  • Based on flight software modeling experiences on satellite simulator developments so far, three different approaches for modeling the flight software within the satellite simulator such as utilization of a processor emulator executing the actual flight software image, re-compilation of the flight software sources within the simulator infrastructure, and development of a set of abstract models representing the required flight software functionality are presented.

  • A passivity-based adaptive controller for robots executing fine motion tasks is proposed. The robot dynamics is modelled such that it is subject to holonomic constraints and hence it can be treated as a particular case of constrained motion tasks. Energy-motivated stability analysis is used to conclude the asymptotic stability. Remarks regarding the structure of the controller are given. A computer simulations study is presented and a robust constraint stabilization algorithm is also proposed.

  • This paper proposes a code optimization algorithm for dealing with hazards which are occurred in pipelined architecture due to resource dependence between executed instructions. This algorithm solves timing hazard which results from resource conflict between concurrently executing instructions, and sequencing hazard due to the delay time for branch target decision by reconstructing of instruction sequence without pipeline interlock. The reconstructed codes can be generated efficiently by considering timing hazard and sequencing hazard simultaneously. And dynamic execution time of program is improved by considering structral hazard which can be existed when pipeline is controlled dynamically.

  • Recently, a need of non-industrial robot, such as service, medical, entertainment and house-keeping robot, has been increased. Therefore, the capability of robot which can do intelligent behavior like interaction with men and its environment become more prominent than the capability of executing simple repetitive task. To implement an intelligent robot which provides intelligent behavior, an effective system architecture including perception, learning, reasoning and action part is necessary. Control architectures for intelligent robot can be divided into two different classes. One is deliberative type controller which is applicate to high level intelligence like environment ...

  • In this work, a fuzzy petri net model for modeling a general form of fuzzy production system which consists of chaining fuzzy production rules and so requires multistage reasoning process is presented. For the obtained fuzzy petri net model, the net will be transformed into some matrices, and also be systematically led to an algebraic form of a state equation. Since it is fond that the approximate reasoning process in fuzzy systems corresponds to the dynamic behavior of the fuzzy petri net, it is further shown that the multistage reasoning process can be carried out by executing the state equation.

  • In this paper, we propose multiple instruction issuable multi-streaming as a processor architecture for 3D graphics processor. Multistreaming can eliminate inteferences within concurrently executing instructions inthe pipelined processor to allow enough parallelism for parallel processing. Through cycle level simulation study, we show that the proposed architecture outperforms a conventional RISC processor, MIPS R3000 by three times with reasonable resource overheads. Multiple instruction issuable multistreaming processor will be a bood architecture for instruction processor when a large number of threads are guaranteed.

  • In this paper we discuss a multi-threaded baseband Processor capable of executing all physical layer processing of high data rate communications systems completely in software. We discuss the enabling technology for a software defined radio approach and present results for GPRS. 802.11b, and 2Mbps WCDMA. All of these protocols can be executed in real-time on the SB9600 chip using the Sandblaster core.

  • Under the maxmin compositional rule of inference which is used in applications while executing fuzzy algorithms, Pappis showed that the property of approximation is preserved. In this paper, we generalize a measure of proximity of fuzzy subsets on any set, without the restriction of finiteness. And it is shown that the same property of approximation if preserved under the supmin compositional rule of inference.

  • Concept of conflict management system and necessity of introducing it into the executing process of public projects have been subjects of any previous studies. Those systems are, however, not practically applicable to rail projects given the unique nature of rail industry. In this context, the author presented cases of conflicts emerged during the process of the Gyung bu High Speed Rail Construction Project and mapped out realistic case study applicable to construction sites.
