보로노이 셀에서 리만 적분을 이용한 임펄스 잡음 환경에서 동작하는 회전 변환 QPSK 기법의 성능 해석 (Performance Analysis of a Rotation-Transform Aided QPSK over Impulsive Noise Using Rieman Integral over Voronoi Cell)

  • 임펄스 잡음에 강인한 2차 회전변환 기법을 적용한 QPSK 시스템에서 최대우도 복호기의 비트오율 성능을 정확하게 분석하였다. 이 분석 방법은 보로노이 셀에서 2차원 가우시안 Q-함수의 리만 적분을 응용한 것이다. 일반적인 2차 회전변환 기법에 대하여 보로노이 셀의 다양한 특징을 기하학적 방법으로 분석하여 정리하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 이용하여 비트오율을 최소화하는 회전변환 파라미터를 도출하였으며, 기존의 근사적인 성능 해석 방법과의 차이도 고찰하였다.

  • 기체-액체 이상유동의 거동 시뮬레이션을 위해 Lattice Boltzmann방법(LBM)을 이용하였다. 기체-액체사이의 경계면에서 상호포텐셜 모델인 Shen-Chan방식과 Carnahan-Starling 상태방정식을 도입하였다. 또한 외력항의 처리는 Exact Difference Method를 사용하였다. 개발된 코드를 통하여 상태방정식 특성파악, 기체-액체의 상분리, 표면장력 및 기체 액체 경계면 거동 특성, Homogeneous와 Heterogeneous 캐비테이션, 기포 붕괴등의 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

컴플라이언스 특성을 고려한 멀티링크 현가장치의 조향축 해석 (Steering Axis Analysis of Multi-link Suspensions with Bushing Compliance)

  • Steering axis of suspensions is an important factor that affects ride and handling quality in the vehicle chassis development. Macpherson strut and double wishbone's steering axis are defined geometrically, but multi-link suspensions can not be geometrically analyzed. In this case instant axis theory is commonly used to find a steering axis. Since the steering axis is moving with varying caster and kingpin inclination angle, this method approximately corresponds with exact solution. In this paper, we propose a velocity analysis method to find a pure rotational axis of the wheel relative to suspension arms, that is exact solution of the steering axis. This paper extends the method to analyze the steering axis of multi-link suspensions with bushing compliance. The analysis results applied to double wishbone and multi-link suspensions demonstrate validity and accuracy of the proposed method.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of tree-search algorithm for the exact solution to the vehicle problem (VRP), where set of vehicles of known capacity based at depot, have to be routed in order to supply customers with known requirements. When is required is to design routes, so that the total cost (i. e. total route length or time duration, ect.) is minimized. For obtianing the exact solution, the most important factors are the value of bound and branching strategy. Using the bound based on with bound ascent procedures from subgradient and state-space ascents, the incorporation of bounds into tree search algorithm to solve the problem is shown. Computational results of the corresponding algorithm show that VRPs with up to 40 customers can be solved optimally with this algorithm.

  • This paper presents an examination of theoretical scattering models for radar cross sections (RCS) of lossy dielectric cylinders, such as exact analytical solution, low frequency approximation (Rayleigh) and high frequency approximation (Physical Optics). The validity regions of the PO and Rayleigh models are closely examined with exact solution in terms of various wavelengths and dielectric constants of a circular cylinder. And also this paper examines the PO and Rayleigh models for back and forward scatter RCS of a cylinder at various incidence angles and polarizations. It was found that the PO and Rayleigh model have their validity regions for estimating the RCS of a circular cylinder.

  • In many problems concerned with statistical inferences, it will be of interest to compute tail areas rather than densities. But, it is often hard to calculate the exact tail probability. Saddlepoint approximation formula to the tail probability of a smooth function of random cector is developed by DiCiccio and Martin(1991). Applications of this method to stress-strength model are considered in this paper. To obtain the generalized p-values suggested by Tsui and Weerahandi(1989), we need to calculate complicated multiple integration. However, DiCiccio and Martin's(1991) results offer a convenient method to approximate these very accurately. For many artificial data sets, we access the accuracy of DiCiccio and Martin's by comparing the approximate value with the exact one.

  • As demands on the precision bevel gears are increased in the related industry, the exact kinematical investigations of a pair of spherical involute bevel gears are required for the computer aided design. The exact angular velocity ratio based on the characteristics of the spherical involute tooth is derived and verified from the relationship between rotational angles. Elementary kinematics of the gearsets is investigated by applying the transformation of the coordinate systems. The tooth contact lines based on logarithmic tooth-wise curve are examines in three dimentional space. Contact ratio is formulated and simulated according to the system parameters such as shaft angles, pressure angle, and spiral angles. The condition of teeth interference is dervied and the critical numbers of gear teeth are calculated. The whole surface geometry of a spiral bevel gearsets are discretized and visualized by a computer graphic tool.

  • Least Squares and Minimum Zone method are known for obtaining a datum or a continuous approximate function of measured data. This study is for a Minimum Zone algorithm for a circle, which is useful to obtain the exact roundness from the reference circle of measured data. The proposed method is compared with the Least Squares Limacon method and Chrystal-Peirce algorithm. A computational algorithm for the Minimum Zone circle is suggested and results in less roundness than the other two methods. This Minimum Zone circle method will be used for other geometrical measured data, such as plane or sphere for obtaining the exact flatness or sphericity.

  • 본 논문에서는 고해상 피치검출을 이용해서 정확한 피치를 찾고 각 피치 주기에서의 상관함수와 문턱값을 비교하여 한국어 음성신호를 음소단위로 분리하는 알로리듬을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리듬의 특성은 정확하고 고신뢰도를 갖으며, 변이구간이나 무음구간도 구분할 수 있다. 이 알고리듬은 음소단위로 분리하여 코드북을 설계하는 백터양자화와 음성인식 분야에 적용된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리듬은 PC386/DX 상에서 386/MATLAB으로 실행한 결과 피치주기를 정확히 찾고 음소별로 분리가 가능함을 알 수 있다.

  • This paper is primarily directed toward analyzing the transient response characteristics in hydraulic pipe lines. The exact solution to the transient response characteristics was obtained by using the complicated transfer function derived by Iberall. The discrepancy with the exact and approximate is small, so the approximate solution is adopted to the theoretical one. An equation was derived which describes the pressure times relationship Hat occurs at the end of volume terminated transmission line following a sudden pressure change at its inputs. As a result, It is found that the density has relationship about the Wave Propagation is very useful in analyzing the transient response characteristics of hydraulic pipe lines. The velocity of Pressure wave Propagation decreases as the density of fluid increased.
