This purpose of this study is to identify nursing college students' exercise self-schema and exercise behavior, and the factors affecting the adherence to In this study. Participantrs included 170 nursing students in J City from November 1 to November 30, 2018.. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficiention, and multiple regression by SPSS 21.0 program. The result of multiple regression indicates exercise behavior, influences of behavioral exercise self-schema, exercise participation intention, cognitive and emotional exercise self-schema, predict 63.8%(F=104.59, p<.001). Based on this study, in order to enhance nursing college students' exercise practice, it is believed that it is necessary to not only develop health-related curriculums that would allow nursing college students to appropriately develop and enhance their exercise self-schema, but also provide active government-level support required for operating diverse physical activity programs.
Purpose: Many studies have shown that regular exercise produces positive effects on health. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of health-related quality of life by stage of exercise and the interaction effect of age, sex and stage of exercise. Method: A total of 1266 participants were interviewed with structured questionnaire. Stage of exercise was assessed with a single item and respondents were classified with respect to exercise intention and behavior. Health-related quality of life was measured with SF-36 Health Survey Questionnaire. Result: Health-related QOL were found to be different by stage of exercise. The subjects who were reached maintenance stage showed significantly higher scores on physical functioning, bodily pain, general health perception, mental health, role limitation due to emotional problems, social functioning, and vitality than those in preparation, contemplation, and precontemplation stage. In addition a significant interaction effect between stage of exercise and age was found on physical functioning, bodily pain, general health perception, mental health, and vitality. Conclusion: Perceived health-related QOL varies with stage of exercise. This finding suggests that health is related to both intention and behavior of exercise. Therefore it is important to consider cognitive-motivational and behavioral stage of change for developing exercise programs.

This study proposes an image-based Pose Intention Network (PIN) algorithm for rehabilitation via patients' intentions. The purpose of the PIN algorithm is for enabling an active rehabilitation exercise, which is implemented by estimating the patient's motion and classifying the intention. Existing rehabilitation involves the inconvenience of attaching a sensor directly to the patient's skin. In addition, the rehabilitation device moves the patient, which is a passive rehabilitation method. Our algorithm consists of two steps. First, we estimate the user's joint position through the OpenPose algorithm, which is efficient in estimating 2D human pose in an image. Second, an intention classifier is constructed for classifying the motions into three categories, and a sequence of images including joint information is used as input. The intention network also learns correlations between joints and changes in joints over a short period of time, which can be easily used to determine the intention of the motion. To implement the proposed algorithm and conduct real-world experiments, we collected our own dataset, which is composed of videos of three classes. The network is trained using short segment clips of the video. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is effective for classifying intentions based on a short video clip.

There is true that the evaluation of non-face-to-face swimming classes currently offered by universities due to the COVID-19 outbreak is generally negative. For this reason, the quality of non-face-to-face swimming classes at universities is bound to depend on the expertise of the instructor. However, whether or not of students who lack of practices of swimming could experience exercise flow and could continuously last the swimming exercise after semester or even graduation is difficult to confirm. This is considered to be a significant threat in the future not only for swimming, but also for all liberal arts and lifestyle sports. This study aimed at 281 non-athletic college students with experience of taking both swimming classes, and the need for a study on the structural relationship between exercise flow and participation intention by university swimming class leaders' expertise in non-sports majoring college students. And the results were empirically analyzed. The research results derived in this process are summarized as follows. First, the effect of swimming class leader's expertise (personality, lecture skills, student management, practical skills, basic knowledge) perceived by non-athletic college students on exercise flow (cognitive flow, behavior flow) affects cognitive flow. As a factor influencing, it was found that lecture skills had a statistically positive (+) effect, and as factors influencing behavioral commitment, the positive (+) effect was statistically significant in personality, lecture skills, student management, and basic knowledge. Second, as for the effect of exercise commitment (cognitive commitment, behavior commitment) perceived by non-athletic college students on continuous participation intention, the behavioral commitment factor was found to have a statistically positive (+) effect.
Weight reduction behavior is common among adolescent girls. The present study examined the status of weight reduction behavior and factors affecting the behavioral intention of weight reduction using the Health Belief Model (HBM) for female middle school students by weight category. Survey data was collected from three girl's middle schools in Gyeongju, Korea. A total of 299 female middle school students participated in this study. The questionnaire had questions about general characteristics, weight reduction behavior, and variables of HBM (perceived threat, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to action, self-efficacy in dietary life and exercise, and behavioral intention of weight reduction). Descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were applied to analyze the variables. A higher percentage of students in the overweight group attempted weight reduction than those in the underweight and the normal weight groups (P < 0.001). Among students who had attempted weight reduction, 73% tried diet therapy, while 78% tried exercise. Students in the normal and overweight groups showed significantly higher threat (P < 0.01) and cues to action (P < 0.001) than those in the underweight group. As for perceived benefits, barriers, and self-efficacy in dietary life and exercise, there were no significant differences among weight groups. Students in the overweight group showed the strongest intention of weight reduction and there were significant differences among the three weight groups (P < 0.001). Perceive threat (P < 0.01), cues to action (P < 0.001), and perceived self-efficacy (P < 0.01) were significantly associated to behavioral intention of weight reduction for all respondents. For the underweight group, perceived threat (P < 0.05) and perceived self-efficacy (P < 0.01) were the significant variables. For the overweight group, cue to action was the significant variable (P < 0.05).

The brain and muscles both of which are composed of top-down structure occur the connectivity with the change of Electroencephalogram(EEG) and Electromyogram(EMG). In this paper, we studied the difference of functional connectivity between brain and muscles that by applying coherence method to EEG and EMG signals when users exercised upper limb with and without the movement intention. The changes in the EEG and EMG signals were inspected using coherence method. During the upper limb exercise, the mu (8~14 Hz) and beta (15~30 Hz) rhythms of the EEG signal at the motor cortex area are activated. And then the beta and piper (30~60 Hz) rhythms of the EMG signal are activated as well. The result of coherence analysis between EEG and EMG showed the coefficient of active exercise including movement intention is significantly higher than passive exercise. The coherence relations between cognitive response and muscle movement could interpret that the connectivity between the brain and muscle appear during active exercise with movement intention. The feature of coherence between brain and muscles by the status of movement intention will be useful in designing the rehabilitation system requiring feedback depending on the users' movement intention status.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of stretching exercise education on female workers' behavior for preventing musculoskeletal diseases. Method: This study educated occupational health nurses working in Seoul and Kyunggi area for stretching exercise methods and then had them educate female workers in each workplace for the stretching exercise methods. The subjects of this study were 205 female workers and the research period was from June to October 2003. Results: The female workers' self-efficacy on stretching exercise increased significantly. The female workers' perceived susceptibility on stretching exercise increased significantly. As for change in practical intention on preventive behavior for musculoskeletal diseases, those who replied to have a plan to exercise regularly and to want to participate in stretching exercise class increased significantly. According to whether to have subjective musculoskeletal symptoms or not, self-efficacy increased significantly after education in both workers with such symptoms and those without, and perceived susceptibility and cue to action increased significantly after education in workers without such symptoms. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop programs to increase self-efficacy and health belief and to apply them to female workers to prevent musculoskeletal diseases. In addition, it is necessary to provide repeated education for female workers' steady practice of preventive behavior.
