In this paper, a research was carried out to extract the more concrete and systematic method for the safety management of skyscraper construction. Here, the most risky processes in the construction of skyscrapers were extracted through the general risk evaluation for safety management processes and their characteristics and trends were analyzed for the suggestion of safety management methods and safety inspection factors in the construction of skyscrapers, as well as for the suggestion of prevention measures for major disasters. The result of this paper will be well used as a basic data in establishing the manual necessary for executing the construction of skyscrapers more safely than the present where there is no specific direction for the safe management of skyscraper construction yet.

In order to evaluate the stability of railway embankment under rainfall, explanatory variables and subordinate variables wet-e selected for multivariate analysis. Furthermore the site which had occurred failure due to rainfall was investigated, and by executing multivariate analysis for 121 cases, critical rainfall was defined by the case that had high value of correlation factor. The maximum hourly rainfall during 24 hours before failure caused the collapse of railway embankment and could be used estimate the stability of railway embankment. From the result of application to a collapse example, the evaluation method by critical rainfall curve is satisfactory.

Drainage noise with making think about what they do disturbs neighborhoods live under source of noise. elbow pipe built in the house. the general elbow pipe has a rectangular elbow because of easiness when the plan set up or executing. therefore, free falling fluid impacts on the wall of the elbow pipe almost at one point. in this paper, to disperse the potential energy, the shock decentralizes from tiny area to large area. And It is considered how the characteristics change according to the noise of transformed shape of pipe, then researched the effectiveness of transformed pipe configuration.

In this paper, a new software package for modeling and simulating discrete-event dynamic systems is developed. The new software is a general-purpose, graphical tool based on timed Petri-nets and is developed using Visual Basic and Visual C++ for the window environment. It allows the user to graphically build a Petri-net model and enter input data for executing the Petri-net simulation model. It is equipped with a deadlock detection and recovery function as well as an automatic error check function. In addition, the software supports various enabling functions and distribution functions and provides various statistics for the performance measures of interests pertaining to the system. We expect the new software will be used in a wide number of applications including computer, communication and manufacturing systems.

On a conceptual point of SCM, as a order of development, physical distribution, logistics management, basic supply chain management and advanced supply chain management etc. they are magnifying gradually, confusing with information and analysis techniques which seems possible. But on executing, it has a lot of problems because it is so complex and wide, so the enterprise which knows necessity of SCM, they don't have a total execution solution. On this paper, we will focus a proposal of alternatives with reasonableness of manufacturing and making a profit of sales department like most of enterprises to overcome carelessness and unready strategy of investment. And we will find a element through a analysis of cases, a statistical method of effective SCM, and actual survey to propose a alternative proposal. And, we will prove the facts that it could be a guiding company which has a ability of cooperation with entities through the founding of supply chain.

This paper deals with an example of the engineering education through the SE-based development of an underwater-robot kit model. It has a purpose of establishing the example of a SE-based development by undergraduate through executing the requirement and functional analysis, hardware and software design, manufacturing, test and evaluation for developing the model. In addition, it also has a purpose of establishing the basis of the development of an optimized underwater-robot kit through understanding the weight and buoyancy characteristics and the actuation and propulsion characteristics of the developed model.

In these days, the PCs are widely used in the mid-level factory. But they have low-effectiveness for using them. The main reason should be the lack of useful and practical software in the market. This Case study aimed at the support of the software using DB Language to get M/M chart for aquiring work study and standard time data in the mid-level factory having multi-item and multi-process type. CVA (Chronocycle Video Analysis) is applied to get basic standard time data and working list. Standard time, Sequence of working and allowance time or rate for man and machine will be readily obtained through the menu when the software executing. Detailed program list is systematically shown in Appendix.

The effect of cavitation on the synchronous steady state response of a single rotor supported on cavitated squeeze film dampers executing a circular orbit is investigated theoretically. The Swift-Stieber boundary conditions and a long bearing approximation are utillized to evaluate the direct and the cross coupled damping coefficients of a cavitated squeeze film damper. For typical design parameters, frequency response curves are presented here to exhibit the effect of cavitation on the imbalance response and transmissibilities for both a flexible rotor and a rigid rotor. Investigations show that cavitation occured in a squeeze film damper produces bistable jump phenomena and deteriorates the performance of a squeeze film damper. This arises from that the large cavity causes substantial increment of the cross coupled damping which has radial stiffening effect. Furthermore, the large cavity causes the decrement of the direct damping which has pure damping effect. It is also observed that in the absence of cavitation, both rotor excursion amplitude and imbalance transmissibilities are very well damped.

The major difficulty in distillation column control lies in executing the set point tracking and the disturbance rejection, because of continuous changes in model order and dead time. For that, generalized predictive control(GPC) was applied to distillation column control. Recursive least square method was used to adjust the changes of model order and dead time. Quadratic progamming(QP) was used to solve the constraint problems in control action and the rate of control action. As a result of the simulation on the dynamic simulator(SPEEDUP) and the experiment on pilot plant, the ability of the set point tracking and the disturbance rejection was acceptable to apply to the real distillation column.

In order to evaluate the stability of railway cut-slope under rainfall, explanatory variables and subordinate variables were selected for multivariate analysis. Furthermore the site which had occurred failure due to rainfall was investigated, and by executing multivariate analysis for 121 cases, critical rainfall was defined by the case that had high value of correlation factor. The 0.3 square value of maximum hourly rainfall during 24 hours before failure caused the collapse of railway cut-slope and could be used to estimate the stability of railway cut-slope. From the result of application to a collapse example, the evaluaton method by critical rainfall curve is satisfactory.
