}{_{x=a}}$, $v_x{\mid}{_{x=0}}=0$, $v_x|{_{x=a}}=u^{q21}v^{q22}|{_{x=a}}$ and the initial data ($u_0$, $v_0$), where $m_1$, $m_2{\geq}1$, $p_1$, $p_2$ > 1, $l_{11}$, $l_{12}$, $l_{21}$, $l_{22}$, $q_{11}$, $q_{12}$, $q_{21}$, $q_{22}$ > 0. Under appropriate hypotheses, the authors establish local theory of the solutions by a regularization method and prove that the solution either exists globally or blows up in finite time by using a comparison principle.
